My absolute favorite place to eat. Healthy, clean and delicious food. Chipotle couldn't touch this if they tried

Fresh Kitchen, which is easily comparable to the likes of Bolay and Beehive, is a healthy alternative to your lunch, which is great. Overall I liked it here, but as this market kind of starts becoming saturated, I'm not sure if I'd list it as my overall favorite. If I have any tip for you is that if you're going to go there at noon, order your meal online as it's super busy. The line moves as fast as it can, and that's typically not the staffs fault as it is the customers since they really have no clue what they want to order. The employees are quick to give you a sample which I enjoy because you want to know you're going to like something before you pay for it. The inside is brightly decorated with pinks and blues. And overall has a fun feel to it. I liked the dining area, especially the comfortable outdoor seating area. So the menu. Here's where I sort of struggle. They have different sizes as most other like businesses have. Here we have the six bowl which is two bases, two veggies, two proteins and a sauce. The four bowl which has the same amount or bases, but one less veggie and protein and finally the kids bowl which is one base, one veggie and on protein. Not feeling uber hungry that lunch, I went with the kids bowl since the only difference was the additional base and it was almost two dollars cheaper than the next bowl up. I got their glass noodles, teriyaki chicken, and green beans. For my sauce, I got the creamy white ginger. I got to say, everything tasted amazing. I loved the chicken and I really loved the sauce. Everything had a nice seasoning to it. Simple, yet tasty. I don't know if it's because I got the kids bowl, but I did think the portion was kind of small, even if it was almost $7. I know I probably shouldn't, but if you compare it to say a Chipotle bowl, or even a bowl from Bolay or Beehive, the portions elsewhere are much larger for a comparable price point. Another thing that I didn't love is that every add on is an additional cost. If you want tomatoes, it's an additional $1.50 where at other places it's free. Cheese will run you an extra .50 and sauces will be an extra .25 cents so your lunch quickly adds up. Add a fountain drink that's $2.59 and your lunch definitely going to be close to the $15 mark. I really did enjoy the experience. I enjoyed the food, I honestly just think the price point is a little high. I totally understand that healthy food typically does cost more, and I'm glad that these options are available, but I think I would like it a little more had I gotten a little more food and less of a nickel and dime experience with their add-ons. I still would recommend to anyone looking for a healthy food option in the area. You're going to like what you get, I can pretty much guarantee, just be prepared to pay. read more

Overall, the place is clean, service is great, and I like the ambiance! It was about $14, so I was expecting more food. My only/favorite quick bowl style establishment. FK is seriously so good and quick when in a rush. My favorite is the BBQ chicken or the Almond Crusted chicken when I want to eat a bit cleaner. I'm not sure exactly how healthy it is (no calorie counts/inconsistent serving sizes) but I never feel gross after eating here. The white ginger sauce is my favorite. My typical order is Chicken, Avocado Rice & Cauli Mash, Green Beans or Sweet Potatoes and white ginger sauce. Give it a try! read more

I'm really not one to write reviews...pretty much ever. But the incredible care and service I received tonight compelled me as a way to say thank you to the awesome team at FK. The background: I placed an order on Uber Eats like I often do. I ordered a lot because their cookies are healthy and sugar free and are pretty much the only sweet I can have right now. Anyhow, I get a call from a random number which happens to be Frank, the Assistant GM at Fresh Kitchen. He goes on to tell me that the Uber Eats driver rushed through the restaurant and only grabbed one of my two bags. Frank took the time to call Uber Eats and let them know about the mistake. Unfortunately, the driver basically said he wasn't going to go back to fix his mistake to get the bag that he forgot. Frank convinced Uber Eats to give him my number (no easy feat I imagine) so that he could speak with me personally. He then drove 15 minutes on his own time to give me my bag full of cookies. It's extremely rare to have this level of care these days. I am a lifelong Fresh Kitchen customer thanks to the incredible love and care that Frank and the rest of the team showed me today. Love love love FK, Literally the only issue I have with continually going there is the portions are never consistent anymore. it seems the vibe depends on who's serving, or how snotty the kids are that are working that day. There has been 3 times now i've gone in to buy 3+ bowls and the portion sizes are all over the place. They charge me different every time, depending on who's there you can only get one sauce. They no longer give 3 almond chicken it's 2. Vale, bolay, beehive, bowlicious, all have punch cards to get a free bowl after so many. If i didn't have a severe gluten allergy with very limited options, I would have stopped coming here a long time ago. Been wanting to try this place for a while now finally got around to going because it was in the same area as the spa I was going to. So I got the 6 bowl with cauliflower mash which was great. Brussel sprouts enjoyed those as well I even tried the chickpeas which were pretty flavorful as well. Ended up paying exTra for salmon which a few pieces were raw I couldn't eat that and steak... idk if that's how they make their salmon there but it would have been great to know before I paid extra for that... the employee were nice and helpful and the environment was clean and spacious. Fresh Kitchen is always a go-to when I want to get something quick, healthy, and delicious. This location is consistently high quality and their takeout orders are always on time and at the designated no-contact pick up location. Everything I've ever tried from FK is delicious, but my favorites are the almond chicken, cauli potato mash, and the citrus guacamole (worth the add-on price, it was SO good). I think prices are fair and I'm easily satisfied from the four bowl. I really hope they come out with new menu items soon as I would love to have other options!! read more

