I've frequented Fresh Fire Grill multiple times and I've yet to be let down. The staff are very friendly ms accommodating, the place is clean, and most importantly, the food is amazing. I always get either the pulled pork sandwich or the Asian tacos. Both have a taste that is fresh and wonderfully flavored. Phenomenal food! The flavor will wow you. We went there for dinner and had the beef short ribs, Asian burger, and kale salad. Every bite of every plate was amazing. Perfectly cooked ribs, sticky with marinade. Great tangy slaw complimented the Prather ranch beef patty on the burger perfectly. The kale salad is what really blew me away. The dressing is something I will crave a lot. The place was clean, the service was superb. Food came out a bit slow, but it was during a rush so no worries! All in all this place is a gem well worth the drive from ShRedding to Palo Cedro to partake. My only concern is that there's not enough indoor seating for colder or hotter days. Probably one of my favorites in this whole county. Located in Palo Cedro, right down the street from the gym where I work and just generally spend a lot of time at. This place is EVERYTHING I want. Fresh, fast, simple, organic. This is the food I want all the time, and a lot of places just don't offer it. Good portions, tasty but simple recipes. My go-to is the Chicken Fire Bowl with half brown rice half greens, and fire sauce of course. It's filling and healthy and reasonably priced. If I'm just needing a little snack, I get the Asian Chicken taco---SO yum, and only $3. I also love that they serve up a few fresh juices. SCORE! The location doesn't bother me since I'm out in Palo daily, but my ONLY complaint about this little joint: THEY AREN'T OPEN ON THE WEEKENDS!! :( read more

Very excited about this new restaurant! Great family operated establishment, excellent customer service. Our party ordered the teriyaki chicken plate, the chicken was tender and delicious. The Korean bbq plate, and this was our favorite dish of all. The pulled pork sandwich, the pork was tender and flavorful, it's not drenched in bbq sauce but they give you an extra side so you sauce it up the way you like. And lastly, the hamburger with pepperjack cheese, nice juicy burger and it's topped with Asian coleslaw, which was very good also. The only suggestion I have, is that the buns on the hamburger and pulled pork get soggy really quick so it would be nice to have a different bun that can stand up to those dishes. I'm disappointed. I made an effort to drive out to Palo Cedro in hopes to have dinner with my little family. Everyone in the restaurant including other fellow customers were nice except this one particular cashier. She was plain RUDE. My little family and I were waiting in line and while we were waiting in line, we had to scout for an available seating area. It took close to 20 minutes till I got to the front of the line to order. I could tell the cashier was irritated since the restaurant has been busy. I, on the other hand didn't mind the wait. However, I overheard her telling a sweet customer in front of me that she was not happy about their rush. I finally got the chance to order, so I started with a Korean bbq ribs plate, and she answered, "No, we're out!!" I replied, "Awe okay, what about your teriyaki chicken plate?" She answered, "That's another 30 minute wait!!" At that moment, I started to wonder why the owners of this wonderful restaurant would hire such a lazy and rude person to be the cashier (the face of the of the restaurant). If you're the owner, please consider hiring a more pleasant cashier. I'm sure your food tastes great but bc of this one particular cashier, I may never come back. *UPDATE* The wonderful owner of this restaurant took the time to message me and he apologized on behalf of his employee. I am very pleased to know that there are still restaurant owners that care for their customers. Anyway, today my family and I went back to, "Fresh Fire Grill." I have been to this place many many times. The food is always good, except when they are out of food. Tonight was the second time I have been where it was not busy and they were out of chicken and pork. Crazy, 6:30pm on a Friday night, only 2 families in the place and out of the two main proteins to make their food. Bordering between a 3* and 2* downgrade here but I will stick with 3. Came in for lunch yesterday and there's a definite and noticeable change in the quality and food here. The ahi bowl - when they first started serving this the flavors were amazing and the ahi was fresh, bite sized and excellent quality. The fish was in much larger chunks and was really veiny which made it hard to eat. The flavors were not the same. It just wasn't as good. My