Welcome to Fresco Italiano! The restaurant is located inside the Westgate Hotel in Las Vegas. This place is huge! There are three separate areas - bar, dining and large group. I'm staying at the bar. They start you off with a quick ice water. For my first drink, I'm having the Italian New York Sour or the "Rome." It is made with Angel's Envy bourbon, Rose-Rye, Samillon Grape Nectar with a Chianti Float. Look at this! Note the Chianti float on top! Nice garnish too! This has a great taste! It's chilled and delicious! Definitely a presence if grape can be found! For my first food item, I'm having Nonna's Zappa de Pollo (chicken soup). It is grandma's recipe made with roasted chicken, vegetables, tomatoes, spinach, acini di pepe and pesto. Acini di pepe is a tiny, bead-shaped Italian pasta, translating to "seeds of pepper." This is yummy! It's nice and hot too! For my next food item, I'm having the Italian Chopped Salad (1/2 size portion). Always ask! This is made with mixed greens, bell peppers, onions, olives, cured meats, cheeses, tomatoes and Italian dressing. This is big for a half portion! It has height too and lots of color! This is yummy! I see croutons too. For my next food item, I'm having the Meatballs. This is slow/braised beef, veal, basil ricotta, grana pardano and marinara sauce. Grana Padano is a rich, naturally lactose-free hard Italian cow's milk cheese from the Po River Valley. This is a lot to eat! It looks so pretty! It's delicious! For my next drink, I'm having the Italian Lemonata made with Pallini Limoncello, Malfy Gin, Saffron Chamomile syrup and Italian Lemonade. I like how they put it in front of you! I like the lemony straw! It's like wicked strong! This drink is tasty! This is the best drink of my trip! For my entree, I'm having the Grilled Salmon. This is made with tomato basil orzo, charred broccolini, Tuscan melon and tomato salmon. I want it so I can down most of it. This is gorgeous! It's nice and hot! That's a big chunk of salmon! What a great meal here!

We joined a few others on our first time here. Our friends came back as they really liked it. I ordered their new Pesto pasta dish and to me, it was mostly buttery and not much pesto flavor, so I asked for more. This came after explaining to the waitress that I really wanted it heavy. I was very specific as to what I wanted with the Pesto sauce. When it arrived, I asked for more pesto and what came was more light green sauce. I guess she did not understand what I wanted. She asked again and I said that it was more of the same, so she brought straight pesto without all the butter or cream. I make my own pesto and it is more rich and flavorful than what all the butter diluted. When o make it from scratch, I add pine nuts, garlic, parm cheese, good olive oil and lots of basil. The Pesto they offered was very good, but in a sense, forgive for saying this Chef, it was 'dumbed down' to be creamy like Alfredo sauce with a little chopped basil thrown in. If this were not a restaurant that has the word 'Italian' in the name, or a chain of restaurants, I would expect this modification. However, in an Italian restaurant, who offers a Pesto sauce, I fully expect it to be the 'real deal', not a stretched version of Alfredo sauce. I would not order that again as it came out and I'm very sorry to post this note. I would say that you may wish to reconsider this design as the flavor was not that of a basil pesto. The portion size was acceptable, but pasta is inexpensive and so, why not 'wow' your guess with a slightly larger portion. I will say that the salads look really good and they are much less expensive as well. I would come back to have their Caesar salad that has no meat. Our daughter had the salmon and she said it was very good. Im just not spending $41 for salmon that has now become an everyday entree. But, she loved it. The antipasto dish was a beautiful presentation as well. The bread on the table also was excellent as well as the balsamic mixture with which to dip it in. The waitress was really trying with all of us and especially for me. I do not eat meat, so I'm limited and my wife is gluten free. They did have and upcharged for GF pasta, which is typical. Have you ever considered offering an eggplant rotolini as an alternative to meat? If you make a tender eggplant and great red sauce, -"and spaghetti, that could be a great addition. I know the restaurant business is difficult, and I want it to do well, so I hope everyone accepts my humble ideas and opinions with this review.

