I went to pick up my usual order and was very disappointed with originally one order not being right, I understand there are mistakes so that's easy to overlook. But we started to notice that something was not right with the quality of the bowls, we both had to throw away most of it due to weird pieces of something that was scattered throughout the order. read more

Been here a few times and the visits are always pleasant. The pink is inviting. The plants on the wall are a nice touch. The healthy, fun, good idea is great. I learned about sweet potato noodles and cauliflower mash potatoes from this place and gave me a new outlook on vegan foods. The fountain drinks are nice. Not too sweet. Love this place. Stopped in here tonight for dinner, and was pleasantly surprised with the delicious food they offered. I ordered the bowl with four options and it was plenty of food for me. I also ordered a dessert, the three pack of chocolate chip cookies, which were delicious. I washed it all down with a bottle of water that actually comes in a can. What I didn't like was I ordered the salmon and steak for 1 bowl and at the end asked for the pico and some cheese, no one told me that these items were extra and maybe I am blind because I didn't see any signage regarding this either. I was asking about the crunch kale but girl made me feel like I was stupid I would have liked to try it but I wasn't told it was a base and I asked what the bases are. I've been to FK about a dozen times now. With places like this, I feel like to give it a proper review, you've gotta go at least a few times. Pro's -Fresh food. I usually get the kale and spinach for my bases. They're always great. -The sauces are pretty on point. I really like the Sriracha based one. It's a nice little kick. -The have really good house made beverages. I tend to stick with the strawberry lemonade...really good. Con's -It's expensive. You're paying a premium for what you're eating. -The last few times I've gone my proteins (usually steak and grilled chicken...) haven't been all that good and very dry. Found this place on yelp and went for lunch with a friend, loved the concept and the freshness of the food. Cute and friendly place. You pick a base and work your way down to vegetable and protein. Various choices. I had the kale base, spicy chickpeas, bbq chicken, moist and delicious. Oh forgot the brown rice, my friend chose a ginger rice, mushrooms & bbq chicken. I added some avocado as topping. All the mixed flavors, delicious and so fresh tasting. Two lunches about $30 bucks, the more or less items you chose determines price but definitely enjoyed it. I have to to say I am very disappointed with the new changes that fresh kitchen in Davie has implemented. About a year ago you took away the Brussels sprouts stating they were not in season. They have yet to return. That was one of the reasons I chose you guys over Bolay. Your Brussels sprouts were cooked properly. I continued to frequent your establishment because I genuinely like your food. My husband and I eat at this location at least once a week and I've noticed in the past few months that your staff has been hesitant to put food in the bowls. They literally have taken food out of our bowls so that they don't "over serve." You guys should be embarrassed. Why are you taking food that was already served out of peoples bowls? Today, I visited and I not only notice that the girl was so afraid to put food in my bowl, but It was clear as Day that the portions served are now almost half. I even said something to her and she said, that's the new portion size. I also noticed the new bowls that are clearly smaller than the previous 6 bowl. I think this is a disgrace. You continue to increase prices and give less and less. You have now lost a customer you have had since you opened. Be better. read more

It seems like so many healthy bowl concept places keep on popping up and I'm not complaining at all. I love eating food that makes me feel good and gives me energy. Fresh kitchen has a variety of bowl bases, veggies, proteins, and sauces. You can choose between a 4 or 6 item bowl. I've been a couple times and every time I choose a slightly different combination. On my most previous visit I was a bit restricted because I've been trying out the keto diet. Since I have to eat very low carb I couldn't choose have any of the grain base options. I chose the spinach salad and the cauliflower mash.. I didn't realize until after getting my bowl it was actually and potato and cauliflower mash... which seemed to be like 95% potatoes with a sprinkle of cauliflower mixed in. Unfortunately I couldn't eat it because al those potatoes are definitely NOT keto friendly. For my veggies I chose the Parmesan broccoli and roasted mushrooms. Both were great and paired well with the sauces. For my protein I chose the buffalo chicken and almond crusted chicken. I really liked the buffalo chicken, but the almond crusted is better for dipping in the sauces since it doesn't have a sauce already on it. All the sauces sounded great and I had a hard time choosing just one so I went with the coconut sriracha and the creamy white ginger. I was a little disappointed that they upcharge you for a second sauce... especially when you're getting the bigger bowl. In my opinion the bigger bowl should come with 2 sauces. Anyways, I did really enjoy the creamy white ginger sauce and would definitely choose that one again! read more

Wasn't too big a fan of FK. It was a cute spot, nice little garden area to sit in. Just wasn't impressed with the options and bowl sizes. I feel like Bolay and beehive give you more for your money and have some better vegetable and topping options. Definitely a great spot for a quick, healthy lunch. They only had one vegan option for protein and one vegetable/topping that was vegan which is surprising for a place like this I was expecting some more options. Staff was nice, place was clean.
