But it's there, overlooking the lake, waiting to offer you delicious sushi. The staff are always very nice, helpful, and patient as you look through the menu. With a huge selection of fish and veggie combinations, the menu has something for everyone. (I'm sorry I don't have a menu picture for reference!) The ingredients are always fresh and the rolls are made in house, to order. I have never had a bad roll - or a bad meal. While the seating can be cramped with a full house, the views make up for that easily. If you manage to get a seat in the back, you can look out over the lake (which absolutely has gators because I saw one on my last afternoon visit.) There are booths, tables, and a large sushi bar - again, something for everyone! I highly recommend checking this spot out if you are a sushi lover like me. (But also, don't, because I still want to be able to get a seat there when I go!)

We went to UCF in an era where over our time we had 3 different restaurants that did Thai AND sushi…read moreand did them pretty well (Bangkok, Origami, and Thai Singha/Kirin). When they closed one by one we found a Thai/Sushi shaped hole in our hearts - until now. Green Papaya scratched both itches simultaneously because sometimes you want a spicy tuna roll and a bowl of tom kha. We started with the appetizer sampler - all of which was good but the stand out was the chicken satay both in flavor and tenderness/moistness. I wasn't a huge fan of their summer roll - it had ground chicken that seemed like it was for the chicken lettuce wraps. But they had great peanut sauce. I may have found the perfect tom kha soup - the broth wasn't too sweet or too sour and the biggest surprise was they chopped up the ingredients! Not huge chunks of chicken and veggies, all nicely diced to easily fit on a spoon. I got it medium but could easily do med-hot. The kani salad was well dressed and had shredded cucumber in it as well which I was less thrilled about than my heterosexual life mate was. She also got a red dragon roll which had perfectly crunchy fried shrimp inside and well minced and seasoned spicy tuna on top. My panang curry was good but a tad more sour than I like, however the veggies and chicken were reasonably sized and cooked to perfection with tender meat and crisp veg. The place is very modern and trendy inside with bright lighting and a bit loud. It was still nice enough to hold a conversation. The service was fantastic and they even have one of the cute little server robots that seemed to be "in training" as it had a human server following it around.

It was fine, but it was missing that rich coconut milk flavor I look for -- it tasted thinner and less rounded than the curries I've had elsewhere. The second time I actually dined in and went with a stir-fry dish instead. That one was better. It was cooked well and everything was flavorful, though the fish sauce came through pretty strongly, which isn't always my thing. So: solid cooking, generous seasoning, but the curry didn't win me over. I'd say it's worth a shot if you like a bolder, fish-sauce-forward style, but I'm not sure I'll be rushing back.

Sakura House is great through and through in my opinion. I've had several very different menu items and have never been disappointed (my current go-to being the Chicken Katsu Bento, but the General Tso's is their shining star). The food is quick and affordable, yet honest and consistently delicious. The staff is made up of kind, hard-working people who really know their stuff. The place itself is small- not great for a large group, but a sweet, intimate experience for 4 or less. In a world where affordability *and* good quality are increasingly hard to come by at once, Sakura House is there to remind me that not all hope is lost :)

Their rice is absolutely spectacular and the sushi is consistently delicious every single time we dine here. It is a tiny littler place with not much seating and maybe that's why they aren't busting out of their seams with patrons. Be that as it may, they hit the bullseye on every dish we have ever ordered. It's by far our favorite place for Asian cuisine. Shhhh, don't tell everyone but give this place a try and you won't be disappointed, I promise.

The fish did not taste fresh to me this time. Even at the hot food portion the broccoli in the broccoli and chicken was inedible. The service was great though. They were very attentive to my needs. Mainly refilling my drink and taking away the food I could not eat. Didn't say anything to me really, but hey nothing really to say to me. The decor definitely needs an update. The ambiance there seems a bit dated. I could use a glow up for sure add a bit more lighting to it. Freshen the view up. Plus take down the printed signs in the dining room that discourage people from dining there. It paints the restaurant in a negative light and it is just tacky. They could of had a bad day with the food and truthfully I hope that's all it is. Another suggestion I would do is get rid of the buckets of ice cream and get a soft serve dispenser. That way you don't have all the people's hands reaching into the ice cream buckets. Again I haven't written the place up, but I do hope that they'll do some updates and fix the food.

The restaurant is very nice looking and seems to be clean. The decor is very fitting for this type of restaurant. Service was really good. Plates were cleared quickly and drinks were always refilled when needed. Food was really good! My negatives are few, but they're nothing big. By husband said some of the buffet items were not hot, but they seemed to be refilling and swapping out food regularly, so he figured it was just bad timing in his part. Very happy with the wontons. The hibachi was good, especially after learning how it works. However, it is a small grill and the cook was loading too much on, or couldn't keep track of the food. My second helping ended up on a plate mixed with someone else's food. I didn't have any meat and he had like 3 types of meat, so I was not interested in it. We will definitely be back. The Crazy Asian buffet/hibachi had been our go to, but it just changed to this restaurant!
