When I purchased a new car, I immediately came back for a full front PPF and ceramic coating package. I was quoted a 2-day turnaround and promised regular updates, but communication quickly became inconsistent. After multiple delays, excuses, and missed deadlines, responsibility for my vehicle was passed between employees without clear communication. I was eventually offered a complimentary full-body PPF for the inconvenience, but despite agreeing on several deadlines, the work was never completed. One employee completely stopped responding to my calls and texts, and I later found out he was no longer with the company without my knowledge. At this point, my vehicle still does not have the promised PPF installed, the interior ceramic coating was never done, and the exterior ceramic coating wasn't even completed properly. The lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism throughout this process has completely destroyed my trust in the company. I'm honestly at a loss for words. UPDATE: Danny eventually got back in contact with me and finally completed the PPF work on my vehicle. Unfortunately, the quality of the install was terrible. I brought the car to multiple reputable PPF shops for inspection and received the same feedback from every single one. Several shops told me it was one of the worst PPF installations they had seen. They also pointed out that my clear coat is now lifting, and warned me that removing the PPF from my bumper will very likely peel the paint completely off, meaning I may now need to have my bumper repainted. After everything I went through with the delays, broken promises, lack of communication, and being completely ghosted, I'm now potentially dealing with paint damage caused by the improper installation itself. I have completely lost trust in this company and am extremely disappointed with how this entire situation was handled. I asked for a refund and he is purposely ignoring my messages, I don't think he realizes that I can see when he reads my messages. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR TO THIS COMPANY PLEASE!!!

Unfortunately, the product they are using is not professional grade. Within a relatively short period, I noticed significant issues -- hard water stains, swirl marks, and loss of the slick, protective finish. I followed proper wash techniques, so these problems weren't from neglect. When I returned to share my concerns, they offered a goodwill reapplication at no charge, which I appreciated. After learning the product being used I opted to get a paint decontamination and stripping of the old product to prep the vehicle for professional grade ceramic elsewhere. They agreed to decontaminate the vehicle to remove swirls and water marks throughout the vehicle, wash, and wax it. Upon pickup, the vehicle was spotless but the swirl and water marks remain. While I respect that they stood by their work and offered a redo, my recommendation to others would be to confirm exactly which ceramic coating is being applied and research its performance before committing. This shop is great for detailing but not ceramic coat or paint decontamination.

Where things started to slip was on the pickup side. I was told the car was ready, but still ended up waiting about 30-40 minutes before actually getting it. At checkout, I was also surprised to see a tip screen with suggested amounts that felt pretty high given the service. I ended up leaving a small tip, but the experience itself didn't really match that level of expectation. I also would have appreciated a quick walkthrough of the work that was done--especially at that price point--but it was more of a quick handoff of the keys. I came back for the 10-day follow-up and made a point to ask about timing ahead of time. I was told it would take about an hour. I arrived early, but after an hour the car hadn't been touched yet, and there wasn't any update unless I asked. That part was frustrating. So, they ended up rushing my 10-day follow-up inspection. Gave the car a quick rinse and handed me the keys. What was the point of driving down from Carlsbad??? Over 3 hours wasted. For comparison, I had a great experience at their Kearny Mesa location previously, so I know what they're capable of. This location is stretched thin, which seemed to impact communication and overall service. I was not the only customer in the lobby feeling this way. Given the type of clientele they're working with and the pricing, I was expecting a bit more consistency and attention to detail. Their follow-up consisted of more sales pitches of coupons for services I already had done. Would have been nice to have the discounts PRIOR to the work! I planned on using the wash program and mentioned to Jasmine my poor service experience. Think there was follow-up? Nada. So, thumbs "kind of" up for Ceramic Pro but thumbs down for this location. Overall, I think the company itself does good work, and have used the Kearny Mesa location in the past several times with excellent success!! I would not choose this location again.

Enter Dr. Detail, and wow, what a difference. Booking was super easy, and they showed up exactly on time, literally 7:30 AM on the dot, just like they said. I even got updates so I knew exactly when to expect them. Even though I originally just needed the stucco removed, they went above and beyond and gave my whole car the full treatment, inside, outside, even under the hood. My engine was so clean you could eat off of it (not that I recommend it, but you could). My car's parked outside 24/7 and has some wear from sun and weather, but somehow Dr. Detail still managed to make it shine like new. I was seriously impressed. He was also super friendly, figured out a smart way to park on the street since we don't have a driveway, and was really considerate with the neighbors, he even made sure not to block trash cans. That level of care and attention really stood out. Overall, just a great experience, efficient, thoughtful, and really high quality work. Highly recommend!