guest had the pork sliders and they were inedible. The pork was not good at all - extremely dry, gristly, hard to chew and just not good at all. Restaurant was clean and service was friendly otherwise the food in itself would had been a drop to 2*. I think they've spread themselves too thin with the second location and the lapse in quality is showing at both location. I ordered the Korean BBQ plate and it was perfect. Grilled short ribs, white rice, mixed vegetable salad and a cucumber salad. The sides were as good as the ribs and they were amazing. The whole plate was perfect, a great combination. I asked for a side of hot sauce Togo with my meal because I usually like to add a little heat but after tasting it I didn't want to mess with the awesome flavors. Very simple menu but it works! My kiddos and I just found out about FFG from Enjoy Magazine. We live in Oak Run so it is close for us. We ordered the Asian Taco, 2 burgers, Pulled pork bowl and had some of the Kombucha. It all came out so quickly, and was absolutely delish! Each items was flavor packed and just full of all kinds of organic goodness! The Kombucha is bottled in Mt Shasta and is very smooth and delightful. The seating is sparse and if you go later I would almost say get your food to go. I got there right as they opened and by the time we left they were packed. I would note.... this is all organic, natural food for an EXCELLENT price but, if you are looking for a complete bargain go elsewhere. For the type of food you get this is an terrific deal. Limited menu and the wait could be long during a busy lunch or early evening, but definitely worth it. Mom and Pop biz that's a highlight in Palo Cedro. They are both super nice and friendly. The place is small, so if you want a seat, come early. I have tried the Asian tacos, the pork sliders and the wings for appetizers. The wings are my favorite, but they are everyone else's fave, too, because they tend to run out. You can go sweet or spicy, I tend to lean towards spicy but either choice is great. Get plenty of napkins. Better yet, come with a wet wipe because they are deliciously messy. I can't get passed the fire bowl because it's so yummy. I stick with the pork and go fire all the way. It's spicy with a bit of sweetness on the end. You get to choose white or brown rice or salad and they are very liberal with your choices so if you prefer one over the other they are quick to accommodate. The large is plenty for two folks or for one extraordinarily hungry person. Again, they are generous with the portions. Don't forget to wash it down with a sweetened tea or lemonade. I haven't asked for an Arnold Palmer, but maybe I will next time. Separately, each beverage is fresh and delightful. If you are in a rush, call ahead because you might be there for a little while, the secret is out. read more

I order from here pretty regularly and am never disappointed whether I get Asian Tacos, Korean BBQ Ribs, Teriyaki Chicken, or my personal favorite Tuna Poke. My bowl didn't have any flavors and I asked for it with no beef patty and they still gave it to me, we waited for 25 mins for our meal and an additional 5 mins for them to "remake" my bowl which they only just took off the patty. Wasn't disappointed however wasn't blown away either . Had to try out the poke bowl or at least what's closest to it here in Redding. There isn't a legit korean bbq place either so I like the attempt of this restaurant combining the idea to offer those options. The short ribs were a bit salty but it was still delicious. The tuna actually held up to the fresh taste. For the price they offer for the dishes my friend and I got, we considered it reasonable. Tho the short rib was only one slab. They should consider two. Overall, it was a good outcome for our first visit, despite how tired the girls just looked when we walked in on a super slow evening, granted we were greeted but they all just looked like they could use a nap to be honest or didn't want to be there, however the food held up for a some what awkward first impression. Maybe it was too slow so they had nothing to do. Ps for those of you that may think this is a full service restaurant, it's not. Order upfront first and seat yourself. It's about 3 to 4 minutes away from my house, and the fact that I'm having to contradict a highly respected and beloved yelper like Janet C. brings a tear to my eyes. I mean let's face it, she's a well-traveled connoisseur of all things fabulous and exclusive. But this was my second visit to the Fresh Fire Grill, both visits were underwhelming. The hamburgers are adequate, the pokey bowl and the chicken teriyaki can only be explained as adequate as well. I must admit I'm a bit baffled by the high reviews on yelp.
