My server was patient with me and even allowed me to taste a couple of sauces to help me make my final decision. They are next to Los Reyes (my favorite Mexican food restaurant) and across the parking lot from 24 Hour Fitness. Truly healthy food that tastes fantastic. They feature ribeye and sirloin steak along with chicken breasts, chicken thigh, pork tender loin, pork belly, and tofu. I was fortunate to sample the pork loin, chicken breast, and chicken thigh. All superbly cooked. These are served along with beautifully plated salads that have baby greens, strawberries, grapes, and more. All the dressings (almond ginger, balsamic soy vinaigrette, pecan peanut, etc.) are fresh made in house. You can tell the owners and staff take pride in serving amazing food. It's healthy, the ideas are great, and the flavors are ok but they were out of two main meats on the menu. Chicken and beef are some of the main meats on the menu and they were out of both of these in certain cuts. Five out of ten people in our party had to reconsider their dinner choices due to ingredients from their dishes being unavailable. They were also out of tea. All of our food came out separately and the food that came out first was supposed to be eaten with the meat that came out later but by the time our meat came out our noodles and other food had gotten cold. I figured we would just order and try to enjoy our meal anyways and then I got my dish only to realize after my first bite that my meat was not fully cooked through - I ordered the pork tenderloin. The amount of food and the quality is honestly not worth the price. I felt like it was a healthy meal but I would rather go to a salad place and add some protein in it for a lot cheaper. Back to being awesome and clean , I was thrown off by some aspects of this place they had a cat once and so on a few years back but no longer. Also compared to Nancy's sky garden which has the same food by target and in George Town but never open for some reason even before the covid pandemic cannot compare. Fresh Heim is 100 times better the guy who owns it is kind and can make a great salad . I come here when I'm feeling fat (which is always ) I go between here and juice land when I need to tone it down from all the donuts I smash in my sugar frenzies and burgers and nachos I can't help but love . I'd recommend the chicken with the mango sauce and salad option with black rice or sweet potato noodles and a hummus spring roll for appetizer or even a meal in itself . Give them a shot but I will say they are a little pricey on some stuff, although I do spend tons of money on food I'm sure gave me love handles this winter , in other words health is priceless . read more

How can you not get drawn in by "Steak and Salad" plastered on the front of the building? Then getting inside, a little confused by the Asian presentation of the food items. The menu is wonderfully organized with variations in text color to highlight meat with either vegatable or salad, for instance. The dining room is well organized and spotlessly clean. Tables are expediently cleared and cleaned with sanitizing solution. When asking for an additional utensil, the item is presented wrapped in a napkin untouched by server's hands. Such detail to food safety done seemingly intuitive in the standard practices of this establishement. The dining room seems to be flooded by white noise with a soothing meditative sound track being dispensed at a perfect volume. Conversations are not overheard between tables. Conversation at one's own table however is not hampered. The voices that are spoken in the room sound soothing and soft. The acoustics are perfect. If enjoying by oneslef, an excellent opportunity for a meditation while awaiting service of the meal, IMO. The food is presented as if it were a portrait framed by the plate it is sitting on. Visually satisfying. Produce and vegetables are unblemished and fresh. Each ingredient and food item meticulously processed and placed on the plate to present a range of textures in the eating experience. Complimenting the natural flavors and high integrity of the indgredients are various sauces for noodle and salad for instance. The sesame oil and ginger flavors for instance are satisfying, not overpowering, and compliment the item they are intended to accompany. This is neither a positive nor negative review as I decided not to dine there. I went to this restaurant during lunch yesterday for the first time after reading them listed as keto friendly on the reddit group. Everything on the menu listed rice or noodles. I asked the waiter if I could substitute extra vegetables or salad for the rice but he was very clear that substitutions were not permitted. I asked what they did have on the menu that was low carb and he pointed me to the side salad. Ended up going next door to the mexican place and getting a very customized keto lunch with no argument. The place itself lacks personality but it's very (very) clear what they are all about. Fresh ingredients with an attention to variety and healthy supplements. The salad itself is piled high with fresh veggies and fruit. Pineapple, strawberry, grapes, red pepper, carrots, cabbage. Seems like all of your items come with a "sauce." A vegan, a low-carber, a guy who doesn't eat red meat, another guy who mostly eats red meat, and a very picky eater walk into a restaurant... Team lunches can be a challenge, when you have folks of different dietary needs/preferences. It's tough finding a place with a menu that doesn't alienate one or more folks completely ("Don't whine, vegetarian! That BBQ joint we're going to has potato salad and cole slaw for you to eat!"), or that is so broad it can't possibly be done well. So, when a new person joined our team, I went on a limb and called a "welcome" luncheon at Fresh Heim. It certainly wasn't where I expected it to be: In the shopping center at Lake Creek and 183, next to a liquor store and "Cici's Pizza", across the lot from the "24 Hour Fitness". This is the kind of "ladies who lunch healthily" place serving food that would be at home in a day spa in Westlake. But, ummm, instead in a parking lot with a "Cici's Pizza". They quickly sat our table of nine, with staff smiles all around. We were a little confused between the sauce choices for salad, and the sauce choices for our proteins, but the wait staff met us with smiles and patient answers. Folks still got a little caught off guard by the purple tint to the rice (expecting plain steamed white rice), and the piles of vegetables in the "salad". Just having everything on one plate was a surprise to some. I purposefully kept my pics as clean and unprocessed/unfiltered as the food I was trying to show. But, our diverse group all seemed to have no issues devouring the food. And even I didn't feel hungry at the lunch option. There are larger dinner portions to choose, if you think you might have an issue with portion size being too small. Clean, fresh, and healthy. Service might be best described as "relaxed". My medium-cooked beef was tasty. The tofu option was popular with our two vegetarians, as was the chicken with a couple others. The American in me wanted to ask for more dressing for the salad (the peanut pecan was great), but I didn't. The Red Pepper sauce was a hit for those that like a bit of kick. It looked like a great stir fry (especially with the "noodle" option, the japchae comparison made in another review is apt), that just never got stirred/fried. And in a good way. As we left, the female chef wished us farewell from the back, and all I could do was smile. If the Jokhang Temple in Tibet has a cafeteria, it feels just like Fresh Heim (in my head).
