Fresh Kitchen is one of my Tampa staples. I like this location a lot, it's very convenient and easy to get to no matter where you're located. They have tons of parking in the back. The staff is friendly and service is quick. Their food also travels well so it's an ideal spot to pick up dinner after work or the gym. I love all the heathy options they have. Fresh Kitchen gets me excited about kale! That's not an easy task. The sweet potato noodles are bomb and always included in my bowl. Cauliflower potato mash is epic. The chickpea veggie option is my new fav, so much flavor! The BBQ chicken is amazing, juts keep in mind it does have added sugar which is worth it in my option. Get the creamy white ginger sauce! This is the second time this year that I've met my friend D at FK for lunch. If this restaurant were closer, I'd be frequenting it a lot more. The food is healthy and the portions are generous. The staff and manager are friendly, efficient, and want to make sure everything is good - or they'll fix it. When you get in the door - and it can be a wait since this is a popular place - you order your bowl with 3 or more proteins, base and veggies. As your bowl is passed down the line, first with a base, you add veggies, protein, sauces, and add ins. I'm simple - spinach base, with broccoli and grilled chicken. I like the coconut sauce. Both of us enjoyed our bowls, sitting and talking outside on the patio. You can sit inside too. CDC guidelines are followed during the pandemic: social distancing and masks are required. Not only is this place truly tasty, it is consistent and you get a lot of good healthy food for your money. That is a big deal in an economy where even McDonald's is expensive. Parking can be dicey during the peak of the lunch and dinner hours, but the staff here move quickly and I have never spent more than 10 minutes in line. Fresh, yes! Fresh Kitchen has always been a nice spot to get healthy food after the gym or if I'm on the go. The service is fast and friendly. The dining option is seat yourself with covered outdoor seating. The parking lot is always packed and the line can sometimes be out the door. I have usually been able to find a seat. The food is tasty, but the price point can be a little high. But overall solid experience with a great variety of choices, especially for vegetarians. I would recommend and return next time I'm in Tampa. As good as it gets! This place is absolutely delicious. Each time I thumb through Yelp or UberEats this place always pops up. Each time I choose something else. Well yesterday, I happened to be driving down the street and saw this it again and decided that I had to give it a try. Once I parked which was relatively easy to find (lots of parking in the back :P) I walked up to the establishment only to meet a line out of the door. Contemplating again maybe I'd give it a try another day. Glad I decided to stay it was awesome. ( Side-note: the line moved rather quickly). There service was amazing. I loved the personalized experience. Especially as a FK virgin I appreciated not feeling rushed trying to figure out what it was that I wanted to try out. I first visited a different location than this one, closer to my cousin's home since she recommended it. I was hooked instantly! This particular location is closer to where I live but it's honestly a problem lol. I love the simplicity of their menu and ordering process. The food itself is absolutely delicious! I come here so often when I want something quick delicious and healthy. At this point i have tried most combinations of bases, proteins and veggies but my favorite is still the cauliflower mash and the bbq chicken. This location has very limited parking directly in front but also a side parking lot is available. Staff is always so kind, cheery and helpful. I would like to add that I truly appreciate the ambiance and the interior design in all locations. They differ in small ways but I love and appreciate that about this business. Lastly, every time I've been here I get the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies, they are delicious! I do however, have yet to try the chocolate zucchini brownie. Not quite sure how we discovered this place. A health food place, order style like chipotle where you can build your own bowls, also was very similar to Sweet Green in Boston. I opted to build my own bowl with a base of quinoa, broccoli, chicken, and dressing. We took our bowls to go and ate them at the beach. It was very tasty and flavorful. I called our order in ahead of time and was so glad that I arrived at 11:20 to pick everything up. At that time, there was plenty of parking and virtually no one waiting in line for pickup. NOTE: there is a great parking lot BEHIND Fresh Kitchen that