I've been eating lunch at FK numerous time over the course of the year and it is consistently​ delicious! I do wish this location was not so difficult to access during lunchtime. 11:00 til 1:00pm is the busiest time- parking is a battle, the line can move very slow and you compete with pick-up and take out orders. Also, sometimes some of the bowl options I like are not available. If you can visit during an off-time, you won't be disappointed! The food is very flavorful and there is a selection that will please meat-eaters​, vegans, children and calorie watchers alike. Well put by my husband, "This is what food is supposed to feel like -- it doesn't weigh you down and you feel good after eating." On days I'm too exhausted/busy to cook, this place is our go-to for take out food. When I went yesterday I noticed they keep the stove top and counters clean all the time. Workers are cute (you know, young and energetic) and friendly too. Our favorite is the sweet potato noodles and the grilled mushrooms. Green beans are a bit too salty for me. Pesto chicken was great and my daughter loved it too. I personally always get the citrus avocado too, but I have never tasted the citrus in mine (I only say that because someone else had mentioned it). We NEVER get the sauces. First time here and the food was pretty good. I ordered the medium bowl with noodles, quinoa, green beans, and steak. The green beans and noodles are amazing! I'm really torn about this place. The food quality is very good, with the notable exception that I have received inedible scorched broccoli on more than one occasion. But the thing that hangs me up is that the combination choices are just... weird. As everyone else has already mentioned, Fresh Kitchen is another build-your-bowl kind of place. And everything I've had is individually good, but the options to put it all together feel like rummaging through your fridge for leftovers, and then finding a sauce to tie it all together. For example, the only two veggie choices when you order online are Parmesan roasted broccoli or roasted mushrooms. I don't do mushrooms if I can help it, so parm broccoli it is. But how does that combine with my choice of (pick two) several warm rices or mashes, or cold sweet potato noodles, lettuce, or kale? Now, for the protein options: do I want my free chicken citrus-y, almond-y, bbq (sauced and all), or upcharge for something else? Once you decide on that flavor palette, now your sauce to top it off-- how does creamy ginger or or cucumber jalapeño go with anything I might've already put together? And then for the upcharge add-ons: feta? Where does that fit in? So today's combo was parm broccoli, cold noodles, warm veggie couscous, chia tuna poke, and sriracha sauce. And I never venture too far from that same theme. I work very close, so it's an easy option for quality clean eating, so four stars. But every time I pull up the menu online, I stare at it for ten minutes trying to find a combination of items that seems correct. read more

Very disappointing Last few times there in Boca they were out of some foods waiting on the kitchen which took forever. Portions have dramatically decreased. Used to fill their bowls a little above bowl now 2 inches below bowl...really?....say something and they look at you like you're from Mars. Staff has become unfriendly serve you like a robot. Since my fiancé and I have gone vegan this place has become one of our favorites to stop by for lunch. They have a changing menu so each time we come back there's something new to try and our favorite veggies are still there too. The only downside I'd say is that there's only chilled tofu for protein (if you're vegan). Other than that I have no complaints. I ordered more sensibly this time, I chose the six bowl priced at $9.99 instead of the four bowl, the six is the way to go. My bowl had two chicken selections, coconut ginger rice and sweet potato noodles, broccoli and roasted mushrooms, I also chose a salsa topping and a ginger dressing. I have been eating at FK multiple times a week since it opened its Boca location. I have also eaten at their competitor Bolay. The food is pretty good at FK but they are extremely inconsistent! There will be a food item that is unavailable at least once a week, there have been times when online ordering was unavailable for days for a particular store and have had close to 1 hour wait times when ordering online as well. Portion sizes have drastically been reduced as of late. Also, If you order in the restaurant, the staff will be extremely confused if you order anything that deviates from the kids, four or six bowls. Staff is also not the friendliest. I feel that Bolay is much better in consistency across the board and it's a much easier and efficient process. Food wise they're very comparable. I love FK, but there is some work to be done to work out the kinks. read more

The ambiance alone is a great reason to step foot inside Fresh Kitchen. The Chipotle-style restaurant is located in a modern building down the way from Fresh Market. The massive windows that outline the structure of the store allow sunlight to shine through, making it a more happy experience. Upon walking inside, you see the large instructions on the back wall behind the employees that help customers select the components of your food bowl (base, veggies, and protein). There are plenty of base options like kale claw, quinoa, rice (regular and seasoned with fresh herbs). The veggie selection is just as vast including foods like roasted green beans, sweet potato, bean chili, etc. The protein options were okay for vegetarians and pescetarians, tofu and tuna, but of course better for ones who eat poultry and red meat (different types of seasoned chicken and beef). Overall, the experience was amazing. It was simple to navigate through the store given the two major bowl options (four or six items). The employees were also very friendly and helpful. Yes, the price is high (~ $8-10) but it is worth it for fresh, great tasting food. I would recommend this place to everyone, especially those looking for clean food options that are quite filling. read more
