I love Fresh Kitchen. It doesn't matter how long the line is they keep it moving quickly. I stopped in for lunch with my son today since he had early release and it was packed even at 1pm. It really is the perfect lunch, you get to customize your bowl with whatever you want. Kiddo got the tuna poke with extra brown rice and no veggies because he likes to annoy me and not eat his veggies. The creamy ginger sauce goes great with the tuna protein choice. I ordered the usual spinach (chilled), baked chicken and my all time favorite broccoli drenched in parm cheese. I always go with the herb balsamic sauce because I love all things balsamic. I like that they have so many ice tea choices. I usually get the mint hibiscus. They also have cold pressed juices that are pretty good. You could choose the sauces at the end that range from avocado ranch-spicy sauces. It's a walk-though so make sure you have an idea of what you'd like because it's a fast paced line (especially for lunch time). Overall, the service is friendly and they don't mind explaining how everything goes. Very spacious and plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. Clean environment and clean stations. After my second lunch I am really liking this place! Although the parking lot around lunch time is a nightmare they are very fast no matter how long the line is. Today I got the four with cauliflower potato mash, brown rice, broccoli, citrus chicken, and coconut siracha. The broccoli is sooooooooo good! It is my favorite part! Fresh Kitchen is my favorite lunch place when I'm too lazy to cook. I prefer this location over the St Pete one as it has more parking and less traffic. But the Sarasota location would be my #1 choice. The prices here are reasonable compared to similar types of food in the area. The Six Bowl is the perfect portion for lunch. I always order the same thing: coconut ginger rice, sweet potato noodles, mushrooms, green beans/broccoli, tuna poke, & grilled or BBQ chicken. If you like Fresh Kitchen in South Tampa, you will like this one. The best thing about it is that there is much more parking and seating. My lunch buddy and I went today and were able to get parking right away. We did have to wait in a line that snaked out the door but it moves pretty quickly. The quality of the food is the same as the other location I have been to and we were even able to sit there and eat it! When we have gone to the other location we always got it to go because there was never any seating. I typically get a 4 bowl (2 base, 1 veg, 1 protein) and then add another veg to it but it is almost the same price as a 6 bowl (2 base, 2 veg, 2 proteins.) There are countless combinations you can have here, but I usually get rice and the kale slaw for my bases, mushrooms for one of my veggies and then another one depending on what they have. I usually get grilled chicken but today I got the steak. It was really, really good! You can then add extra toppings, get one sauce included and purchase additional sauces if you want. Fresh vegetables, lots of options, and relatively healthy, this is a great spot for a delicious, good-for-you meal. There is a parking lot out back, and although it was full when we arrived, cars were leaving constantly, and it was easy to get a spot. Like many fast food places these days, you walk along a counter, telling the employee what options you want in your bowl, then pay at the end. There was a bit of a line when we got there, but that was good because we could take our time deciding what to get, and scope out what combinations others were getting. The line did move very quickly, and fortunately they were staffed appropriately, with employees bringing fresh food out non-stop. I went with the 2 protein, 2 veggie combo, and next time I would go with the smaller size, because it was a lot to eat. The noodle base was surprisingly excellent, and that, combined with the kale salad base was delicious. I loved the tuna poke protein ($1.50 extra), and thought the tofu was just okay. The last stop was for sauce on the side, and I really enjoyed the cucumber jalapeno. It wasn't too spicy, but it definitely had a kick. Service recovery. We have been to the other Fresh Kitchen a few times while visiting Tampa and knew it was good food fast... which we desperately needed today with 2 hangry toddlers. I was excited to see they now offer a family meal which just makes everything easier when feeding people who can't order for themselves. We waited in line for about 15 min with everyone else to find out we had to place our order separately at the register and that it would take 20-30 min for them to prepare. I think the lady taking my order could tell that information almost made me cry with our current situation. She tried her best to get the food out ASAP, she offered us 2 free fountain drink cups, which we declined and then sent someone out to give us 2 free baked goods while we waited. Since the line moves fast, it's best if you know what you want before you jump in line. I was very hungry so I did end up getting a lot of additional items. I got 2 bases (cauliflower mash & sweet potato noodles), 3 proteins (herb grilled steak, baked almond chicken, & teriyaki chicken), 3 roasted veggies (coco basil mushrooms, roasted brussel sprouts, & roasted sweet potatoes), 2 sauces (creamy white ginger & cucumber jalapeño), 2 add-ons (parmesan cheese & roasted almonds) & a healthy dessert (paleo chocolate chip cookies). It ended up being about $18 but I was able to split it out into 3 different meals because it was so much food. It was so good, I returned to the restaurant the same day and ordered catering size portions for my family event. Grant provided excellent customer service and was really helpful. They were closing in 45 minutes for the holiday and it was still super busy but Grant was very kind and accommodating. I love the options and variety they have for the bases/proteins/sides. I got sweet potato noodles and kale salad as my base which were both really good. It was hard to choose just 2 of the sides- they had so many great options. I also liked that the dressings were on the side so you could ask for a few different ones and try them before you committed to putting it on your whole meal. The price was pretty reasonable. We absolutely love this restaurant! We come here so often because it is close by and order food for take out or dine in. I love the seasonal items and look forward to seeing what new items will be added to the menu. I have Celiac Disease so it's great that they have no food items that contain gluten. I usually get a 6 bowl which is 2 based, 2 veggies, 2 proteins. The price ranges around 13 to 14$ after tax. Steak is a little bit more. The citrus chicken is my go to protein, but I have tried other seasonal items such as the teriyaki chicken and buffalo chicken which were also great. I recently tried the steak which is cooked medium rare. It was very very tender, good flavor and had a perfect warm pink center. The veggie quinoa, sweet potato noodles and spicy rice are the best in ny opinion. The only thing I'm not a fan of is how their veggies are cooked. They used to have string beans which I loved, but now it's mainly the mushrooms and broccoli which tend to be very blackened by the grill. There is parking around the back of the building and seating is pretty open. They also have outdoor seating and the restaurant decor is pretty cute. read more

Just went here to grab lunch today and was really disappointed. Have not been to this location in a few months. I usually go to the soho location and i noticed the portion size is pretty significant. I ordered the six bowl which is 2 bases, 2 veggies, 2 proteins, and one sauce. It was a really small portion for the price. I understand that proteins are expensive but to have a small scoop of kale salad seems kind of sad. I chose kale salad and cauliflower rice as my 2 bases. For the veggies I chose green beans and sweet potatoes. Both were a little undercooked. Proteins I chose were steak and bbq chicken. Customer service did not seem very important here since they just want you to order and leave. Not sure if I will come back to this location again anytime soon. read more

I had such an amazing experience at the W Kennedy Boulevard location. My friend and I came here for lunch to catch up and from the second I walked through the door that the employee held open for me, to being asked which piece of salmon I wanted, to checking out it was a very thoughtful experience. Joe, one of the employees at this location, went above and beyond to make this moment memorable by recommending sauces I should pair with my salmon (that he brought over to my table for me tell try) and truly was interested in my overall experience.
