Managed to swing by the Kennedy location for a late lunch. This location seems to be about the same size and even at 2 PM there was a steady stream of people in for a meal. I've heard so many great things about this place and after finally giving it a try, I'm here to confirm, the hype is real. Healthy, refreshing, and home made are the best ways I can describe Fresh Kitchen. Their ordering concept reminds me of chipotle in the sense that you create your own bowl via an assembly line starting with your 'base', veggies and meat. But expect all good options to be healthy such as quinoa, sweet potato, chick peas, etc. you also get the choice of a topping sauce. There are a couple up charges so be mindful of that, especially if this is your first time. The employees were very patient and helped explain the menu and their ordering style while also suggesting some of their recommendations. There is additional parking in the back of the restaurant which is convenient and easy to access. All in all, clean, fast service, a bit pricey but the food was worth the price. 10/10 will be back read more

My go to order is the 6 bowl with cauliflower mash, sweet potato noodles, basil mushrooms, sesame green beans, pesto tomatoes, herb grilled steak, and almond baked chicken. No customer should be disrespected-- unfortunately that's what happened today by the staff at this location. Ive written good reviews on FK and other places but I think highlighting what's wrong with a place is even more critical. I have been to FK before and have enjoyed the food but today I didn't enjoy the experience. I am very un-happy with the service at this location. Today the cashier at the register very quickly told me "stripe side up" when I got to the front however I didn't hear her at first. When I gave her my card, she snatched it out of my hand and just put it in the machine-- but she didn't swipe it-- she made me and waited for me to do that. What's up with the attitude? The customer service today was insulting. To snatch a card out of someone's hand who simply didn't hear/react as fast as you wanted is insane. Surprisingly, after telling her that I was sorry I didn't hear her- and she didn't acknowledge it. I did nothing or said nothing to provoke her(I was actually in a great mood prior to her doing this). No one should have to deal with being disrespected when trying to simply pay for their meal. I have been to the other FK location and they were much more kind. It's not about the food, it's not about the money-- it's about respecting others. Sure, this is an individual but they wear the logo on their shirt like the rest of them and represent the business. I go to Fresh Kitchen a lot and thought it was about time I gave them their props! Like a fellow reviewer I too believe they deserve nothing less than 5 stars. If you disagree, you need to figure out who hurt you in life. Yes, it's busy almost ALL the time, but they literally have you eating in about 10 minutes even when the line is out the door. Eating delicious, healthy food! The food! It's an amazing menu of bases, veggies, proteins, add-ons and sauces you can choose from to create a bowl of yummy goodness. This is another freshly assembled meal franchise, and I love it! They have tons of choices, and everything tastes pretty good. I got the medium bowl, and it was slightly more than what I wanted for one meal, but not enough for two. Service is quick and easy -- not unlike Chipotle. The servers are also friendly. The place is clean and bright, if you choose to eat in. I chose to do take out. They put out large paper bags, but if you need a smaller bag, just ask, they keep them behind the counter. read more

I am so happy this location opened! I only went to the one in South Tampa once because I could never find parking. This place has a great lot! Even when there's a line out the door (which has been like 5 out of 5 times, I've been there, lol), I can always find a spot. The food is so good! We try to eat healthier for lunch and this spot has all the yummy veggies and proteins! Everything is so flavorful and not bland. I know some people have said it's expensive for the amount of food you get, however, I kind of like it because I feel like its portions controlled and I don't feel like I need a nap after eating a 6 bowl (I might be the only person who thinks this, haha). FK on Kennedy has exceptional customer service and really hard workers who are super patient. I always have a good experience at this location, even at their busiest hours. I have been coming here so long and spending so much as well as our families and friends have. Husbands in the military, they all come here for lunch. None of us will be anymore. The portion sizes we received were actually ridiculous and so tiny. Paid extra for the sides as well. Almost $30 and couldn't even get a full meal. Guy behind me ordered a kids bowl and his was bigger than my 4 bowl. We aren't coming here at all anymore and we'll advise everyone else all of the other options where you can actually get a fulfilling portion. Mind you we are regular sized people not looking for huge portions just something normal. What a joke read more

I went here today and slipped because the floor was wet and tweaked my ankle slightly and I asked the employee if someone could wipe down the floor because I almost fell and the response I got was "I'm sorry but you didn't." By the time I left the water was still on the floor! It's surprising that someone could be so ignorant of the liability risk of leaving puddles on tile AFTER being notified about it! Shocking! The food is great, but I will echo the other reviews about price vs portions, but I only docked one star for that. The biggest problem I have is the food is constantly mixed. I manage to find a piece of something I didn't order every time, whether it is a piece of broccoli, califlower, or the worst of all, a piece of meat in my vegetarian bowl. Last minute decision to stop here before traveling back to South Florida. The place was crowded at 1 PM but I hung out in line anyway. I am glad I did, the food was great! I really like this place because its healthy, reasonably priced and quickly delivered. They have everything cooked already so they just scoop out the options that you choose. This is a place where you choose your base (noodle, rice, etc) and add your proteins, veggies and sauce. It is really ingenious how they have created a business that is truly health conscious and fast. Everything is labeled on the menu for gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, etc so it makes it very clear how to choose the best fit for you. The only thing I wish they had was a rewards program so that you can get, lets say your 10th bowl for free. I also wish they had shrimp as an option, but the options that they do have which include but not limited to almond chicken and tofu for the protein are very good. Don't be scared about the line because it moves very quickly, even though it is quite busy most of the time. Definitely a good staple for the area. read more

I have to say the food is awesome. You could tell it was fresh with every bite. The only negative thing I will say is the parking lot up front only provides few spaces and they have a large parking lot in back which was still completely full. After making a few passes around I was lucky enough to find a spot. The portions to price ratio is perfect. I had half of it for lunch and the rest of it as leftovers.
