Lunch here was just what we wanted. My husband and I ordered two sandwiches and we each had half of the 'chicken' salad sandwich and half of the grilled 'corned beef' sandwich. We liked both. The corned beef got a little soggy but still good. We waited outside on a bench and got served within 10 minutes or so. Very pleasant!

Frenchtown Fresh is one of my regular spots to get a yummy vegan meal for dinner. I usually get the reuben and it is the best one I have ever had. Sometimes I top it off with a fresh pressed juice. I always check the cooler for some fresh and healthy vegan grocery items. The food is amazing and the people are even better!

Abby Hoffman of Yippie fame was an organizer, frequently hanging out here and speaking his form of political enlightenment. That was then. Now, little has changed in the early 18th Century riverside village far north of New Hope and Lumberville that feels like Middle Earth from Lord of the Rings. The bar is still in the basement. The backyard is still a peaceful glade for sipping cocktails or beer and listening to guitar or banjo chords and softly harmonic voices. Their website calls those days, "a simpler time," but I disagree. In fact, those days were complicated times as the community attempted to decide the future of Bucks and the ageless value of the natural flow of water. Demonstrations up and down the pristine Delaware were loud and at times destructive. Even back to Revolutionary times, the local patriots challenged the powers that be by word and deed, while others were loyal to the crown and spied on the rest or thieved horses to sell to the British. No. Those were the "times that tried men's souls." Hardly, simple. Nonetheless, the current incarnation of this tavern does possess the spiritual focus of Jack Kerouac, the author of Dharma Bums, On the Road and other highly influential books in my life. For that, I am grateful. My visit last weekend had me wondering why I hadn't been back in decades. The soulfulness mixed so well with local history, and but for the narrow paved roads and power lines, it could just as easily have been 1776 as 2026. The perfect place to celebrate and reflect on the 250th Anniversary of this inspirational country. Last night, the cocktails were well stirred and shaken. My Tamarind Margarita (without salt) was crisp with a pleasant tart kick. The Elote Corn Bite delicious and satisfying. The companionship of a dear friend, heartwarming. The live soundtrack from the local musicians, very well strung and sung. This may well become the best experience of 2026. Five Magical Stars for the perfect place to celebrate and contemplate America's 250th.

I've been like 5 times in the last couple of months. I want to try everything! So let me list what I've had. Korean inspired street corn? 10/10 Vodka Gochujang pizza? Outstanding! (order an extra side of sauce bc you'll love it so much you'll want it anyway) Brussels Batata is also incredible. I've also had their Brussels caesar salad, their chili, their Korean cauliflower bowl and their Thai fries (good but not my favorite) I can't get enough of this place. I haven't even experienced their music scene yet bc this little vegan is so good motivated Highly recommend over and over again!

The exception is Grounded for Life, which offers delicious breakfast and lunch options that are thoughtfully prepared, delicious, and satisfying. Their extensive, all vegan menu offers breakfast options such as bagel sandwiches, burritos, toasts, and more, and even their coffee is surprisingly good! I have also enjoyed their wraps, bowls, and sandwiches. And they even have burgers and hot dogs, too. GfL is my new spot for takeout (order ahead online to save time!) before heading to the airport. The chunky chicken wrap saved me when my flight back to the West coast (already a long journey) was delayed by several hours and I was starving. The cafe also has a number of yummy desserts displayed in the case that are great to-go. GfL also offers a "Meal Prep" option where you can order food on a weekly or monthly basis. Service is friendly and efficient, but they are sometimes understaffed. Try to be patient and nice, and your tasty food will be out soon enough. The cafe itself is pretty small with just a few tables indoors. The outdoor patio is more expansive, and I recommend enjoying your food and drinks outside if the weather is decent.

So we drove there but were not sure it was open. It was. Just dark. And some things on the menu were not available. But everyone was super nice and they brought us a menu that had what they offer in a blackout. With the flashlights we looked over the menu. They had probably about 8 customers not including the 2 of us. So they were trying to accommodate. I got the watermelon tomato gazpacho and the chick pea caesar salad. Both were very good. On the gazpacho I wish there was a bit more watermelon flavor and chunks. The salad was good. Very hearty. My friend got the mushroom po boy. She liked it as well. The server was very nice and attentive. The lights eventually came back on about 3/4 the way through our meal. So now we could see. The place is cute and the fans were welcome on a humid evening. You have to pay to park. And the restaurant is all the way down on the right. The area is very cute and kinda touristy. The only down side besides paying to park are the prices. Just because it's vegan doesn't mean it's cheap. It's not. Prices are higher. Just for my soup and salad my dinner was $28. I guess that could be standard but I got soup and a salad. But it was good. I would go back, just not often. Overall good experience in a challenging evening with the blackout.

I have wanted to try this place though so this was our chance. It was really cute inside and actually pretty spacious. First of all, I got the 'Cucumber Fresca' to drink which was Muddled Cucumber, Fresh Lime & Mint Sprigs, Coconut Water, Agave. It was SO refreshing and delicious. I wanted to buy a jug of this stuff. My husband and I shared the 'Loaded Nachos' which was House-Made Tortilla Chips, Pico de Gallo, Avocado, Black Beans, Cashew Queso, Salsa Verde & Sour Cream Drizzle. Again, this was very flavorful and a really good portion size. For the entrees, my husband got the 'Piergios' which was Locally Made Potato Pierogi Sautéed with Caramelized Onions, Served with Applesauce and Sour Cream. As a guy who was scared of Vegan food, he really enjoyed these. The entree was $24 which he thought was a high price for the size of the entree but he liked the taste. I got the 'Truffle Topped Mushroom Risotto' which was a Chunky Mushroom Medley, Carnaroli Rice, Shaved Truffle. It needed a bit more flavoring but it was still a decent portion and had a good taste overall. We ended the meal with the 'Carrot Cake'. It was really good size and the icing was delicious! The staff was super helpful and friendly. The price of our whole meal, including tip, was $120.... which is high for sure but Vegan food is always higher. Would I come back? maybe. But I am very glad I tried it.
