    Fireball Super Juice
    Jean S.

We came to Frends Brewhouse for a fundraising event for the HS and had a good experience. Monday is half off pizza night, which was a big plus. I was surprised to see they had Indian flavored pizzas so I definitely wanted to try one of those. I ordered the Tandoori Chicken pizza and it took a little time to come out, but it was worth the wait because the pizza was hot, fresh, and tasty. There were a lot of veggies on the pizza and some chicken, but not a lot. I would have added a lot more chicken. I also tried a fireball super juice at the bar, which was refreshing and not strong. The super juice just happened to also be on special for $6 because there was a football game on. The large pizza was normally $30, but half off for $15 on Mondays. The staff provided good customer service. The server's name was Greg (saw it on the check) and he provided good service. The bartender was great as well. The atmosphere was loud, fun, and busy as it was football night and a school event. They offer regular happy hour and drink specials throughout the month and during football games and Kings games. Good food, drinks, service, and atmosphere.

I selected Frends Brewhouse for our work lunch today so this review is based solely on our togo order. Most people will recognize Frends Brewhouse as the former Pete's. My coworker's and I can testify the food quality is still just as good as Pete's was. Everyone was happy with their entrees. I personally had their delicious white sauce red sauce lasagne and also tried a garlic knot which was scrumptious. Frends Brewhouse is a great option in the Natomas area.

We love a good happy hour! We walked in on a Wednesday to a nearly empty restaurant. This location is where the Pete's was and the menu is nearly the same. We lucked out and it was happy hour. Great happy hour prices and selection! The stuffed knots..... delicious!!!!! The pizza has a solid amount of toppings! The fries are delicious and crunchy! The loaded fries could use some work. All our food was fresh and really good overall. Service was also good and prices are fair. Definitely worth a try!

    Tandoori chicken pizza

Menu hasn't changed much since the name change. Good beers. Monday pizzas are 1/2 off. Recently had the chicken Tandoori. It was recommended by a fellow patron and I decided to go for it. With the yogurt sauce, Serrano for spice. It was a great experience trying pizza this way. No regrets. Going back soon

    Chicken Gorgonzola Bow tie

Decided to try out the restaurant after playing some golf. We were seated right away. The restaurant was busy not super crowded. There were some folks seated in the bar enjoying some playoff games and a few families celebrating birthdays. The atmosphere was laid back and casual. The server was nice and attentive. We started with the Mac and cheese bites and a house IPA. For an entree we shared the chicken Gorgonzola bow tie pasta that had a wonderful sauce that had bacon, chicken and was super flavorful. Served with a piece of garlic bread that was so good! We wanted to try dessert and ended with the butter toffee cake and icecream. It was served warm, the cake had a little bit of a crispy buttery crust that was very tasty. My only regret is that we didn't order two instead of sharing.

The location is great. It's centralized in the Natomas Park area and has a large parking lot. There are other restaurants and other businesses nearby. This originally was known as Pete's for almost two decades. Now it's known as "Frends" (no I'm not missing an 'I' there) but still with the same menu and staff. Just rebranded. The food is really good. They were known for their pizza and it still is really good. It has that beer-dough flavor with a nice and thick crust. The toppings are fresh and very delicious. The salad was crunchy and full of flavor. Their ranch was also very good. The service is okay. If you come during their peak hours, the service might be on the slower side. Our server didn't really come back to check on us and we were waiting for one dish for a while. The prices are a bit pricey. I'd say expect to walk out of here for $45+ for a meal for two. I guess that is average for a restaurant in 2025 but it's still ($$$) if you're wanting to each out. Bottom line/TLDR: great pizza!

We noticed upon arrival that it was pretty busy inside. We were greeted promptly and seated fairly quickly. Looking around there were family gatherings, couples on dates, and friends enjoying each other's company. I later discovered through comments this used to be a Pete's & the food was similar in terms of the menu. The garlic fries were good. We ordered a typical Burger, it was like any normal burger nothing fancy. Didn't mess it up so that was good considering the reviews. The chicken Parmesan was actually super good with the dual sauces. Loved that touch. Our server was really nice and checked in on us regularly. All in all a good experience.