He has no regard for others in the freeway and will cause an accident soon hurting someone or himself. If his ethics and ways of being are being revealed on how he drives and how he treats others in the freeway, makes me wonder if he is as good with his work ethics. My bf arranged a full detail for my car. Awesome Mobile came to my office and did the entire detail while I worked. They shampooed my cloth covered seats and scrubbed the weather-proof mats. They got every nook and cranny including the embedded dog fluff in the carpeted panels and in the corners of the windshield and rear windows. They buffed out small scratches all over my car and clayed the exterior as well. My mouth legitimately fell open when I saw my car...it looked brand new when they were done! I cannot wait to be able to afford their service again because my car could use a great service. They are pricey but it is so worth the money!

I would 10/10 recommend them--they pay attention to every detail and treat their customers like family, following up to ask how everything turned out after the job was complete. I'm not one to write long reviews, but Fresh Layer Mobile Detailing deserves every word. Let me start by saying: I'm a dog groomer in Ocean Beach, and my Honda CR-V was a DISASTER. Think wet dog hair plastered to every surface, muddy paw prints on the ceiling (yes, ceiling), and a mysterious smell my friends called 'Eau de Wet Labradoodle.' I was embarrassed to drive clients around, and my detailing attempts were Band-Aids on a bullet wound. Then I found Fresh Layer - and wow. I called Alex on a Thursday, half-joking, 'Can you even fix this?' He didn't flinch: 'Joule's handled worse.' By Saturday morning, Joule pulled up to my house with a van full of gear. She assessed the chaos, laughed, and said, 'Give me 3 hours.' I watched her work like a scientist: steam-cleaning the upholstery, using some enzyme magic on the smells, and even climbing into the trunk to vacuum fur out of the spare tire compartment. Fresh Layer detailed my car, it sold 7 days later. I had been trying to sell my car for 3 months. It sat and sat on cargurus, craigslist, and offerup. I decided to refresh the ad and have some new photos taken of it and had Fresh Layer recommended by a friend. Their service was seamless. They asked me what I was looking for and recommended an honest and reasonable service. The detailer was efficient, he came to my house with all of his products and TOOK HIS TIME. They really lived up to the definition of detail. I mean cotton swab the vent flaps kind of detail! Once the detail was completed, I took the car to Coronado and had new photos taken. 3 people test drove the car and complemented how clean the interior was for a 6 year old commuter and how well the paint was shining even though it was stored outdoors. The new owner even asked for their contact info! haha Once re-posted with the new photos and glistening clear coat, I was able to sell the car to a new client after 7 days of a live post. Without a doubt it was due to the quality of the cleaning Fresh Layer provided. I am so happy with their service and plan to go with them again for my new car. Never heard of Fresh Layer, I think they are a new company. I found them online and decided to try them and I was NOT disappointed. I am very very picky with anyone washing my car. I never go to a car wash because I have had a lot of bad experiences with some type of damage to my vehicle. I typically wash the car myself but life happens and I hadn't washed my car in a few months so I decided to give these guys a shot. They came to my home and I peaked thru the window from time to time and the guy Adam washing my car was very knowledgeable on detailing. I am glad I found a company I can trust to wash my car when I don't have the time. When you work hard to have a nice car you want to make sure you take care of it and Fresh Layer is the only place I will use to detail my car. Thanks again guys!! read more

