I love the food here! Everything is as healthy as expected and right up my alley. Given the options available, the customer is in total control of what goes in the bowl. My favorite bowls typically include the grilled steak and sweet potato noodles minimum as a staple with the white ginger sauce. The other options are equally delicious, fresh and very flavorful. There are many healthy options of drink available. For example, They have usually three different fresh juice/tea fountain drink choices or the bottled fresh juice options. They also have bottled ginger shots. I've been to both this and the South Howard Avenue location. So far to me, this is The busier of the two from my experience. My favorite sauce to use here is the holy kale sauce. It's so good! This location has very comfy indoor seating. They have a decent sized, but parking lot in the back. I rarely dined at Fresh Kitchen before I became a mom. The food isn't bad, but I'm a pretty decent cook so I felt I could replicate most of the dishes in my own kitchen for a much lower cost. Fast forward to today when I don't have time to cook because I have my hands full with a baby. Fresh Kitchen is my go to spot when I don't have time to cook a healthy meal! I have several menu favorites at Fresh Kitchen. The cauliflower mashed potatoes, kale slaw, and sweet potato noodles are some of my favorite bases... actually all of the bases are great! My baby boy loves the cauliflower mashed potatoes too! I have yet to find a roasted vegetable that I don't love. The parmesan broccoli, green beans and Brussels sprouts never disappoint! The sauces are mind blowing good. If I could only figure out what is in the holy kale sauce! I could drizzle that sauce on everything!!! The only criticism I have is that the steak is chewy and the chicken is often overcooked or dried out. I can usually overlook this detail by dunking the meat in extra sauce! read more

Went with my girlfriend for some post international plaza lunch. Atmosphere and setup are chipotle like, as is the pricing. I went for the six scoop: two scoops of base, veggie, and protein. You have to pay for salsa and guacamole here which sucks. I also got the sirracha coconut sauce on top. For base I went quinoa and spinach. For veggie, I went broccoli and garbanzo beans. For protein, I went almond baked chicken and bbq chicken. I got the corn and black bean salsa which cost extra. The almond baked chicken is SO good, next time I'll get just two scoops of that for sure. For about $10.50, the amount of food I got was pretty solid. It was really healthy and flavorful. I wouldn't normally eat quinoa, broccoli and chickpeas on the same plate, but for some reason it just works here, throwing everything together. Definitely will be back! read more

One of, if not, the best lunch spots in the area. Parking can be a small challenge, depending on what time you go. Don't let the long lines during lunch rush scare you away. The line typically moves pretty quickly. I have tried a few different combinations here and I can't say that I've hated anything. The sautéed mushrooms are like crack and the blackened chicken never fails. The food here is so flavorful that I barely have to touch any of the amazing sauces. The people working here are always so nice and have a positive attitude. At around $10 for a six bowl, I typically get 1.5 to 2 meals. Can't really beat that price point for a healthy and delicious meal. read more

If you give this anything but five stars, you are lying. The only place I can be in-and-our of in less than ten minutes with healthy GOOD food. You walk in (usually there's a line, but it moves quickly), it's cafeteria style so you walk down the line and pick what you want. I always do the largest bowl (2 bases, 2 veggies, 2 protein). Some of their choices do change based on the season. The noodles and cauliflower mash are my favorite bases. The Parmesan broccoli and mushrooms are my favorite veggies. The baked almond chicken and steak are my favorite proteins. They have tons of options though. I have tried many restaurants like this but the quality and the way the proteins are cooked here is unmatched. You have to try this place for lunch one day ! read more

I come to fresh kitchen all the time! This location is closer to me so I love the convenience. During heavy COVID times they were taking orders outside and now allow for online ordering. Now that some of the restrictions are lifted they have their normal process and the staff all wear masks. I love when they change up their protein and vegetable options. My favorite time to come is when they have salmon in season and Buffalo cauliflower. They have different bowl options as well you can get the six bowl, four bowl etc... I love Fresh Kitchen. It doesn't matter how long the line is they keep it moving quickly. I stopped in for lunch with my son today since he had early release and it was packed even at 1pm. It really is the perfect lunch, you get to customize your bowl with whatever you want. Kiddo got the tuna poke with extra brown rice and no veggies because he likes to annoy me and not eat his veggies. The creamy ginger sauce goes great with the tuna protein choice. I ordered the usual spinach (chilled), baked chicken and my all time favorite broccoli drenched in parm cheese. I always go with the herb balsamic sauce because I love all things balsamic. I like that they have so many ice tea choices. I usually get the mint hibiscus. They also have cold pressed juices that are pretty good. Wow! I wish they had a place like this back in Chicago, it's pretty much a healthier alternative to Chipotle.. you choose your base, proteins, and veggies. You could choose the sauces at the end that range from avocado ranch-spicy sauces. It's a walk-though so make sure you have an idea of what you'd like because it's a fast paced line (especially for lunch time). Overall, the service is friendly and they don't mind explaining how everything goes. Very spacious and plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. Clean environment and clean stations. They also offer juices sold separate from the meals, but well worth the price. If you're in the area definitely stop in for a healthy and filling meal. read more