is much easier to find a spot than around front. I say that I was glad I arrived when I did because when I left just after 11:30, the line was already almost out the door and folks were lining up to take my space as soon as I pulled out. As for the food, it was simply awesome, and I mean that figuratively and literally. Pick your base. Pick your veggies. Pick your protein. So happy a coworker introduced me to this place for lunch! The healthier options are great; flavorful with a variety of choices to fit dietary restrictions with ease and still bring together incredible customized combinations. Essentially this place is like if Whole Foods and Chipotle had a love child & then Whole Foods go custody. You can pick your base for your bowl with both hot options like cauliflower mash or brown rice as well as cold options like kale slaw and sweet potato noodles. Then load it up with veggies like sesame green beans, maple/honey glazed sweet potatoes, garlic mushrooms, and more, as well as proteins including steak, tofu, and other options, before topping it with salsa, guac, sauces, and other unique options. Prices are reasonable when you factor in the healthy factor. I got the Strawberry Chiwee juice with strawberries, apples, pineapples, chia seeds, & more in it along with a kid's bowl with 2 extra veggies & even with tip it was just a $20 lunch. Not something I'll do every day, but definitely worth it for the variety and flavors combined with the healthier option compared to a lot of other $20 lunches. Also don't let the location fool you from Kennedy; there's quite a bit of parking behind the building & the line moves quickly. There's indoor and outdoor seating, but it does seem a lot of people do online orders or take-out here rather than sit and stay to eat. I happened onto a gift card so I brought my wife out for dinner. We are both big fans now. I got the 6-component bowl, which comes with two bases, two veggies, and two proteins with a sauce. I had sweet potato noodles and kale Caesar salad as my bases. The noodles were excellent but the salad added a little too much roughage and made some bites hard to chew. I cannot complain about my choice of broccoli and mushroom for veggies, both were great. Out of my protein choices, I'd give the edge to bbq chicken over citrus chicken, though I enjoyed both. I went with sriracha Mayo for my sauce, and added on avocado for an extra $2. I had some reservations about how everything would fit together (all the individual ingredients are flavored ie. citrus, sesame, caprese etc). When the dust settled, my fears ended up unfounded; the ingredients are all high-quality and fresh, and the bowl was a savory, creamy hit. Neither of us were able to finish our bowls, though it was hard to stop eating them. Price was fair at about $30 before tip. Overall I would say Fresh Kitchen rivals Chipotle in the realm of fast-casual dining and I will certainly think of them next time I want something quick and delicious. read more

The flavor was my favorite of all my bowl ingredients. I would probably get that protein every time. There are a lot of other options to choose from as well as sauces to top off with that I'm sure one can't go wrong with. The line out the door is a testimonial to the food quality. Why 5 stars? Because Fresh Kitchen remains my north star. --- --- --- I've been an inordinately large fan of Fresh Kitchen since my very first visit years ago. I often end up at the original location on South Howard and occasionally visit the St. Pete shop, but until now, I'd never been to the one on Kennedy. With my visit being at peak lunch time, I figured it would be easier to find parking at this location. As I was pulling in, I noticed the sign out front that said, "big parking lot in back." As fate would have it, despite the proclaimed "big parking lot," there wasn't a single spot open. I ended up driving around a couple of times before one opened up, and after some borderline un-safe maneuvering, I squeezed into the spot. But once inside, my food delivered the same unmatched, tastes-so-good-it's-hard-to-believe-it's-actually-that-healthy-but-I-don't-even-care-if-it-actually-is goodness that I've come to know and love from FK. I seriously don't know how they do it, but I truly am the biggest fan. Bonus: this location, unlike the original, has ice and soda! Many options for meat and veggie eaters alike. It's flavorful which is a must to get 4 stars from me. They do measure healthy portion sizes so if you are a big eater, you may not find it filling. It is a healthy option for a meal. The menu does change from time to time. Service is quick and efficient every single time. My favorite combo is cold sweet potato noodles, mushrooms and BBQ chicken with coconut siracha sauce.
