My dad, little brother, and I have been coming here for almost two decades getting our hair cut by Katie! I highly recommend her if you're not wanting to spend such a big amount on getting your hair cut. Yes, prices have gone up in the past from $9 to $15 but so have other places and living in this area has become more expensive. I still can guarantee this is the lowest you'll find for a great cut! I also appreciate the fact that Katie is still doing her part with keeping her customers safe by implementing safe practices; like having an appointment based hair cut to avoid overcrowding because it was mostly a walk-in basis before and you would have to wait if it was busy... She also uses a one-time use hair cutting cape (the cover they put on you to avoid having your hair all over your clothes) to avoid sharing cutting capes between customers She also still uses a mask whenever she cuts your hair! So if you're still cautious about COVID-19 or just germ-conscious, I recommend going to her! She's a very friendly person, easy to talk to, and if you go often enough, she's really amazing at remembering your cut style (if you get the same cut regularly) and she's very gentle as well when cutting your hair as I've experienced some places that hurt a little when they're shaving your hair, but not her! She's very great at her craft and the cuts always come out great and we're always walking out happy! If you have trouble finding the building, it's inside of a mobile home complex and it's by the pool area to the right. You'll see the signs as well pointing in the direction for the hair cut place. There is 2 designated parking spots for this business! And with the appointment based hair cut, parking won't be an issue. Overall, I would recommend her and her business for all ages and any gender. This place is pretty decent for two reasons and these two reasons only! 1) guys hair cut 2) cheap price This place is very small... Most clients are old customer and males. The stylist is quiet nice and can be talkative. The biggest problem is that usually there is only 1 stylist working so good luck trying to come here in the right timing! If you are lucky, there is only 1 person ahead of you, if you are unlucky, there can be 4 people ahead of you. So what happen at the end if there is a lot people waiting? You feel rush and you get a bad hair cut! So that is why I said its better for the guys... Their hair is more simple and usually quicker... But seriously, 5-10 min on women's hair? There's a riddle that I heard in the past that goes something along the lines of: You're new in town and you need a haircut. There are two barbers in opposite sides of town. One barber has stylish and clean hair, always wears a clean white clothes and always manages a clean store. On the other side of town, there's a barber who has unkempt hair, shabby clothing, and a dirty floor filled with hair. Who do you go for a haircut? Answer: The dirty barber because everyone goes to that barber for a reason. The reason why it's dirty is because the barber doesn't even have enough time to clean up after each customer and the barber doesn't have enough time to keep up with his own appearance. I find many similarities from that riddle with this barber shop. Today was my first time going to this barber, and at first I couldn't believe my friend when he said that the line is out the door right when it opens. He wasn't kidding. When we got to the store at 9:55am (store opens at 10am) there was at least 5 people ahead of us waiting for the stylist to open the shop. The wait wasn't that long though, perhaps ~40-50 minutes; the lady who runs the store only cuts what's necessary and doesn't spend her time cleaning her tools. When the next customer steps up, she simply brushes the previous customer's hair from her shavers, applies some sort of gel, and gets right to work. Might I add that she did great work with my hair and it was all for $7! The work was so good that i tipped her 3 dollars (even more tip than i usually give previous barbers). This place is great if you have a lot of time. If you get there when she opens, the wait will likely be over an hour. If you get there half an hour or more before she opens, you may be among the first new people in line. She is very careful with her cuts so know that the $7+tip will give you a quality cut if you're willing to wait. If you can't spare an hour+, I recommend going somewhere else. The shop itself is very small and there is only one person working so the wait can be very long. She also seems to be frequented by a lot of Chinese and Indian families. Definitely lots of loyal customers. Great value and I may come back from time to time but this place usually drops to the bottom of my list when I don't have extra time to spare. Also, I showed her a picture of that shaved comb over that seems to be so popular now and she does it, but apparently asian ladies have their own version: instead of a clear border between a #1 shave on the size and the comb over, they just shave straight up and round out all the corners so that the side blends/fades into the comb over. It gives me a slightly unique cut compared to everyone else and I look good in it so its no biggie. read more

If there's one thing I'm super picky about, it's my hair.. and i trust Cathy to do a great job every time, so much so in fact that i now have Cathy cut my 3 year old son's hair as well (by the way, she does an amazing job with kids too!). She is very skilled and also just a super nice person in general (and always has good insightful life tips). Her fade is the best in the business.. seriously! With the pandemic, she has really taken steps to help protect her customers.. including appointments-only, face masks, proper ventilation (with open doors/windows), disinfecting tools, and even an air purifier! If I could give 0 stars, I would. Have never been so dissatisfied in my life. I went in with a picture of what I wanted, which was a short neck length hair style, came out looking like a guys hair cut. I was beyond pissed. Why tell me you can cut my hair like the picture if you cannot do it. I will never go back there. They are not sanitary either. I am tempted to call the health department. They should have there combs and scissors sanitize after every use and they are not. Use the same scissors on every customer. The chair had hair stuck all between the arm rests. I am quite particular of my hair and I felt the lady (didn't get her name) did a great job in 10-15 minutes, which is strange, because it usually takes people 30-45 minutes to cut the style I want. It was fast, cheap and exactly what I wanted. However, there may be some things that may bother other customers that didn't bother me: 1. There was no small talk during the whole process (i.e. no how are you, where you're from, etc.) 2. There was only one barber when I went and there was no downtime between customers. She didn't clean the hair off the floor or the surrounding area. I noticed there was still hair on the cape from the previous customer. Oh, make sure to also bring cash as she doesn't accept credit cards. read more

Cathy is like psychic or something. You tell her what you want and you look better than what you expect. I loved her, and shes quite friendly. She doesn't really talk to you unless you talk to her first, but shes always laughing when you do talk to her.
