Came here on a weekday morning around 11am and wasn't really blown away by their selection. Got a chocolate almond croissant which I asked to have warmed up and ate on the premises. It was tasty, though on the sweet side. I also got a green tea and azuki red bean pastry to go and a basque cake. Neither of them really blew me away. They were both also on the sweet side. The basque cake also didn't have much flavor to it; it seemed to mostly be a custardy cake. Overall I was kind of disappointed after all the hype. I was in the area Saturday morning and needed to grab a quick breakfast and came across this spot! we parked on the street and walked right into a glorious pastry case! we ordered: - drip coffee - croissant with caramalized onion and cheese - fudge cookie - choco croissant OMG I loved my croissant with caramelized onion and cheese! Working from home during this mid corona apocalypse has been so draining. I walked to Fresh Flours and asked if they made Red Bull Italian sodas to which they informed me they did not. One of the employees, whom I am assuming is a manager, offered to BUY me a Red Bull from the 7/11 across the street to make it. I declined and said I was just going to 7/11 instead for the Red Bull since that's what I really need anyway. I buy the Red Bull and I decided to go back to Fresh Flours and THEY MADE ME MY RED BULL ITALIAN SODA! I was so excited to have my drink that I left and realized halfway down the street that I didn't pay for it. I walk back to tell them I forgot to pay and they all smiled and said it was on them! WOW! This was my very first time at Fresh Flours and I explained to them that I am new to the area and hadn't had the chance to explore the city due to the corona shut down. Back in college when I had zero motivation, Red Bull Italian sodas where the only thing that kept me up, thus my hunt for this drink today. Very cute store front. The service was great and I greatly appreciate the social distancing stickers. The merch was so cute that I had to talk myself out of getting a mug since I was getting so many pastries. I got the butter croissant, ham and cheese croissant, currant pecan croissant and the kouign-amann. The ham and cheese croissant was my favorite as the croissant was nice and flakey and ham was savory and not too salty. The currant pecan was the staff pick and was delicious! The location seems like it would be great if you are in the Phinney area at the zoo or at the community center as it's between the two. There's plenty of options for free street parking if you are driving. It's a solid choice for baked goods in Seattle and would highly recommend it if you are in that area read more

I love matcha everything, but I gotta say, this Green Tea Muffin is phenomenal! It looks so unassuming on the outside, like, "Ho-hum, look at me masquerading as a regular ol' muffin." Nice try, muffin. I'm not sure how Fresh Flours has found the perfect balance of earthy matcha and sweetness, but they have! That first bite is full on matcha goodness, followed up quickly with soft chewy sweetness (but not too sweet!) If you're a lover of matcha, this one is a must! read more

Fresh Flours has turned into one of my go-to coffee spots in the Phinney ridge area. Great place to work from if you need to mix up your WFH routine. You will find people working from here often or people with their families before heading to the zoo. I love all the small quick grab and go break and lunch options. I also appreciate the vegan breakfast burrito and taco option! And If you're a fan of pastries, they have a wide assortment to choose from. I have never received bad service here, all of the baristas are friendly, even on the days it's packed and busy. Only bummer is that they no longer take cash, but that is only due to the recent break ins in the neighborhood. read more

One woman's opinion: I'm honestly shocked at the reviews that say this place has the best pastries in Seattle. Have you not been to Cafe Besalu or Rosellinis? Because those 2 places are far and above the outstanding choices. OUTSTANDING. It's a shame Besalu is currently closed. Fresh Flours does some things well: their coffee cake is outstanding and I hear the Basque cake is amazing. They have good baristas and good coffee. However, they have no croissant game. The good thing is that they have now opened up multiple locations so that if one location is sold out, I can drive to another one. Today we literally walked up to Coyles which is about a mile north only to get in line and have my husband go "can we just head towards home and go to Fresh Flours." -- That is sayings something. Went in today to try the coffee and a muffin. I got a vanilla coconut milk latte and a blueberry muffin, and my boyfriend got a raspberry macaron. The coffee was really good and the barista made it very quickly.