Miguel is the best! I have been searching around to see who could detail the inside of my car the way I would if I had time. I was kind of nervous until I seen this guy pull out a tent! Yes a tent to cover the car (I knew he would be taking his time and not rushing) he was so patient when I was explaining all the little details I was concerned about . (Especially the dirt under the seats and in-between the metal rails ) vacuum was perfect and even the lines were impressive. My seats were dry from heat (just bought a used car) and he was able to make my leather seats look like new! He even cleaned the head liner like you wouldn't believe. I booked an interior detailing with Fresh Layer Detailing after a whole drink tray of coworker's coffee orders spilled all over my fabric seats days before a big road trip. A detailer cleaned my car at my house while I was at work, and by the time I got home my car was absolutely spotless. I can't express how relieved I was knowing the mess was gone! Not to mention he did the over 3 hour job in my uncovered driveway while it was raining. But he was very understanding of my situation and did an amazing job regardless. Worth every penny spent! I am super picky when it comes to detailing my car. I don't trust anyone usually, however, when a close friend of mine recommended me "Fresh Layer" mobile detailing I thought you know what, why not?! So they came to my house around 12:30pm left them my keys and I went to run a bunch of errands. When I came back I honestly couldn't recognize my car, I thought there was a brand new vehicle in my drive way. They did such an amazing job, buffed out all the scratches and completely detailed the vehicle inside out. I was soooo surprised because of the price I paid, I got a lot more than I expected. I was skeptical at first trying a new detail place. However, because my previous detail guy raised prices up-the-roof I was willing to give "Fresh Layer" a chance. You guys know "Murphys Law" well this place was absolutely the opposite of that!! Everything...and I mean everything went RIGHT. From calling them to scheduling an appointment to getting my car detailed, I was completely shocked because I have never worked with them prior. Fresh Layer Auto Detailing did a great job with my car! They come to your home which is AMAZING and so convenient. There were able to do their work while I worked from home and when they were done, I had a perfectly clean car! I think my car might have been cleaner than when I drove it off the lot, if that is possible. Not a grain of sand or oil smudge in sight. Very happy with the service. The owner went over-time and worked into the evening to make sure all the spots were removed and the car was beautifully washed and sealed. Fresh Layer the best mobile detailing in San Diego. I would get their services again. Ask Alex if you have any question i did spoke with him over the phone probably about 3 times before we booked service. After Complete detail package with one stage polish my car looks like new. I decided to have my Volkswagen Jetta cleaned by professionals. So I called Fresh Layer and Alex helped me out in choosing a exterior package that suits my needs. The next morning, a crew of two friendly guys showed up and explained the process. After approximately two hours, I could not recognize my car. It never looked so clean and white. I had my SUV detailed by them and it was the best detail job I have ever had! The interior of my car was quite dirty and I was unable to get it cleaned on my own, that is why you leave it up to the professionals! The service and work done for my car was outstanding. I cannot be happier. I have a 2015 Toyota Camry. I could never get the smell out of my car. I had the interior detailed and had some scratches buffet our from my passenger door. The car came back as it was just bought of the dealer. I give 5 stars for the great job they've made. I have never seen my car so clean, it looked brand new and super shiny. He cut me and other vehicles off getting the 805 with his little while car. He realized several of us were taking photos of him since he has his business information on his vehicle and phone number. He has no regard for others in the freeway and will cause an accident soon hurting someone or himself. If his ethics and ways of being are being revealed on how he drives and how he treats others in the freeway, makes me wonder if he is as good with his work ethics. Please leave early to wherever you are going and have regard for others in the freeway.

So I am a dog mom with a 125 lb fluffy butt, 10-year-old, American Akita and a 60 lb, 8-year-old Black Lab mix and they believe in leaving their mark on every inch of my car. My bf arranged a full detail for my car. Awesome Mobile came to my office and did the entire detail while I worked. They shampooed my cloth covered seats and scrubbed the weather-proof mats. They got every nook and cranny including the embedded dog fluff in the carpeted panels and in the corners of the windshield and rear windows. They buffed out small scratches all over my car and clayed the exterior as well. My mouth legitimately fell open when I saw my car...it looked brand new when they were done! I cannot wait to be able to afford their service again because my car could use a great service. They are pricey but it is so worth the money!

They came within 24 hours of my call and worked on my car for 3 hours, extracting every inch of my carpets. They went through the process a total of 9 times until every single juice fiber was gone from my floor, then they chlorine-bombed my car for 16+ hours to fully eliminate the smell which I didn't even know was thing you could do. I would 10/10 recommend them--they pay attention to every detail and treat their customers like family, following up to ask how everything turned out after the job was complete. You pay for what you get in the car detailing business, and these guys are the absolute best.

I have a 2022 Toyota CHR that hadn't been waxed since I bought it last summer, aside from a car wash. The couple that showed up to clean my car was fast and very thorough. I am very happy with the work that they did. My car looks terrific, and I noticed people looking at it when I drove by! The wax details is very, very nice! I received a recommendation and contacted Genesis Detailing to have the coating applied. A day later, I was contacted by the owner Nick. He advised me that there were severe hard water spots on the entire passenger side and hood of the vehicle. Nick recommended I take it back to the dealer to have the issue resolved. I returned the car to the dealer who kept it for a week. When I got the car back, the water spotting was removed and I took it back to Genesis Detailing to have the coating applied. Had they not been so detailed in the process and recognized the issue, the spotting could've been a problem after the process was completed. The team at Genesis Detailing were professional, always kept me informed in the process, and my wife and I couldn't be more happier with the results.