This restaurant is located inside the Eestgate Resort. It had been recommended to me by a friend. INTERIOR - Classic Italian decor. Curved archway, utilization of wood and largee arm chairs creating an Old World atmosphere. The kitchen is open and the high ceilings allow for viewing accessibility. Seating is cozy if you're a party of more than one. The hostess promptly told me I wasn't allowed to sit in a both as a solo diner. Per management. FOOD - Chicken Marsala accompanied with mashed potatoes. They missed on the plating. Nothing specatular and uninteentional drips on the sodes of the bowl. The potatoes were perfectly blended. The chicken was thin and seasoned well, although a bit salty for my taste. The mushrooms were cooked within standards foe this dish. The Marsala sauce was very typical, nothing about it stood out The chicken itself was a little chewy, but passable. I can't say I woukd select this dish again. Interesting spin with onions. This dish could have, should have been served with a sharper knife than just a butter knife. I've had worse, but I've also created better. AMBIANCE - Old World nostalgicism meets hotel resort capitalism. I could suggest better Italian food for Vegas. Nothing especially special about this restaurant other than its convenient location if youre staying at the Westgate. SERVICE - So I prefer to forgo the naming of any specific server. They may be having an "off night" and id be remiss if I failed to provide the grace we all so desire. Therefore I shall simply state that possibly due to being a solo diner it may have been interpreted that the appreciative currency at the conclusion of the experience woukd reflect such. Therefore receiving less than optimum service on this occasion. Those who know me, can assure this is not factual. The server smiled minimally including the greeting and introduction. For a Friday evening, I must say they were not busy. While I am in town I will introduce other restaurants into my repertoire, I cannot say I will be back anytime soon as I seemed more of a hindrance and a problem than a guest.

Dined here on a Saturday night; early 5:30 reservations as we had tickets to the Manilow Christmas show (which was fantastic by the way!) First and foremost the service was exceptional - our server was Lea and she was so sweet and accommodating. We told her about our show tickets so she made a point of getting our food out to us timely. She checked in on us often and took great care of us. The food was very good - classic Italian-American menu. We started with the fried mozzarella which was clearly homemade with an ethereal crispy breading and super stretchy fresh mozz inside. Definitely recommended if you're a cheese fan like me. For entrees we ordered the chicken parm and the lasagna. The chicken was a huge portion that was again nicely breaded and cooked perfectly. I must say I was impressed with the red sauce here - much better than I expected as I'm very picky in that regard. The lasagna was also bathed in that delicious red sauce and the bolognese filling was fantastic. I would recommend both entrees. We ordered the cauliflower for a side dish and it was pretty good except it definitely could've used more seasoning and I personally prefer my veggies to be cooked on the softer side. We loved the basil oil it was served on top of. We usually order dessert but were on a time crunch so we passed. Next time for sure. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves - this is not a place you go for avant-garde dishes that are pushing the envelope but for a comforting home style meal using good quality ingredients. The interior is best described as "Italian camp" (in a good way) with brick veneers and cute frescos (hence the name!) Dinner for two came to $149 before tip which included two generously-poured glasses of Chianti and a soft drink. In my opinion that's a steal considering the great service and good food.

Cozy place inside the Westgate hotel. The ladies that greeted were kind. One of our servers was amazing and from the Bay Area, we happen to go to the same Jr high school. The other server sorry can't remember all the names was also great and gave amazing recommendations. Chef Walter came to our table which was awesome. The Pasta dishes recommendations were fabulous. And they tasted amazing. But the calamari oh my goodness just melted in your mouth. We will be back for sure. Love every bit.

Thanks to Sam for helping us add to our reservation!

The food is good, but the ambiance is the best. Very beautiful restaurant. I enjoyed my pasta. The service was good, however we had some difficulty being able to add some more people to our reservation. Thankfully, one of the concierge staff was able to save the day! Kudos to employee Sam for helping us out to add more to our reservation. It was a busy weekend, but our whole party got seated and food was served in a timely manner.

I came here after a show. Was able to get a seat at the bar no problem. I had the shrimp Alfredo. A little pricey. It was good but more butter than cheese. The Chianti was nice. Service was great.

Commuted the last minute dessert to celebrate my husband's birthday and fresco Italiano really came in clutch! We were staying at the hotel itself and came to the restaurant just maybe 10 minutes before they were supposed to close. Barriers were already put so guests could not come in but we the walked up to the bar and requested a pistachio tiramisu and they gave it to go. Tiramisu itself was really soft and creamy and delicious. Just the perfect balance of the mascarpone and the coffee and the pistachio. I was actually surprised how well the flavors went together. It was also the perfect level of sweetness (neither too sweet from the sugar not too bitter from the coffee). They even delivered on the the decorations even though we ordered it to go. Quite a big potion size as well by the way!

