Stevens Deli was recommended to me as a real deli, something we don't have in Lexington. I ordered…read morethe 1/2 Pastrami and a side of potato salad. A winner! The pastrami, the rye bread (specially made for them) and the potato salad were excellent. I was glad to have ordered the 1/2 sandwich as it was quite enough with the potato salad. The crew is great, and so friendly. Props to Marilyn. Lucky Louisville. 100.

There is a large menu board as you walk in the side door (the deli is located in the back of Dittos restaurant). They primary have soups salads and sandwiches and daily soup specials. You order at the counter, pay for your order, get your drink at the beverage area and have a seat. They will then bring your order to your table. We both opted for the pick two combo. I had a half ruben sandwich and a bowl of white chili. Both were excellent. A huge half sandwich and a large hearty bowl of white chili. The chili was flavorful but not spicy. It had lots of shredded chicken, beans and corn (which could have been left out in my opinion). My friend had the chicken salad sandwich and the white chili and said her sandwich was good, also a very large. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, parking on the side and in the back of the building. I had not been for years but it was a good choice for a late lunch.

The meat was slightly on the fatty side for me but nonetheless still amazing. The coleslaw was out of this world. House made chips are fantastic. Chocolate chip cookie tasted so good it makes you wanna slap yo momma. The service was outstanding and they were extremely helpful for first time customers. The establishment looked very clean and they do have some outdoor seating. The end.

I decided to give Good Belly Sandwich Shop a try after seeing a TikTok review that made the…read moresandwiches look absolutely massive and incredible. Based on that video, my expectations were pretty high. My wife and I made the trip out there, and I ordered the Reuben while she ordered the Turkey Reuben. The restaurant itself was clean and nice enough, although nothing particularly memorable. Their homemade chips were definitely the highlight of the meal--they were fresh, crispy, and probably the best part of our visit. Unfortunately, everything else fell short of what we were expecting. The Reuben lacked the bold, savory flavor that makes a great Reuben memorable. I was hoping for something that reminded me of the oversized, flavor-packed deli sandwiches you'd find in New York City, but this just wasn't it. In fact, I honestly think the Reuben at Jason's Deli has more flavor and is a better sandwich overall. Service also left something to be desired. While ordering drinks, we asked what they had available since they weren't listed on the main menu. Instead of simply pointing us in the right direction, the employee gestured toward a small drink menu sitting on the counter and made us feel like we should have already known it was there. As first-time customers, that wasn't a great first impression. Another thing that made the experience uncomfortable was an employee who continually walked around the dining room, clearing tables while closely watching people who were still eating. I understand keeping the restaurant clean, but it felt like we were being rushed, and several times it seemed like he was hovering over diners rather than just checking on the dining area. To top it off, I ended up with heartburn shortly after leaving, which didn't help my overall impression of the meal. I really wanted to love this place because the online videos made it look like a hidden gem with giant, authentic deli sandwiches. Unfortunately, my experience didn't live up to the hype. While the homemade chips were excellent, the sandwich, service, and overall atmosphere just didn't justify making another trip. Sadly, this is one place I don't plan on visiting again.

I ordered the shrimp and grits, and without exaggeration, they were the best I've ever had. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, and the balance of textures throughout the dish was incredible. Every bite had the perfect amount of crunch, flavor, and toppings. Nothing felt overwhelming or out of place. It was one of those meals where you find yourself slowing down just to enjoy every bite. Even the water deserves a mention. It was clean, crisp, and refreshing. If it came straight from the tap, I would have never known. It's a small detail, but it speaks to the overall dining experience when even something as simple as water stands out. The service was great, and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. It's easy to see why this restaurant has built such a strong reputation. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 comes down to accessibility. As a person with a disability, parking can make or break a dining experience. Unfortunately, there was no handicap parking available, and there were no nearby parking spots open when I arrived. I ultimately had to park in a hotel lot about a block away, which cost $25 for just two hours. Not only was the cost frustrating, but the additional distance was challenging given my mobility needs. The food was phenomenal and absolutely worth trying, but I do hope accessibility becomes part of the conversation for future guests. For those without mobility concerns, this may not be an issue, but for disabled patrons, it's something important to consider before visiting.

This shop taught me that an iced lavender latte can be divine, and I indulged in one this weekend. Still delicious! I do wish they offered larger drink sizes. I asked my friend to come here since it was on the way to another destination. It is definitely a unique little building. The inside was rather quite interesting, one side is the coffee/bakery/market side. The other has inside seating. We definitely looked around and at the menu to decide what we wanted. They have a cooler in the middle of the store for drinks. Since we were in a hurry (to get to our destination) my friend got a bottled glass coke and I got bottled glass Fanta. The employee behind the counter was quite interactive and was interested in knowing what prizes we got after getting the stamps on the passport. I wish we weren't in a hurry otherwise, would love to have sat down and enjoy an iced coffee and maybe a bakery treat. There's always next time.
