SECOND, the food is just as amazing! I was so happy hahah. It's been a long time since I enjoyed a restaurant for more than just their food. We came here for my boyfriend's parent's anniversary and the server's were wonderful and honestly very thoughtful as well! They were very attentive to our table and refilled our waters often. I also say this because when my bf's parents ordered the halibut to split, they had brought out their meal in two individual plates that were beautifully plated, you would think they ordered separately! They also took our group picture! :) We ordered 2 orders of the Basement Snacks: For Two, 2 orders of their raw oysters for appetizers. For my entree I ordered the Shrimp Carbonara Rossa with a side of Asparagus. Everything was so good. Their buffalo wings were perfectly marinated and not too saucy, their ribs were so tender and the meat fell straight off the bone! My carbonara was also delicious. For dessert they even gave an anniversary treat which was so sweet. I ordered a Chocolate Cappuccino which was also great. 11/10! Wonderful and would recommend.

All the food was good and very generous portions. There was a hiccup with a few of the Seafood Fra Diavolo and they were very accommodating. Great service, good, strong drinks, and all around great vibe.

However, they only have bags of chips for sale for $2, but you can bring in your own food. Decent selection of beer and the bartender was friendly. A local was also at the bar and he was friendly and gave us some advice about places to eat nearby. (Enoteca Maria is a few stores up the street. It's the restaurant in the movie Nonna's with Vince Vaughn, but it's pretty hard to get a table there). This place is kind of small. Probably around 10 seats at the bar and about 5 tables. Place is also cash only, but there is an ATM by the front. If you want a quick drink, this dive bar will do.

We stumbled across this bar and it's light years away from the bars in Manhattan. Very much a local bar but we were made to feel somewhat welcome. I think this place was probably a cooler more original dive bar in the past. The clientele was unfriendly and uninteresting. A bunch of young people with no money asking people to buy them drinks. As a bit of dive bar connoisseur, thousands of check-ins and reviews, I really didn't know what to make of this place. It has the look and patina, but I guess a new generation of patrons removes the classic dive bar luster. Thanks

I feel like I am with my Italian friends and family in Corona,NY. There is nothing but love in all three restaurants. They have everything covered. The staff are a beautiful group of "International", young people. The tastes of the food and the creativity, blew my mind. The Crab Cakes are the best I have ever had! Food wise, Bayridge rivals Manhattan. The female staff made me fall in love! They make this old man feel special. Drinks are awesome and inventive.

The fried calamari could've been less oily, as this took away from the crunch; also slightly overcooked. Baked clams were decent. Salmon was cooked to perfection. Pizza was great! They reheated for us, since our group was too busy chatting. Desserts - phenomenal! Drinks- ehh. Brunch menu - French toast was decent. The salmon over hash brown , was lacking a touch of something , couldn't pinpoint what was lacking. Chicken and waffles, decent, wasn't the best I've had. Service- jonathan was our waiter during brunch and also our bartender. He's GREAT! During service dinner, we had a female waitress and I felt she lacked attention to details and couldn't flag her down when we wanted something. Overall, service is a hit or miss , I guess? If you're looking for an intimate dinner, nope. Love their vibes and music playing in the background. You might need to "shout"'to hear

We came here a second time, specifically to give this place a try…read more Why a second time, you may ask? Because the 1st time we came back in '22, on a Sunday, the entire bar was booked for some kid's birthday party. When we walked in, people looked at us like we were clearly in the wrong place (rather than tell us, nicely, that they simply weren't open to other customers). So we came back today, on a goegeous Saturday, at about 2:00 pm. Prime time for people to head out on a walk to explore Staten Island, and to grab a refreshing beer at a local brewery. And guess what? Closed, again. For another kid's party. You know how the saying goes - screw me once, shame on you. Well, this is officially 0 for 2. The kicker is that we even called ahead multiple times to try and see if they were indeed open today; got zero answers, and their voicemail is full. I've absolutely, positively no idea why this place has tremendous reviews. They absolutely stink at handling the basics of a brewery. Not to mention, and not to throw shade at the entire neighborhood, but the adjacent plaza isn't exactly visitor-friendly. Trash everywhere basically. Do yourself a huge favor and come try the nearby Craft House. They do CRAZY stuff here, such as: a) answer phones b) serve adults on a Saturday c) have good beer and good bar apps. Never trying my luck at the joke of a "Flagship" brewery again.