Delicious food. Our server Angelo took great care of us. I made a reservation on Open Table indicating it was my bday. It seemed like the whole restaurant was made aware. I received lots of well wishes from staff. We did have to wait about 10 min though. The Ricotta Gnocchi was SOOOOOO good and filling. My husband had Alfredo and added chicken, mushrooms, and chicken. He really enjoyed it and couldn't finish it. I was given a complementary slice of ricotta cheesecake. Nice touch. The slices are $12. Yummy. Beautiful decor. Low lighting. Casual dress. There are steps to walk in to the restaurant. Highly recommend for good Italian food. Family friendly, but entrees average $20.

An updated review, but I'm still on the same star rating as one year ago when I ate here. The ambiance is nice - there's tables in the bar are and there's a more traditional dining area with an open kitchen. We sat in a booth and it took a while to have a server come greet us. So, we had time to look at the menu. When she did finally come we ordered beverages. Our friend had a question on the available beer because the restaurant is very dim lighted for ambiance and the writing is quite small on the menu which he could not see. Upon asking the server, she immediately said, "Well you can read it on the menu." This was an immediate turn off because we understand there's a menu, but perhaps the writing is small and with the lighting the person cannot see it. She could have asked if the person preferred a light beer or a {insert type} of beer which would help her narrow down a suggestion. After ordering beverages, the beer NEVER COMES. On top of that, servers with tables all around us are immediately served bread from their server, yet we did not receive any. When our server finally comes around, she has bread, but then we ask where the beer is and she says, "Oh! Let me go get it." At our table, we had Lasagna, Rigatoni Bolognese, and Linguine Clams. The lasagna was just OK - the server raved that it would come out bubbly hot, but it was warm, but not bubbly. It is a large portion though. The Rigatoni Bolognese was pretty good - again, nice portion and it's what you would expect in a good dish. The Linguine Clams has a nice lemony flavor and a little spice kick. There are quite a few clams in the dish and overall good. The sauce isn't quite the brothy kind you might come to expect, it's got a little creaminess to it. All in all - the food was alright, but the start to the server and then the server never coming back mid-entree to check if all was good is a knock on the service aspect of the dining experience.

Food was great, service was great and the atmosphere was very peaceful. We didn't almost come to dine here because of some of the reviews. Im glad we did because the food was delicious. Andy was a great server, attentive and very friendly.

Great food and great ambience. Had planned on going to Edge steakhouse but it's closed on Monday. Can't say I'm disappointed.

We started with our usual grilled octopus, which unfortunately was dry, chewy, and lacked the flavor we remembered. The short rib arancini was equally disappointing--it was dry, and the short rib filling was virtually nonexistent. The only highlights of the meal were the bread basket and the short rib agnolotti, both of which were excellent and lived up to our expectations. To make matters worse, the table next to us brought in a small dog. I'm a dog lover and even take my own dog to pet-friendly places, but unless it's a legitimate service animal, I don't believe it belongs in what's meant to be a fine dining experience. This was clearly not a service animal, and it distracted from what was already a disappointing evening. After so many wonderful experiences here over the years, this was the first time we've left truly disappointed. I sincerely hope this was just an off night, because Scarpetta has always been one of our favorite restaurants in Las Vegas.

