My nieces made Sheva Brachos for my daughter in a private room in Fresco and I'm giving it 2 stars to be generous. The sushi appetizers were good but everything else was mediocre at best. For example the penne vodka was tasteless the tuna main dish was so over cooked (and had a freezer taste) it was inedible. The cooked salmon was dry and tasteless. The desserts were awful. Food was good but service was subpar as usual. I ordered a wrap and then five minutes later asked to make sure that they didn't include capers and onions in wrap. Waitress said wrap is almost done and until we finished arguing for five minutes she agreed to remove capers and onions. The waitress then didn't stop by our table the whole meal. No refill on tap water. And worst of all 18 percent tip is on bill so no choice to tip based on quality of service. Had a very fresh delicious meal at Fresko. I have celiac and when I asked if they could provide me a safe gluten free meal, the manager Gabriel said he would take care of us personally which he did. He recommended the Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl - it was delicious. My daughter was pleased with pizza and cheese sticks. They even had gluten free soy sauce available. I really liked the sweet potato fries and the wrap. This is their saving grace. The waitstaff was not trained. There is hope for them! Never fear! The owner/manager/whomever had just gotten these earpieces for the waitstaff to wear. Which is a really nice, let's have fun in the work place, gimmick. Great. In the meantime we had been seated, ordered and the following had NOT happened: 1. We were not served water and therefore requested it...then they only brought one cup of water. 2. Neither of us ordered sushi yet the sushi setting the table was preset with remained on our table even after the food came, which really crowded the table. 3. The waitress did not bother to write down our order so came back to confirm our request. 3. Thus it continued. I felt like I had to train the staff on things that are pretty basic. Things they would know if only someone thought to tell them. It was not crowded so I can't cut them slack for that. The waitstaff was not rude, just not trained. They try to pretend to give you good service, but all they do is overcharge you for food that is not that great, then try to shoo you out of there as fast as possible, so they can charge more customers. They gave me such an uneasy feeling over there, even though I bought food, and was still eating it, that I probably will never go back there again. I tried speaking to the owner to explain to him that it's a very unwelcoming feeling and he basically agreed with me, but did nothing about it, and then even defended the behavior of his staff saying well "if someone is going to sit here for a long time doing paperwork or be on their laptop then they should go to Starbucks, this isn't the place for that". (Btw-all I had was my study notes, no laptop even...!) Also there are mostly Jewish Spanish speaking customers, and the place is extremely noisy, waaay above your normal chatter expected in a restaurant. I don't particularly like the food either, it's way overpriced, and they add too many weird flavors to things. I've been there several times, but after this I will take the owners advice and just go to Starbucks or to some other (this time) welcoming restaurant.... Fresko is ok. I tried this place out in a Groupon so that was cool. The desserts are great, but the dinner menu should improve. I got the cheese ravioli and felt the price did not match what was on my plate. My husband is a great cook and could have prepared better dinner for us at home. I don't keep kosher but I've had my share of glatt kosher in the aventura area. This is a different twist to the typical schwarma joints or the Chinese food places. This is a healthy, small portions/higher quality type place. In that fashion the prices are a bit high but not exorbitant or out of the norm for kosher restaurants. The three stars is food the bland food. I don't know if they dont use seasoning but I felt as though I were eating when I had a cold and a stuffy nose. The place is so-so. MENU: I have not been yet for dinner, but have been a few times for breakfast and lunch. The open sandwhiches are fine. The french toast is super chewy and tastes old. The smoothies are really good but insanely small and overpriced. Everything there is okay-ish, so dont go there for an amazing experience. SERVICE: Aweful. There is no management. Nobody greets you when you walk in. Once seated, you have to ask for a menu, ask to order, ask for utensils, and usually your order will be wrong. One time when I ordered, they gave me the entirely wrong sandwhich that had creamcheese. I pointed out the mistake, they apparently changed the toppings of the sandwich but left the old bread with the cream cheese still on it. YUCK The eggs are 'globby' and cold. Anything with avocado in it has very very sparse avocado. The service tip is incorporated into the bill, so there is no incentive for any good service. read more

The young waitress worked hard and was excellent. The pasta dish my son ordered was much smaller than usual. My daughter-in-law's dish had a chip missing from the edge of the bowl. We questioned the so-called manager and he said that the bowl was already broken when the food was put in the bowl. He confirmed that the small portion was the way it should be. This place has pretty good reviews online, especially for a kosher place in North Miami, but I was quite disappointed. We were there on a Sunday at 11 AM and they only had a breakfast menu at that time. They did not have any sushi but it was basically lunch time! Their breakfast menu is quite small. I had the yogurt and it was pretty disgusting - tasted like over sweetened danon yogurt. The granola wasn't half bad. The omelettes looked pretty solid and they do have a nice assortment of pastries. The space itself is quite cramped and the chairs are definitely not comfortable. I'd be very interested in having the sushi in the future but do not go here for breakfast. The redeeming part is that the staff who works there is quite nice and the prices at least for breakfast are extremely reasonable, especially for a kosher spot in this area. read more

We had a delightful breakfast/lunch yesterday at this popular destination restaurant. My veggie omelet was excellent and our guests also enjoyed their options as well. I read a comment by a previous visitor who was very negative about the omelet...to dry and etc. This was not my experience....fresh eggs, fresh veggies....and a tasty baguette. The only criticism is the coffee...it was bitter and a bit to strong. You may to use a medium roast. Other than that, our experience was very positive. read more

I eat Kosher and actually really like the food. Even though its Florida there is no excuse for making people wait on a Sunday lunch. I went with my daughter we had to wait 5 minutes for someone to get off the phone and seat us even though there were waitresses in the back doing nothing. Once we were seated we were told the AC was broken which was obvious and I asked for water for me and my daughter. With only two tables filled with a total of 6 people in the restaurant I had to look multiple times and try to get the servers attention. After another 5 minutes of waiting I got up and left. There was no excuse for the servers to just be hanging out in the back not helping anyone. I would not recommend the service to anyone. read more

I am not against Kosher restaurants, I actually typically like them when they have falafel and kabobs. But when they try to be some kind of sushi, salad, not sure what this place is. But, I have given it two tries since I work nearby and meh. I had a seared tuna salad that no joke had that curry mustard sauce they use at Chicken Kitchen. While that sauce is delicious, not over lettuce, seaweed and seared tuna. Oh and overpriced. About 15$ for this salad with 4 small pieces of seared tuna. I will definitely not be returning.
