Whenever I have a long day at work or just need something reliably tasty and healthy-ish, I head to Sus Hi. I am a big fan of sushi and their sushi bowls are the next best thing to having 17 rolls of sushi all to myself. My usual go-to is the make your own sushi bowl. I load it up with all the rice, veggies, and raw tuna that the bowl can contain. There are plenty of other options if fish is not your thing. Their menu boasts several options for bowls, noodles, sushi, rolls, and mac & cheese. Pretty much any comfort food you could want, they have. I'm always greeted when I come into this location. The staff are very friendly and are ready to help if you need it. Even though the staff seems to always be making to go orders, they always make time for the guest who are inside the store as well. While my local store is usually busy with online and to go orders, the staff make time to ensure that the inside of the store is clean and cozy for guess who want to dine in as well. I always find a nice place to sit, and I can have a good laugh at the skeletons that decorate the front of the store. The store and the skeletons always match whatever holiday season we might be in. It's a nice personal touch to a relatively commercial store. I recommend this Sus Hi to anyone looking for a tasty, reliable meal! read more

I ordered takeout this past Friday from Sus Hi Eatstation and I'm obsessed with the packaging the food comes in. It reminds me so much of the vibe Hawkers has inside of its restaurant. My friend didn't love the fact that the shrimp tempura roll had cream cheese in it, as she wasn't used to shrimp tempura rolls containing that. I loved the pork and veggie egg rolls and the miso soup was flavorful, but the tofu inside of the soup wasn't the best tasting tofu I've had. However, she loved the pork dumplings and the krab Rangoons! I created my own roll and it included salmon, tuna, cucumber, sesame seeds, and mango. It was yummy, but the portion was smaller than I expected. I think they definitely specialize more in their fried foods department more than sushi. This place is a must try. Absolutely delicious food! Whether you like raw fish or prefer cooked chicken/steak or want something vegan, there are options for everyone. Plus the food comes in creatively decorated containers. For the amount of food, I felt the prices are fair. The seating area is nice and clean in case you want to sit in. The service was quick and friendly but the only issue was they forgot to add my avocado. This wouldn't have been a big deal if I didn't pay an up charge but I'll double check in the future. It was a generous amount of food and I got the regular size (there is a bigger one). I got to pick 3 proteins and customized everything. The service is great because you order on a screen and get to pick everything you want. My food was ready within 9 minutes. The restaurant was clean and well decorated, but I took my food to go. I must say I've been honing in on my ninja skills as I've been back to this little Asian-infused quick service restaurant many times in Altamonte Springs going towards Maitland. So many times in fact that I have a new list of favorite menu items: 1) Party In My Mouth Bowl (fresh and acidic with all the fix-ins and the recommended add-ons of avocado and spicy krab topping) 2) Kickin' Chicken Burrito (flavorful with a little spicy taste and all the fix-ins) 3) Cluckin' Good Burrito (flavorful with all the fix-ins in a red Cheetos crust) 4) Cheet Day Burrito (filling and saucy with all the fix-ins) 5) Mighty Chicken Burrito (filling and a little acidic with all the fix-ins, but a little dry so I add fire sauce on the side) They got a wide array of sauces to choose from including spicy mayo, wasabi, sweet teriyaki, etc. But I like most entrees here just as they're prepared since everything I've had is always bursting with flavor and the sweet soy sauce is my personal favorite sauce on the side for all of them. I'm still not bold enough to try sushi just yet, but the ninjas working here are all so nice and welcoming and they also have some good appetizers and seasonal desserts. The egg rolls were standard. The crab rangoons standard. Seaweed salad standard. I liked being able to get extra ginger, soy and wasabi. The fried cauliflower was delicious. I ordered their "Fry Me a River", which came with salmon, tuna, and spicy krab as my protien. it was also with avocado, edamame beans, cucumbers, scallions, purple cabbage, and sesame seeds. What added saucy flavor was the wasabioli, cream cheese, and their triple x sauce! You need a major appetite for these burritos! The loaded rice tots are a great shareable that rice and Nori tempura cheese, bacon, spicy krab, spicy mayo, scallions and sesame seeds. This could be a meal on it's own! The s'mores beignets are just as good as it sounds with the sweet fluffy beignets topped with crushed Graham crackers, Nutella, and torched marshmallows! I have visited Sus Hi on numerous occasions and on this last visit there seems to have been improvement in quality. The portion of salmon and tuna I received is much more than in previous visits and what also drives / warrants the increasing price of a bowl from previous trips here. I made my own bowl with the spicy tuna and salmon along with some shrimp tempura. Then more spicy and crunchy things (I like spicy can you tell?). It was filling and a ton of food. I will ask for less rice next time though. The restaurant was clean and the staff were zoned into there orders, so no greetings or much acknowledgment of us until our order was ready. It was not in a rude way and were attentive when I asked a question. I am a sucker for a place that you can build your own bowl and will be back again soon. read more