No Italian food anywhere this good since Felix Trattoria in LA opened with the glassed in humidified Nonna Room where Chef Evan wielded his chitarra and made Sausage Tortellini with his sausage fingers. Felix was the Italian version of the glass Dumpling cage at Din Tai Fung where the 18 year olds made 18 folds all Din Tai day. Many Italian Restaurants use store bought Pasta. It's an acceptable Chef cheat. Some even go to the trouble to buy Bronze Dye Extruded dry Pasta as it pits the Pasta to help absorb Sauce. Here, the Pasta is all made by hand. (Renta Nonna?) All hands on deck and on the Rigatoni. There is a discernable difference especially when the fresh handmade Pasta is cooked quickly to keep it as toothsome as Ferraro's does it. The Decor: Rich, warm, welcoming, earthy and understated elegant. So, no warehouse close out of Majolica Pottery. The Hostess will greet you as if you were really someone she'd like to sit next to at Thanksgiving. This place is located off The Strip in a Strip Mall and thankfully no street stripper cajoling you to take a photo with her/him for a ten-spot. The Bar: As full as a Bar can get with some of most anything you can order to go with anything you can pick from the ambitious menu, and the wine list is heroic. Overwhelmed by the signature Cocktails I finally picked a Drunken Strawberry with a little push from Ivana the wonderful Server who cared for me like the first night with an adopted pound puppy. My drink had Porter's Tropical Old Tom Style Gin, Chamberryzette (Strawberry Aperitif), Aperol, and Fabbri Fregola (Strawberries in Syrup). It leaned sweet, and two more would have had me leaning in the street. Within minutes Fabio the "Bread Boy" offered a tray of complimentary warm Rustic Rolls which were favuloso along with rectangles of Foccacia. The House made Tapenade was meraviglioso. The Staff: Ivana was as warm as the beautiful Rustic Rolls. She was charming and genuinely concerned about every detail to insure that all her guests enjoyed everything they selected from the huge menu. And they all did. Who's here? Locals, regulars, expats all dreaming of what they ate every Sunday at their Nonna's kitchen table. Of course there were a few turisti who ventured off The Strip which rivals Bourbon St. and Times Square for being a rip. You'd have to know this wonderful place is here and now you do. The Food: It is simply not possible to make a mistake or bad choice here. The food is exceptional. The Ravioli with a chunk of Beef Cheek inside was brilliant. This could've been a main course. The Arancini Cacio e Pepe was the size of a Rawlings Baseball only much easier to chew. It's a Black Pepper and Pecorino-Romano Cheese Rice Ball breaded and fried then topped with a Truffle Cream Sauce laced with flecked and bits of Black Truffle. (Ask for a side of Crestor). While crisp is America's favorite flavor, apparently, it's Italy's too. Crunchy and creamy these were beyond delicious. Finally, the third appetizer took a bow. Crudo di Coda Ricciola (thin slices of Yellowtail), with Fennel, Hazelnuts, Capers, Calabrese Chili Oil and a drizzle of White Balsamic Vinegar. This was more than just fish. It's more than you could wish for, capeesh? My Caesar was good enough to hail. Creamy, Garlicy Dressing with just a hint of Anchovy and Toasted Bread Crumbs replacing soggy Croutons. Lovely. The Lobster Aragosta (like saying Shrimp Scampi), was pried out of it's shell (like a debutant at her first dance) tableside with the expertise of a trauma surgeon. The Pasta was perfect, nice and spicy, and coiled attractively with a fork in a ladle and more than enough for four hungry Construction Workers. Lobster in unskilled hands is often bouncy and rubbery. Not this one, it was tender, slightly transluscent, sightly briny and half buried in the Fresh Pomodoro Sauce. I ate way more of this delicious Pasta than I had any right or ability to. It was addictive with one bite. So, yes it was worth the 4 plus hour schelp from LA to get here. Ferraro's is the Ferrari of Italian Cuisine (a bitaly of Italy for sure) and might just be the true home of home made Italian food in the Country...any Country.

We've been coming to Vegas for years and this is, without question, the best Italian meal we've had here. From the moment the house-made sourdough bread hit the table, we knew we were in for something special, and every single dish that followed exceeded our expectations. We started with the charcuterie board, and it completely blew us away. Even my daughter's simple buttered spaghetti was incredible. Because the pasta is house-made, you could immediately taste the quality. After that first bite, we couldn't wait for everything else to arrive. It's rare for a restaurant to exceed already high expectations, but Esther's Kitchen did exactly that. Outstanding food, exceptional service, and an experience we'll be talking about for a long time. This has officially become our new go-to spot every time we're in Las Vegas. Pro tip: Do yourself a favor and save room for the chocolate coconut dessert. It's a stunning chocolate shell shaped like a coconut, filled with ice cream and fresh mango, and it was hands down one of the best desserts we've ever had. It's the perfect ending to an unforgettable meal.

They said 10 minutes. 30 minutes later, we walked over and saw eight open bar seats. We had to ask just to sit down. Service didn't improve once seated. Our bartender, Carrie Ann, was never around never checking on us. We couldn't even get our water and iced tea refilled, which was very disappointing. The food was a mixed bag: * **Mussels:** Very good. * **Pizza:** Great flavor. * **Cheese & Butter Pasta:** Disappointing, very dry like it sat in the window to long. Great pizza and mussels, but the absent bar service and long wait for open seats ruined the night.

