We were so happy to stumble upon this place on a late Sunday morning. It's such a bright and cheery atmosphere inside and the service matched that attitude. I went here spontaneously with my family and we all enjoyed what we ordered! I got chicken enchiladas and although I preferred it when I added hot sauce on top, it was still pretty good. Wow! So glad I came here to get authentic Mexican cuisine during my work trip to Dallas! Coming from the northeast, I knew tacos would be a must for this trip. I ordered an agua fresca de pepino (cucumber lime), which was refreshing and tasty. The house chips and salsa were great! We enjoyed eating them and looking at the fun, colorful decor of this place while we waited for our order to come out. The birria tacos with consume were delicious! The chicken tamale was flavorful, moist, and perfect when paired with their house hot sauces. The chile relleno was perfectly crisp and filled with fresh melted oaxaca cheese. It was my coworker's first time trying chile relleno or tamale and I was so happy to be able to introduce her to them at a place with such authentic and flavorful preparation. The service was also wonderful! Our waitress was happy to answer questions, give us time with the menu, and she was eager to hear our feedback, which was entirely positive. The menu had titles in English and Spanish but descriptions in Spanish, so I just translated the descriptions as best I could to my coworker. We walked into a heavily decorated dining room and people were in masks, sitting in the booths, waiting for their food. We were greeted immediately. I didn't see birria tacos on their menu but the woman behind the counter was happy to take my order. She was so nice. Apparently the 3 orders ahead of us also purchased birria tacos. We sat about 10 minutes inside waiting for our order. Sit down when you eat it. It's messy but worth it. The meat is tender, so flavorful, and oozing with cheese. The consume is the winner here. It has that "cooking all day" taste with shredded melt in your mouth meat in it. So good that I slurped on the consume after the tacos were done. I wanted to bathe in it or at least boil some ramen noodles and eat it like soup. So delicious. It's has little heat and an explosion of flavor. The location is quite sketchy. There were police vehicles in the parking lot and a few with its siren on in the neighboring houses. My family and I where excited to try this place out since it has great reviews but sad that it was so disappointed $70 down the drain we arrive and the Devore Is so nice very colorful but only one person was serving and we waited for our food for over an hour , we usually do t mind the wait if the food is worth it but the salsa was so runny like water it was more like a soup the flavor was good but we couldn't get any on our chips it was so runny I ordered the menudo , it tasted more like an Asian soup not menudo and it had an after taste my husband ordered a torta and it was big but the bottom was soggy so much it made the bread fall apart my some ordered chicken strips and they where old like refried several times and my mom ordered the pork guiso and it was dry which shouldn't be the case we also asked the waiter for drinks and she would take a very long time to bring because she would forget .
