A healthy and refreshing option for lunch or dinner! There are a bunch of different bases to pick from. My favorite protein is the bbq chicken. I can't justify paying the premium for the steak (even though it is quite good). The bowl is already about $9.. so adding on another $2.25 for steak, I don't think so. The add ons at the end are also extra $. My favorite sauces are the coconut sriracha or the holy kale. I get the sweet potato noodles and brown rice as my base. Both good. I went during dinner time today so they were out of half of their veggies so I didn't have a big variety to choose from so I had to settle for the mushrooms. There was nothing fresh really about Fresh. Most of the food look like it had been out there for awhile, and it was extremely lackluster. Maybe it's a Florida thing, where it's not so much about quality as much as just capturing the mindset of the shopping mall mentality, where people don't really know what good food or the salad bar concept is really about. In NYC, we have places like Dig, or even Sweet Greens, which makes a variety of options available to a variety of tastes. But at Fresh it really was simply about grabbing what they can with as little as they could without much effort or taste. Fresh Kitchen is now one of my favorite lunch spots. Great food that is 100% gluten free, offering a variety of healthy build your own bowl options. I went with the rice, basil mushrooms, lemon garlic broccoli, grilled steak, almond crusted chicken, which were all amazingly delicious and compliments each other well. I topped it off with avocado, kale slaw and kale pesto tomatoes which was so tasty. The steak was cooked a perfect medium to medium well and seasoned perfectly. It was very busy. The food did not look as how it is presented in their advertising. For an example, the grilled tofu did not look like cubes of tofu. Rather, they were tofu crumbles. I always add the avocado as well. Online ordering is super convenient. Ordering in store is chipotle-esque, and I enjoy that the staff will answer questions about what's keto friendly etc. Interior of the store is pleasant and clean. Staff wear masks. The drink selection is healthy sodas and Frescas, all of which are nice. Pricing reflects the use of higher qualify ingredients (which are apparent in taste). This place is definitely a big hit in Boca. The place is always packed at least anytime I've stopped in. Definitely a healthier option in a fast food world lol. The staff here is always super nice and willing to assist. While in line waiting to order if you look to your left they have fully stocked cold press juices and a cold pressed coffee both which were pretty good if you ask me. Now about the food menu. The set up here allows you to order certain entrees or actually make up or build your own order. The items for meats ranges from chicken to steak, vegetarian options. Sides range from broccoli, green beans, rice, etc. Some really yummy sauces to try to add a extra kick to your meal. One of my favorite part of this place is online ordering. Like I mentioned before there's always a line so this helps a bit. The food always seems fresh so no worries there. Dining here is simple cute seating and decor inside and outside as well. It our first time here. The food was ok, many items are so over salted. They need to lay off the salt. The main reason for the 2 star review is because the staff was very uninformative and rude to us. The first girl told me my bases were a selection of 4 things on the mash potato side. I wanted a salad but she misinformed me of what I get with my 6 bowl. When I told her I didn't want two bases of carbs and wanted a salad, she didn't know what to do. I don't know if she was knew or what. Then this guy took over who was young, terrible attitude and kept rolling his eyes at us. Made me so uncomfortable. We gave them a couple more chances after that and again the food was too salty and lack luster all the way around. Salt is a flavor enhancer not a seasoning. I'm not a fan, but I can see why others might be. I found the broccoli to be spiced way too hot, the sweet potatoes to be undercooked and the dressing on the crunchy kale salad to be bitter and unpleasant. The almond crusted chicken was decent but on the dry side. The beef was fatty. I don't get the attraction. Just a funny side note - they tape the packages shut with a big piece of branded tape to avoid driver tampering or food falling out, but it has no effect when the food containers are small enough to slide through the sides. I'm not a geometry expert, but I did pretty well on putting shapes into their correct holes. read more

I finally got around to trying FK and I really loved my meal, but I wasn't thrilled with the people who were working when I was there. They weren't very helpful and they gave me robotic-like answers to my questions. It was my first time here and I was a bit overwhelmed. I am a semi regular at Bolay so I know how these places work. At Bolay you are encouraged to taste something if you never had it before & that makes the process easier. I asked to taste the grilled citrus chicken and the guy seemed annoyed. Keep in mind it was late afternoon and the store was quite empty. I liked the chicken but it was ice cold. I asked to try the BBQ chicken and with my sample I also received an eye roll. I wound up getting the small bowl and it was the perfect size for me and I enjoyed everything. I went with the cauliflower potato mash as my base & it tasted just like mashed potatoes, it was delicious. The roasted mushrooms were so good and I went with the BBQ chicken as my protein. The saucy chicken was excellent. I added a side of guac but it was bland so I didn't eat it. I tried the holy kale sauce and it was just okay. They use 100% olive oil, the meats are antibiotic free and most items are gluten and dairy free and they don't use processed sugar. Love this! Listen, I used to be obsessed with Bolay but once I tried Fresh Kitchen my life was forever changed. The quality of the food is much better and I prefer their selections. I always get the sweet potato noodles with some kind of chicken and for veggies usually broccoli or Brussel sprouts. This location has amazing parking since it's located in a plaza with shopping stores nearby. I've ate here 3x and each time I was in and out pretty quickly. The service is fast and easy. 3 1/2 stars. Bowls, bowls and more bowls! It seems like there is a new Bowl place on every corner. Fresh Kitchen is similar to Bolay and Beehive Kitchen. Create your own bowl with bases (carbs or salad), veggies, proteins, toppings, and sauces. I liked Fresh Kitchen. I just did not like the place as much as the other places. First, compared to Bolay, I was not a fan of the configuration of the bowls. The small bowl at Fresh a Kitchen comes with 2 bases, 1 veggie 1 protein, 1 sauce. At Bolay the small bowl comes with 1 base , 2 veggies, 1 protein, 1 sauce. That would not be an issue except that I really go there for the veggies and not the bases. In fact at Bolay and Beehive, I always substitute the base with a veggie. When I asked to do this at Fresh Kitchen, the server at first refused. It was not until I told him the competitor up the road does it all the time that he relented and substituted the veggie for the base. I tried the Baked Almond Chicken with Mushrooms, sweet potatoes, and coconut sriracha cauliflower. Everything was good. In general I though, the food was tastier at the other places. I did think Fresh Kitchen has a nice assort if soft drinks and beverages. It still love the bowl concept. I was eager to try Fresh Kitchen as a new one is opening bear my house. From the cashiers and line servers to the management, the staff clearly prioritizes the customer experience. And the food is AMAZING! Since my last visit, I was contacted by a couple of people on behalf of FK who were very concerned about my lackluster experience. I absolutely appreciated that. I went back today to try it again, opting for a different base, protein, and topping. First, I didn't want two bases, just one portion of one, but I DID want two veggies. I asked if I could swap and was told no. The lack of accommodation was disappointing, but whatever, I paid extra for an extra veggie. Then I got Parmesan cheese for an up-charge. So what started at a bowl for $6 and change rose to nearly $10 because of cheese and cauliflower. I still found this extreme. Taste wise, I enjoyed it, but I think I'd find it a bit lacking without the coconut sriracha sauce. My friend and I, along with several other nearby were extremely put off by several bugs flying around us. One patron even asked an employee if she could perhaps clean around us to get the bugs away, but the employee seemed a bit apathetic. We were pretty grossed out by all of the flies everywhere. While I appreciate the concern for keeping customers coming back, I'm still not sold on the price to value ratio or cleanliness. read more
