This donut shop is located in a strip center behind some Texaco pumps. For a donut shop, they actually have quite a varied menu of kolaches breakfast tacos, and croissants. I got there just minutes before they closed at 2 PM and they still had a decent selection of donuts, but everything else had been put up. Nonetheless, they still got me a kolache from the back and the donuts I picked were still fresh. They do have a coffee bar area and they sell Boba milk tea smoothies, neither of which I purchased. I have to admit their goods are above average compared to many other donut shops I have visited. And since they open at 4:00 AM you can grab something to go for the early morning commute, but they do not have a drive up window. I come here all the time as it's in the neighborhood I frequent and the staff is friendly and the prices are fair. It's easy to find in the the gas station parking lot and plenty of parking. The food is always good too. I usually get donuts, kolaches, breakfast tacos, and croissant egg sandwich with bacon or sausage. The food is always consistent in flavor. I order here so much that everyone now and then they do forget something or mess up the order nothing too crazy. The food and donuts are already made for the most part. They sometimes will throw in extra donuts so it offsets for the, the occasional mess ups for me. However on a large order I would definitely double check everything. It's a 5 star review because the few times they have messed up they went above and beyond and fixed it immediately and apologized. I really appreciate them for that. The donuts are sweet and fresh, the kolaches are good. I believe I've tried all of them. The breakfast tacos are good i really like the sausage egg and cheese croissant that my favorite. I definitely recommend Smiling Donuts for as a top notch breakfast spot. The customer service is exceptional! Wanted to grab a quick coffee on my way into work and saw this place as it's located very close to my new office. I stopped and was welcomed in immediately. As soon as I saw display of all the kolaches I said oh wow this looks amazing. He asked if I'd been there before and immediately gave me a free doughnut for stopping in. So nice! We have been going to that same place for a while and honestly... that place was just not cutting it any more. So I looked for another donut place I could get delivered to the house. Yelp to the rescue! There it was Smiling Donuts... they have donuts, kolaches (fruit and meat), croissants, and more. I gave them a try. I ordered 2 dozen donuts, 1 dozen Kolaches, 3 dozen donut holes, a dozen jelly filled, a couple of specialty items like maple bacon donuts, an egg, sausage and cheese kolache and a boudin kolache. The delivery was quick... and man when I opened up everything they had tossed in some cake donuts, a long John, and a large sausage and jalapeño kolache! The stuff was fresh! It was ohhh so tasty! It was a serious step up! Best thing was when we didn't eat it all... what? We aren't gluttons... we have some restraint... I did have to untie the old pjs and losen them up a bit, but that ain't da point... When we ate some of what was left after dinner and again the next day... they were still great! They participate in Too Good To Go (app that lets food establishments sell food for a big discount at the end of the day that would otherwise be wasted). YUM! BEST SALSA!!! Wonderful service! I tried this place a while ago and I can't stop going back! I've always gotten it delivered to our apartment or my job and they never disappoint! Sometimes they even throw in a little surprise like a free donut! They have such moist and fluffy cake donuts, not crumbly and dry like most places. It's a small mom/pop shop in a new commercial plaza (next to Texaco) offering fresh, tasty donuts and kolaches. They have a variety of kolaches. The jalapeño kolache is slightly spicy and the bun is slightly sweet, big and tasty! Tried the Butterfly roll, which is a big cinnamon bun. Glaze was perfect, not too sweet.