Mushroom burger I had was fantastic, a really great burger! And the Rustic apple tart was great too! No complaints on the food. Service while good, could be better. They could be more attentive on checking in if we need anything. But great food!

Great time yesterday in their private room! Food and Service were fantastic!!! I was thankful to the team that helped us out. We had a work event and everyone enjoyed themselves. The room is nothing fancy but is perfectly located away from the main restaurant area and is perfect for about 30 people to get together.

Friendly happening place. Safe order would be pizza and maybe pasta. We got the Ahi & Avocado salad - don't; and the fish and chips - ok. Our friends got pasta which looked heavy but they seemed to like it. The bread knots were yummy which makes me think the pizza is probably good.

have been going to Frends before they became Frends! my coworkers and i always went to Peet's whenever we had happy hour or just wanted to go out to eat. they are always quick to have us seated and to take our order. i really like the lunch option they have from 11 AM - 2 PM from Mon - Fri. i ordered personal pizza (you can choose whichever two toppings) and it came with the house salad - you can choose any sauce, i chose caesar dressing. for $12, i think it's worth it! you get full after eating the the house salad and 2 slices!

No sauce! No cheese! Very disappointing.

I was also able to grab some ketchup to enjoy those fries. My burger and fries was delivered and there were more fries than expected. I focused on those first because who like cold fries, right??? The fries were actually pretty good, an above average standard French fry with salt. The burger however was phenomenal. There was an amazing crust on the outside reminiscent of a backyard bbq. There was ample bacon, lettuce, cheese and sauce to make it a balanced bite. The bun was high end brioche style, they really went all out on quality of ingredients. A standard burger build but done perfectly! Beer was cold, food was great and the ambiance is a perfect local bar. Great spot to go if you don't mind hunting for a parking space.

Second if you have kids, then again, this is your place. I was there on a Saturday about 2 pm and there were multiple families and the kids seemed to really enjoy the vibe. As for the food and service. Service was great - people are friendly and attentive. I had the Bacon BBQ burger - good - not great, but worth the $15 or so. If i had one critique it would be that the sauce was too heavy and just detracted from the experience. As noted, the Burger had too much sauce which made the burger very messy. The burger leaked all over my hands and I used the two paper napkins in about 3 seconds flat. I went to the counter to get more napkins but there were no dispensers. So then i went to the restrooms to grab a paper towel but both restrooms were occupied. Then I pointed out to the staff that they should have napkin dispensers for their guests - the staff could see i was getting aggro so she offered the hand sink in the kitchen! Nice! Great service. A+ A few detractions - this is clearly a restaurant that leans on SYSCO - a major food purveyor for the restaurant industry. Many reviewers like the fries and shakes - I'm 90% sure these are frozen fries from SYSCO (you'll find the same fries all over the place), and the meat in the burger is probably sourced from SYSCO as well. Don't get me wrong, still tastes fine - just not distinctive. How do I know? A giant SYSCO truck was in the parking lot making their delivery when I was there. As for the atmosphere - it feels like a "Jonny Rockets" style retro burger joint but lacking the 50s style charm. It's white and red and very sterile feeling. It has some 50s decor but it's all pho/plastic and not authentic. It's not the type of place where you'd want to spend any time. It feels very well suited for a shopping mall where people can pop in, eat a solid burger and shake, then get out. The owners clearly spent a lot of time and money converting the space from the dive bar it was to what it is now, but I don't think it's a good use of the space. It's huge - it's got a large patio and tons of parking. It's the kind of place that should have been designed for guests hang out for an hour or two and spend some money, but instead they designed a small menu, counter service restaurant with a sterile atmosphere, the quick service trifecta. I hope they make it, but a space that large must have a pretty hefty rent. They'll need to fill some seats and get some wallet share to survive.
