I was very surprised how much I liked my burrito here. Hub and I got a coupon from Plaza for free burritos and chips and salsa with a drink. We stepped up and both the young girls working there were super friendly. She heated out tortillas on a grill and then we went through an assembly line of ingredients to add. We got Carne asada, pinto beans...hub added some rice. We asked for the most hot salsa and it did NOT disappoint! She also got us two salsas for our chips..hub chose green and more of the hot red. Let me tell you...those sauces are AMAZING. Burrito was good, but sauce brought it to next level. Chips...not a fan...not sure why, just thought they tasted a little stale...could have been an off day. Did not think to take a picture of the burrito until I was well into it....will be back. Stopped by for a quick bite. Fresh Mexican Grill is located in the Plaza Hotel food court. The line was pretty long so I waited about 10 minutes before ordering. Once I got to the front, the worker was so nice and funny. You can tell she enjoys her job. She was heating our tortillas. We ordered the combo plate with 2 Carne Asada Tacos, rice and beans. The Tacos were delicious. I also had the chips and queso. I really enjoyed my meal, especially the chips. Overall, great spot for a quick bite. read more

Came over they said that they wouldn't be open for another fifteen minutes because they had a problem in the kitchen. Yes burritos wer large but the cold ingredients brought down the temperature of the from the cold ingredients. You can't start out with Luke, warm food and put cold stuff on top of it.Because then the temperature drops below lukewarm and a hundred and forty three degrees is not lukewarm. The attitude of the staff was even worse. One employee kept snapping at the other employee, causing her to snap Beck. And this went on and on and finally. Checked out of the plaza and wanted a quick lunch before heading out. Chose this place in the food court. No line. We ordered chips and queso and then we both got quesadillas. I got a large fountain drink and the Mrs didn't get a drink. The bill was 43 dollars. Not too bad. Food is grilled fresh and prepped kinda like a subway. It's not bad! I would definitely not go here next time. It's a small place that's in a food court at the Plaza hotel. I was kna big rush so I needed to grab and go something nearby while staying at Circa. So I go there and it's like way after the lunch rush. It was like 330pm. There was one lady who was being helped and the one guy before me. It was SO slow... It was thoroughly annoyed. I was tempted to leave the line multiple times, but ended up staying the course. There was one guy doing everything from taking orders, to making the items, to taking payment. Everything. Even though there were at least 2 others in the back, but they couldn't care less. The guy was working in extra slow motion to add fuel to the fire. The guy barely spoke English and didn't wrap the burrito well. It fell apart on me. The flavor was actually fine, but the service was just too much to overcome for me. And in this whole tourist area, the prices were super high, which wasn't a surprise. But hey... I'm not good with waiting for 20 mins for a fast food average burrito. Skip this hovel. Mostly caters to unsuspecting plaza hotel guests ( such as me) that try it once, and never return. The photos the restaurant posted on yelp does not resemble the food you receive. I don't think they clean the grill, it was just as dirty as the photo that was posted 3 years ago! Ordered the carne asada quesadilla. The small amount of beef was laden with gristle/tendons. I could not chew most of it and had to spit it out ( see gnarly, chewed meat photo) . Some of it and the old tortilla lodged in my throat. I didn't want to choke to death, so I threw the rest in the trash. Meat, cheese and the salsa were heavily salted. Tortilla dry and tough. $21.00 for a Quesadilla (1/3 of which was thrown in the trash) & a soda. A waste of money and time. Such a simple item to make and it was awful. Ambiance? Similar to a run down 3rd rate mall food court. Mostly devoid of customers except for the subway. read more

I really was very impressed with the Al pastor burrito. The meat was not hot and had a semi sweet taste to it, big turn off. The burrito had a really weird taste that I cannot describe, previous reviews said a dirty taste which is close. The sad thing is there are only 2 people working so it took a pretty long time to get my food. There were 2 people in front of me and they did not order much, still it took about 15 minutes. Hidden away in a corner of the Plaza Hotel/casino food court is the Fresh Mexican Grill. I visited it twice so far while staying at the Plaza. The food is excellent, fresh, and healthy! I tried the tacos grandes (comes with rice and beans) and chose the carnitas meat. There's lots of sides to put on the tacos, brown or Mexican style rice, choice of corn or wheat tortillas, black or pinto refried beans, and three kinds of hot sauce as well as Mexican salsa. Each customer receives individual attention while they put together their order. There's lot of options, so it may seem slow while one is waiting for their turn, but it's so nice to get one's order exactly as desired. The staff is friendly and helpful. Do not pass this place up! This little gem is inside Plaza Hotel Downtown and it was amazing! I visited twice during my trip and each time the ingredients were fresh and the employees were absolutely amazing. It is a "Chipotle" style restaurant where you can get whatever ingredients you want and customize your bowl/burrito/nachos/whatever. I had the nachos and got the cheese sauce on the side (kind of spicy) so my kids would eat it and it was really good! I added the cheese sauce to my bowl and man it was just so tasty. Just ordered Loaded Nachos and was disappointed. The meat choices do not include ground beef. So we went with chicken. The meat itself is average. The biggest issue was a lack of queso. Still have a third of our nachos left and our of queso. Thought about asking for a side of it, and now there is a line and I'd probably get charged extra for it. After paying $20 for nachos, with tip, I didn't want to play anything extra for something that should have been included in the meal. read more

Good food for a decent (but slightly high) price. It is located in the food court area of the Plaza Hotel. The main problem I have is the cook back in the kitchen standing around eating a burrito with (obviously) no mask. The other very tatooed-up cook was the one who made the burrito for him and as I watched him hover over the food bar, I could clearly see his lower lip (therefore he was breathing over the food). Tacos tasted dirty!! This place has all the internal ingredients of the tacos ready to just assemble your tacos kind of like a subway. The HUGE problem I have with this place is how dirty the griddle they use to warm up the tortillas is. That is why they taste dirty. It's a shame because if they would only clean the griddle they use to warm up the tortillas they would actually be some decent tacos. Stopped by the plaza because of heard of this new taco place. I got a burrito which was massive by the way. My friends got tacos and the healthy dude with us got a bowl. I'm not a fan of micheladas but when the girl in the front was making it. It looks really good so I decided to try one. Wow round 2 on michiladas. really good authentic flavor on the meats and really good condiments to go along with everything on the menu. Oh yeah pretty good menudo also. They say it's available all week. Great for the hang overs. Keep it up guys. Will be back tomorrow for more food. read more

First off I will defend the single worker there to attend to all the orders. That said I was the only person there ordering when I arrived. I ordered quite a bit of stuff for three people and the young lady seemed pissed that she had to put together the order. That is your job, if you have a problem attending to food orders you probably should leave that position. The food was subpar. The street taco meat was cold. The bottled drinks I ordered were not put in the bags, I suppose that is partially my fault for not checking everything before I left. The food preparer also didn't wear her mask which as far as I know is still required for all folks entering or working in the casino. Overall just a very unsatisfactory experience. I have gotten things before here and the service was much better as well as the food being a little more on point. read more