After my second lunch I am really liking this place! Although the parking lot around lunch time is a nightmare they are very fast no matter how long the line is. Today I got the four with cauliflower potato mash, brown rice, broccoli, citrus chicken, and coconut siracha. The broccoli is sooooooooo good! It is my favorite part! I was also really impressed with the cauliflower mash! It tastes just like mashed potatoes. The flavor of the citrus chicken and coconut siracha was also delicious! I've never been in line for very long and the food is fresh when i sit down. The flavors are good, but neutral enough to be combined with anything. YUM. This place follows the whole new hip idea of make your only healthy mixed bowl. You get to pick different entrees, sides, sauces, etc. to make your own bowl. My best friend (a local) is a regular here and told me that everyone loves everything here! That was proven true. This is an enjoyable meal (plus, it's guilt free because it is pretty healthy and balanced). One of the most impressive items to me were the cauliflower mashed potatoes. I am such a carb girl and LOVE my mashed potatoes. Unfortunately, most cauliflower mashed isn't great to me. This felt like eat potatoes, good potatoes. Was it potatoes? 10/10 recommend. If you like Fresh Kitchen in South Tampa, you will like this one. The best thing about it is that there is much more parking and seating. My lunch buddy and I went today and were able to get parking right away. We did have to wait in a line that snaked out the door but it moves pretty quickly. The quality of the food is the same as the other location I have been to and we were even able to sit there and eat it! When we have gone to the other location we always got it to go because there was never any seating. I typically get a 4 bowl (2 base, 1 veg, 1 protein) and then add another veg to it but it is almost the same price as a 6 bowl (2 base, 2 veg, 2 proteins.) There are countless combinations you can have here, but I usually get rice and the kale slaw for my bases, mushrooms for one of my veggies and then another one depending on what they have. I usually get grilled chicken but today I got the steak. It was really, really good! You can then add extra toppings, get one sauce included and purchase additional sauces if you want. Fresh vegetables, lots of options, and relatively healthy, this is a great spot for a delicious, good-for-you meal. There is a parking lot out back, and although it was full when we arrived, cars were leaving constantly, and it was easy to get a spot. Like many fast food places these days, you walk along a counter, telling the employee what options you want in your bowl, then pay at the end. There was a bit of a line when we got there, but that was good because we could take our time deciding what to get, and scope out what combinations others were getting. The line did move very quickly, and fortunately they were staffed appropriately, with employees bringing fresh food out non-stop. I went with the 2 protein, 2 veggie combo, and next time I would go with the smaller size, because it was a lot to eat. The noodle base was surprisingly excellent, and that, combined with the kale salad base was delicious. I loved the tuna poke protein ($1.50 extra), and thought the tofu was just okay. The last stop was for sauce on the side, and I really enjoyed the cucumber jalapeno. It wasn't too spicy, but it definitely had a kick. Food is still fresh and delicious but there's plenty of parking here (don't be scared off by the parking in the front) and the inside has a very cool trendy/retro vibe. They should think about keeping that one around. My go-to's are the sweet potato noodles, kale salad, mushrooms, cucumber jalapeno and coconut sriracha sauces. The steak and BBQ chicken are good proteins too. Though, I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. Sure, it's a bit pricey. Well I am pleased to say that this restaurant checked both boxes. I visited the location on a Saturday evening and there was plenty of parking in the back of the building. Upon entry you are welcomed by bright pink walls and instructions regarding the bowl creation process. As a indecisive person, I always take forever to order food however, the staff was helpful and even recommended a few selections. Service recovery. We have been to the other Fresh Kitchen a few times while visiting Tampa and knew it was good food fast... which we desperately needed today with 2 hangry toddlers. I was excited to see they now offer a family meal which just makes everything easier when feeding people who can't order for themselves. We waited in line for about 15 min with everyone else to find out we had to place our order separately at the register and that it would take 20-30 min for them to prepare. I think the lady taking my order could tell that information almost made me cry with our current situation. She tried her best to get the food out ASAP, she offered us 2 free fountain drink cups, which we declined and then sent someone out to give us 2 free baked goods while we waited. Since the line moves fast, it's best if you know what you want before you jump in line. I was very hungry so I did end up getting a lot of additional items. I got 2 bases (cauliflower mash & sweet potato noodles), 3 proteins (herb grilled steak, baked almond chicken, & teriyaki chicken), 3 roasted veggies (coco basil mushrooms, roasted brussel sprouts, & roasted sweet potatoes), 2 sauces (creamy white ginger & cucumber jalapeño), 2 add-ons (parmesan cheese & roasted almonds) & a healthy dessert (paleo chocolate chip cookies). It ended up being about $18 but I was able to split it out into 3 different meals because it was so much food. It was so good, I returned to the restaurant the same day and ordered catering size portions for my family event. Grant provided excellent customer service and was really helpful. They were closing in 45 minutes for the holiday and it was still super busy but Grant was very kind and accommodating.
