I am so happy this location opened! I only went to the one in South Tampa once because I could never find parking. This place has a great lot! Even when there's a line out the door (which has been like 5 out of 5 times, I've been there, lol), I can always find a spot. The food is so good! We try to eat healthier for lunch and this spot has all the yummy veggies and proteins! Everything is so flavorful and not bland. I know some people have said it's expensive for the amount of food you get, however, I kind of like it because I feel like its portions controlled and I don't feel like I need a nap after eating a 6 bowl (I might be the only person who thinks this, haha). I went here today and slipped because the floor was wet and tweaked my ankle slightly and I asked the employee if someone could wipe down the floor because I almost fell and the response I got was "I'm sorry but you didn't." By the time I left the water was still on the floor! It's surprising that someone could be so ignorant of the liability risk of leaving puddles on tile AFTER being notified about it! Shocking! The food is great, but I will echo the other reviews about price vs portions, but I only docked one star for that. The biggest problem I have is the food is constantly mixed. I manage to find a piece of something I didn't order every time, whether it is a piece of broccoli, califlower, or the worst of all, a piece of meat in my vegetarian bowl. I really like this place because its healthy, reasonably priced and quickly delivered. They have everything cooked already so they just scoop out the options that you choose. This is a place where you choose your base (noodle, rice, etc) and add your proteins, veggies and sauce. It is really ingenious how they have created a business that is truly health conscious and fast. Everything is labeled on the menu for gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, etc so it makes it very clear how to choose the best fit for you. The only thing I wish they had was a rewards program so that you can get, lets say your 10th bowl for free. I also wish they had shrimp as an option, but the options that they do have which include but not limited to almond chicken and tofu for the protein are very good. UPDATE - I received a very long and thorough email from Fresh Kitchen. Then assured me that the portions in the new containers are the same and that the switch was for environmental reasons. They also explained their processes with regards to their to-go orders and assured that they gathered staff to review their sanitary procedures. I felt their explanations were acceptable and they asked that I try them again on the house. I must say that the experience was great as well as the food. I have a renewed confidence in their establishment and I will be returning. 1st Review: I've ordered take out food from here 3 times. The 1st time was the best experience. It was hot, ready on time and properly package. 2nd visit was bad. The square clear container was changed to a small round container which held far less food. Food container was sitting out on the to go table open to the public where people could walk up and literally touch my plate of food. The amount of sauce given is minimal. I paid for a 2nd sauce which was also half full. Both sauces were placed inside the food container sitting on top of the food! I upgraded for a steak protein and it was cooked almost rare. The blood was leaking all over the container. 3rd visit, again small round container with less food (yet the prices are still the same) and it wasn't ready. A nice young lady walked up and ask for my name to check on the order. She came back and said it's being packaged and will be ready in a minute. She then proceeded to take her gloved hands and reach for some cleaning products to go outside and clean tables. After about 3 or 4 minutes of cleaning those table she pulled the door back open and put the cleaning products on a shelf. Without washing her hands or changing her gloves she proceeded to hand me the bag of food which had been sitting on the counter in the back. During these covid-19 times this is unacceptable. The young lady was very nice so I just took my food and left. I'm very disappointed in these last 2 visits, especially because there are only a few places that offer healthy foods. Parking in the front is very limited but if you circle around the back there is a bigger parking area. I usually get a bowl (four) and take leftovers home for lunch the next day. As for the base I've had the sweet potato noodles (my personal go to pick), sweet potato mash (previously cauliflower potato mash), and vegatable quinoa all of which I like. For my veggies I like the roasted brussel sprouts and the parmesan broccoli or the seasonal veggie, if I get protein then I get the tuna poké or the baked almond chicken. I don't feel like you can really go wrong with any of them. As for sauces I don't have a go to but the last two I've had were the creamy white ginger and the cucumber jalapeño. Don't forget your add on avocado! If you're looking for a little dessert they have Paleo chocolate chip cookies (I don't mind these but if you're a die hard choc chip cookie lover it might not be for you) and zucchini brownies (I actually really liked these but it's not your typical brownie), you'll just have to try them to see if you like them. There is both indoor or outdoor seating and the teas they offer are delicious. I've also gotten the immunity shot and love the kick of ginger in it. The service is very quick and every employee is nice and efficient. Great place for a quick bite, average noise level and pretty well lit. Definitely recommend it! read more

The new location is in a perfect location right off of Kennedy Blvd, with a huge parking lot in the back! I stopped in for lunch on a Saturday around 12:30. It was busy, but I got in and out fairly quickly. The staff was very friendly and efficient with their time and mine. I got the Sweet potato noodles, veggie quinoa, tofu, sriracha coconut cauliflower, and the balsamic vinegar dressing. Yumm! I always enjoy the food here. They have so many Vegan/vegetarian options. Fresh Kitchen is a great option for those looking to eat healthy in a casual atmosphere. You can make your own custom healthy bowl by picking 1 protein, 1 veggie, 2 bases, and 1 sauce. You have to stand in a line and pick your ingredients for your bowl, then get rung up at a register, and then can pick a table to sit and eat your custom selected healthy bowl. While the concept is similar to Chipotle, there are many more unique options as ingredients and hence its a couple bucks more too at $9 per bowl vs $6.50 for Chipotle. The decor at Fresh Kitchen is very artsy and cartoon-like with tons of health conscious things written on the wall that explain why they're so healthy for you. There's a funny sign that says "feed me kale and tell me I'm pretty" and the tables have a funky graphic of green Grass. I have to say, Fresh Kitchen is very popular with the ladies. It's about 98 percent ladies in here. I felt slightly out of place not wearing yoga pants hahaha. I've never had a bad combination of ingredients here. My favorite bases are the sweet potato noodles, sweet potato mash, and vegetable quinoa. My favorite veggies are the roasted Brussel sprouts, roasted mushrooms, Parmesan broccoli, and the sesame green beans. My favorite proteins include the chia seed tuna poke, herb grilled steak, and the Thai chicken. My favorite sauces include the coconut sriracha, cucumber jalapeño, and creamy white ginger. Although the line may look long sometimes when you first enter, I've never waited over 5 minutes in line. There's only 3 parking spots facing Kennedy in the front of Fresh Kitchen but there's tons of extra parking behind Fresh Kitchen in the back.