That just doesn't happen that often, so wife and I came - minds and mouths BLOWN AWAY! Cute place WAAY off the Strip but in a strip mall. (reservations needed) PEOPLE: Albino and Erma are the best, with their son also taking care of you. You literally sit five feet from Albino (pic) as he whips out THE BEST ITALIAN CUISINE IN VEGAS! (no caveats) FOOD: Los Olivos salad, sinful bread, super-light calamari, 'made-to-order'(?) lasagana, the lamb (pic), and a shrimp scampi that *stunned* my very culinarily experienced spouse are not to be missed‼ Besides my insane same-day-flights visit, Shar and I also did a w/e in LAS and ate here *both nights*!! Completely diff but fabulous meals. Like I said, believe that gives my review creds - trust me :D p.s. Almost forgot: bring your fav bottle of vino - no corkage

Staff was attentive, welcoming, charismatic which added to my first time dining here. Overall id totally come back. I find it overpriced but its vegas and at least I know itll be tasty food (ex: how is one meatball $10 excluding tax + tip) Free Bread (5/5): Loved the toasted garlic bread!!! Cauliflower & salami came out too but I didnt try it Spicy Rigatoni Vodka + Meatball add-on (4.5/5): Both were delicious. No option to add chicken so i ordered a side of meatballs which is not on the menu ($10 per meatball). For $36, the vodka pasta should come with a protein. Tortellini Ragu (3/5): Loved the ragu sauce & meat, I felt the tortellini was a little too rich but I think thats personal preference. Couldve came with more meat for $38. I wouldnt order again Tiramisu (5/5): Soooo good, definitely recommend. its enough for two people Tip: Make reservations in advance as its very popular. If you dont, you may get lucky and snag a spot at one of the two bars inside like we did!

The restaurant is much larger than meets the eye and we were seated in the small back room with the additional bar. There were quite a few tables open. Service was attentive and professional. We ordered a bottle of wine which they kept chilled and always made sure to refill our glasses as needed. I was a huge fan of the complimentary starters and to be honest I think they were my favorite part of the meal. A member of the staff comes to your table to serve a chunk of parmesan cheese cut right off the block. You also receive a bowl of pickled cauliflower, a beautifully presented salami rose plate, and a basket of 3 types of fresh bread. Our waiter informed us that everything was served family style and meant to be shared, so I found it interesting that they split our order of Spicy Rigatoni Vodka for us. It's one of their most well-known dishes and we really enjoyed it. The Octopus Pizzaiolo was delicious, especially with the inclusion of the crispy potatoes. The thick piece of fish on the Salmon Oreganata was beautiful but the salmon itself lacked a bit of seasoning. They bring around a dessert cart but we opted out as nothing caught our eye and we were pretty full. They brought out a small birthday dessert with a candle, which was delicious and always appreciated.

We had reservations at 5pm so it wasn't busy yet. The dining was very nicely furnished. They have about the same amount of seating on the patio as in the dining room with a bar and high top tables in the middle. I asked if the White Truffle Garlic Bread could be made gluten free. I was so happy to hear that they can. I felt like I had died and gone to cheesy heaven.before I developed my wheat allergy I ordered garlic bread anywhere it was in the menu. It's one of my favorite foods. So when I say theirs is quite possibly the best I've ever had in my life, it means something. We ordered family style for the entrees. We ordered the Bolognese Pappardelle, Strozzapreti, Ricotta Cavatelli( subbed gf pasta), Chicken Scarpariello and Short Rib Lumache. They were all absolutely delicious. Dessert did not disappoint either. We ordered the Brookie sundae and the Tiramisu. I couldn't have the Tiramisu but I was told that it was great. The Brookie sundae was a fun dessert. It came with vanilla, pistachio and chocolate gelato, whip and some sort of cake on the bottom. I didn't go all the way down because of my stupid allergy again. The gelatos were all good. It came with a side dish with strawberries and nuts and little chocolate balls. I can't wait to go back again. Next time I'll tell the rest of the table to get their own garlic bread so I don't have to share mine. I'll have dreams about that bread. So heavenly!!!!

Out of everything we ordered, my favorites were the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka, Chicken Pesto, and the Pepperoni Pizza with Hot Honey. The Chicken Pesto was a little more lemony than I expected, but I would still order it again because it was very good. The Spicy Rigatoni Vodka had the perfect amount of spice not too spicy, but enough to give it great flavor. The Strozzapreti and White Truffle Garlic Bread were not my personal favorites, but my family really enjoyed both of them. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere were great, and I would definitely come back.
