We made a reservation at Casa Di Amore, and I would definitely recommend doing the same if you're planning to visit for dinner. The restaurant was packed, and even with a reservation, we waited about 10 minutes for our table. The atmosphere was fantastic. They had live music, the whole room was lively, and everyone seemed to be enjoying the band. Our server was incredibly sweet and attentive and made the evening feel extra special. We started with the garlic bread, which was so cheesy and delicious that we finished it almost immediately. I ordered the Gypsy Pasta with fried chicken. Since I had never tried their famous Gypsy sauce before, our server kindly brought me a sample first and suggested I taste it before ordering. The sauce is a very spicy blend of chilies and has a bold, unique flavor that may not be for everyone, but I really enjoyed it. My husband ordered the chicken marsala with mashed potatoes, and he said it was one of the best versions he has ever had. My pasta was also delicious and unlike anything I had tried before. My only suggestion would be to use a little less Gypsy sauce, because the generous amount slightly overpowered the pasta and chicken. When they mention "Vegas the way it used to be" it is absolutely right! The food: classical Italian staples like cioppino, lasagna, chicken marsala and veal at an affordable price point. I've had the eggplant parm and spaghetti, and they are both flavorful and robust. Not to mention, the portions are very generous! You can easily share a plate with 1-2 other people. Service: excellent! The servers have worked here for years, so you know they have pacing down to a science. Drink orders were taken right away. Then warm bread is served. Apps are dropped with time to digest a little before the meal. Servers check in without being overbearing. The entertainment also makes for an unforgettable experience. They sing the classics and encourage the cowed to join. It feels like your home, or at least visiting Nona's Sunday dinner. What I love about supporting this place is that they explain why tiki culture is popular with Italians. I had no clue. When I saw a tiki bar attached to the restaurant, I just thought it was a gimmick, but after reading about it, I thought it was the coolest thing. They have an old-school Vegas feel interior (think like "Casino" the movie) and entertainment/performers for dinner on weekends, I believe. We always get the Steamers (clams) for an appetizer with a white wine sauce. So good. The broth is liquid gold and pairs so well with the bread. Their pasta dishes are all good & hubby was so excited to see they have Veal on the menu because we haven't been able to find it anywhere here since our trip to Italy. We made a reservation for 6 and I was disappointed that the most comfortable booth for 6 had just had a party of three people sat down and we were shoved into a smaller both. Poor planning especially for a reservation made a month ago. The interior is beautiful and spacious. Thankfully, they played the Sunday NFL games on several of their TVs. Here is what we ordered: Famous Garlic Loaf: crispy with soft melted cheese on top with an amazing garlicy taste! Mushroom Risotto: super rich and creamy - the mushrooms on top were well sauted and seasoned. Beet and Feta: my wife's favorite! The pecans and square cut feta made the dish. I'm not the a huge fan of beets but these were tasty. Eggplant Parm: top three eggplant parm dishes in Vegas! The eggplant was crispy and well layered with sauce and cheese. The spaghetti on the side was surprisingly flavorful and paired well. Vegetarian Pizza: can't go wrong here - well made pizza and zero complaints. When you walk into this spot,it's almost like walking back in time,feels very old school Vegas,with pictures on the walls featuring Vegas in its glory days,and the cutest old school piano player setting the vibe in the main dining room. As far as food goes,we went with a fried ravioli appetizer for the table.We went with Linguine Bolognese,which was a very tasty dish,the linguine was cooked perfectly and the New York Strip featured meat sauce was great blend of seasonings.Next we went with the Chicken Parmigiana dish,featuring a well textured breaded chicken cutlet with just the right amount of melted cheese over their classic Spaghetti Marinara-we all as a group thoroughly enjoyed the chicken cutlet.Lastly I kinda shocked the group and ordered a Meat Lovers pizza for the table,let me tell ya,not sure if it's underrated or overrated but that pizza was great,their crust had a wonderful buttery flavor that hit just right with each bite-truly enjoyed it!! This made it difficult for everyone to communicate and had our party yelling over the party that was sat in the middle of us. We have been here a few times in the past several years and always enjoy it. They provide a shuttle to hotels but you need to book that early as it fills fast. We love the ambience. Arrived and was seated very quickly, our server asked us what we wanted to drink, she suggested a chocolate martini for my mom in law, and she suggested a nice red sparkling wine for me, my wife doesn't drink. I ordered the veal scaloppini, the meat was tender and the sauce was good, I ordered the alfredo sauce for my side of pasta, the pasta was aldente' , but the sauce was missing something? my wife ordered the fettuccini alfredo, and she said the same thing about the sauce. My mom in law order the pasta carbonara, she said it was very tasty. We also ordered the antipasto plate, this was also tasty, but they are using the wrong prosciutto, it was too dry. for desert I had the chocolate cake, very rich and decadent, but I don't think it was made in house? This was mine and my husband's first time eating inside Cas di Armore because we usually order our food to go. The inside is absolutely gorgeous, and the hotess was really sweet. They music they were playing really fit the theme, 1940's and 1950's music, and maybe even some 1930's music too. I felt like I should be sitting there in a 1940's long cocktail dress, with a faux fur stole, long cigarette holder, long gloves, statement jewelry,and my hair and makeup done to perfection, including bright red lipstick.I honestly expected men in suits and fedora to walk in with glamorous women on their arms. Our server Debbie was the greatest. She was very careful about my allergies, and she checked to see if there was anything that I was allergic to in what I ordered. She was very attentive without bothering us, and she knew the menu very well, and she made our dining experience even greater. My husband was so happy that they had spumoni ice-cream because that's his favorite, and their tiramisu was out of this world! This restaurant is also very handicapped friendly, and they have handicapped parking and a wheelchair ramp in front of their restaurant, and the hotess took great care in asking if I wanted a booth, or for her to pull out a chair from a table because I'm in a wheelchair, and she didn't make me feel like I was putting her out in any way, and when we left an employee even held the door open for us! My husband and I had never gotten that much consideration at most of the restaurants that we eat at, and this kind of compassion brought tears to my eyes when I got in our car. Debbie didn't even act like I was bothering her when I mentioned my allergies, she acted like it was a normal everyday occurrence at the restaurant. From our appetizers to our entrées, our food was delicious. It was like eating at your Nona's house with all your family and friends. I would also highly recommend Casa di Armore for a date night, first date, anniversary, proposal dinner, or any other special event because it's obvious that your special event would be their special event also, and they would make sure that you had nothing, but great memories of your special event. Even the young lady who pre bused our table was super sweet, and the server that I had to say, " Excuse me" to, so I could by was very polite and he stepped out of the way. Their prices are reasonable too. The piano player was a perfect addition to the ambiance.