Their portions are generous, and the topping allowance is downright magnanimous. PSA: do not ask for every topping on your bowl/burrito concoction. Trust me, I've done it, at first you're overwhelmed with all the options and you hear Queen's song "I want it all" play in your head. Listen to your elder millennial, just don't, listen to your ninja server, they will guide you right. My go tos are always the burritos ($12), they're delicious and could feed a small family or medium sized dog. I've eaten here a few times and it seem to be consistently mediocre. I'm not a fan of their touch screen order since your have to go through a bunch of different slides to make your own roll. It was hard to check out because I missed something and I had to ask for help. I would rather have gone up to the station and pick and choose while they make it. The raw salmon looked soo pale. I hyped it up so much to my family but it was just meh. The Tempura topping was more like rice crisps? The jalapeños were pickled! Which is good for nachos but not a sushi bowl. Had us use the kiosk to order which took a good minute and after taking our credit card it said there was an error so we did it all again and the system crashed again. Went to talk to someone working behind the counter (who was super rude and refused to talk to us for a good bit despite us staring at them) and they said we needed to do it again on the tablet and guess what...it crashed again. We left frustrated and hungry. The worst part is they charged us 3 TIMES even though the employees assured us it wouldn't charge us. I love sus hi Eatstation! I probably eat form here 1-2x a month so I'm surprised it took me this long to write a review. I usually order delivery from them and create my own bowls, so I can't speak about the ambiance of the restaurant. I think it's more like fast Asian order at the counter kind of place. I love that it can be healthy and I always choose the half lettuce and half garlic brown rice. Their sauces are amazing, my favorite is the white sauce, sweet soy and spicy mayo. I create my own bowl and add edamame, mango, cucumber, spicy fire crab and choose between 3 of their proteins. I try to keep it healthy and also treat myself so do half grilled chicken and half of the breaded chicken. My only complaint is that sometimes when I order for delivery, my bowl is missing some of the toppings I requested. I'm not sure if they run out or just carelessness. I am not a huge fan of some of the changes that have been made. You no longer go down the window line to create your bowl. Instead you have to order on the touch screen kiosk. This makes it no a personable experience & I don't like not seeing my options thru the glass. My interaction with the staff was essentially just grabbing my to go bag at the very end. I miss the old rewards program that just used a phone number/email. I like the paper bowls it comes in now. I feel that I'm getting more food than I was before. The portion size was pretty good. I do feel like the price is high for what it is. It's hard to justify the price in some ways. The appetizers are very pricy. I've had several of them before and wasn't amazed by it. Easy 4 stars for food and service. The location seating capacity is on the smaller side but seems to turn over quickly. The first time here I went with a traditional roll and chose the spicy tuna and spicy salmon and then added various toppings and brown rice. To fill out my meal, I chose the imitation krab rangoons. While the rangoons were okay, I personally didn't not favor the oil they were fried in. The employees were super helpful and seemed like they were having a good time while putting together customer's meals. What a fun atmosphere they created! The second visit I opted for the Traditional Ninja bowl and substituted spicy for both tuna and salmon on top of brown rice with the rest of the set toppings. I really enjoyed the combo of ingredients and flavors. The portion was healthy so I was able to bring some home and enjoy it the next day! Because my daughter wanted to try the rice fries, I am now a fan! Enjoyed those lightly fried "sticks" with the white sauce. One word on the sauce selection - winners. Just a note about the wait time for eating in. Of the 2 times I've eaten at this location, the line was short on one occasion and over a half hour wait on the other.
