This place is delightful delicious and it always warms my day no matter how difficult my day was. It's been a while since I've eaten here, but not for the reason you would expect. I have been here 4 times in the past month 25 minutes before closing. You would think I could grab a little bowl and be on my way to warm my hard days work. However this is not what happened, instead the first time I came out of these 4, I parked my car, walked to the door and boom I saw it. A black restaurant with no one working inside. It was only 8:40 but my soul just died. I thought it must have been a fluke so I came back again on a different day on 8:40 again. This time, I was a little smarter, I looked through the window before parking and saw the same grueling disgusting outrageous sight. The restaurant was dark once again. My rumbling stumbling trembling tummy could not take it any longer. The 3rd time I was malnourished and really wanted poke. My week was horrible and this was the one thing that could fix it, but the light was once more off. I didn't know what to do, I sat in my car for a couple hours and decided to give this place one more chance in the near future. This have was today. I left my work exhausted tired and only wanting one thing, Poké. I made the drive missed a couple turns, but finally made it to my destination. This time was different, when I drove past the lights were on! My heart sank, my eyes awoken, and I was so happy I could finally fulfill my craving from the past month. Full with glee I parked my car opened the door and walked over all cheery. As I got closer I noticed something peculiar on the door. I didn't think anything of it at first but as soon as I could read it, a part of me died and will never comeback. The note read "we are out of tuna and salmon" the only thing I've been craving for this last month and many others in the past was a spicy tuna Poké bowl. This sign was the last straw. This poke restaurant is pretty decent! I like the size of their portions and they have a lot of non-fish options which is great for me right now being pregnant or for pickier eaters. They also have some nice drink and side selections as well. The restaurant is open and airy with lots of natural light, so it's perfect for a lunch in the sun. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is I feel like comparatively to other poke places in the SL valley, it's just not my favorite. It feels a bit overpriced and they don't have masubi which for me goes hand in hand with poke bowl restaurants. This is my new favorite Poke Shop. It is a little bit more expensive than most, but the quality of the fish is high. The Thai ginger sauce is so amazing and it pairs well with salmon. I always get extra sauce on the side in case I want to add a little bit more spice. I dont usually get shrimp in my poke bowls, but for some reason the sous vide shrimp just has the perfect mouth feel and the flavor compliments the other ingredients. I did a create your own bowl on my first visit and a Hungry Warrior the second, both were good, but anyone new should try a house creation first to understand all the ingredients and sauces and then venture out on your own flavor journey. read more

The sauces are the stars in the dish.the cilantro lime and the sriracha aioli were a great combination. I was looking for a good tasting meal that wouldn't feel like a gutbomb after and thus was exactly right (I got the regular portion size intead if the large but probably wouldn't have felt overfed with the large, either). I want to love this place but vacillated between 2 and 3 stars for a few reasons. First, I ordered tuna and shrimp and got tuna and salmon. The bigger issue is that the rice wasn't fresh, but you could tell it is either day old or had sat for a long time getting cold. One of the keys to great poke is fresh warm or hot rice and it just doesn't cut it to have cold, kinda stale rice. The wakame salad and crab mix were both really good as I tried sides of both. Drove all the way to Draper to try out a new place. Sadly we can't give them more than 3 stars. The Rainbow Bowl just wasn't good, my bf didn't like it at all. He ordered it with rice and quinoa for the base and there just wasn't enough sauce and it seemed like something was missing. Tasteless and bland. My custom bowl, on the other hand, was quite good! Mine was with salad greens for the base with tuna and salmon. My toppings went well together and everything tasted good. My son's kids bowl was disappointing. Again not enough sauce so his rice was all dry and sticky. On Mondays kids bowl is free so at least we didn't pay for it. Overall the protein quantities should've been more especially at these price points. There are other places that give you more for less. The eco-friendly bowls and cups were a nice touch but it can't make up for food that just doesn't taste good. I'm not sure if we'll be back. If we do we'll stick to the custom bowls. read more
