She is currently in a phase where she would like to keep her length so we don't get our hair cut too often. With school just starting up, I made the drive out to see Loan for a little snipity snip refresher. No appointments are taken so walk ins are 100% how Cali's Perfect Cuts roll. Aim for weekday visits and random times so you avoid long waits as much as you can. We love our visits with Loan and I am especially thankful that she is so attentive to my little one. She makes her feel seen and genuinely listens to what she has to say. The smiles don't stop while my 6yo is in the chair and she is always left in awe with the aftermath results. This should go without saying but Loan gets 5/5. SHES THE ABSOLUTE BEST!

The first time I came here, I got my haircut from the main lady who runs the shop. After the haircut, she asked if everything looked okay. I politely pointed out a few uneven areas that I noticed, but she didn't seem happy that I mentioned them. That left me wondering what the point is of asking customers if everything looks okay if they're made to feel uncomfortable for giving honest feedback. After that experience, I decided to switch to another barber. I've been going to the other lady for quite some time, hoping I had found someone I could stick with long-term. Unfortunately, the results have been hit or miss. There were numerous occasions when I got home and had to fix my haircut myself. Even so, I never complained. I paid the full price every time because I believed in paying the value of the service and hoped the next visit would be better. I also found myself asking: Is paying $30 for a haircut, plus a $10 tip, considered fair these days? I looked into it because I wanted to make sure my expectations were reasonable. From what I found, those prices are within the normal range for a quality haircut, which makes it even more disappointing when the results don't match the price. I remember when getting a clean, straight fade wasn't something that felt difficult to find. It makes me wonder why this shop has such a high rating. Are those mostly longtime regulars? Do they receive a different level of service? I honestly don't know. I really wanted this place to be my go-to barbershop, which is why I gave it so many chances. But being managed by someone who can't respect her own customers' time is a real problem. Vivian, who runs the place, has delayed my appointments a handful of times without any heads-up. I let it go each time out of loyalty. Today she took it a step further and completely missed my appointment -- no call, no text, no explanation. I waited 15 minutes and left. When the manager herself is the one ghosting customers, there's no one to escalate to and no accountability. That's a structural problem. Two years of business and this is how it ends. The shop has potential, but until there's basic reliability and professionalism at the top, I can't recommend it.

As we went into the salon, they had a water bottle propping the door open. I didn't want to knock their bottle down so I waited until they opened the door. I sat down and was quickly served by a gentleman who ended up cutting my hair. I wanted them to cut my hair short and I think they cut it a little shorter than I wanted. This wasn't an issue since my hair grows quickly. He asked me where I wanted to cut my sideburns twice, but was blocking my view to the mirror both times. I asked him to touch up some areas in the front when he was done and instead of using his scissors, he takes out the clippers and runs it on my whole head again. The cost of the haircut was $8 here and it was only an average cut.

If hairstylist putting you down for appointments and is late for appointments for 30+ minutes each time (and don't even apologize for the delay) would frustrate you, this is truthfully not the salon for you. I wish they would value their customers' time. Sometimes it really feels like the appointment structure here works just like doctor visits. You can call ahead to make appointments, but there's no guarantee your stylist will be at the salon on the day of your appointment. When you're lucky, you'll receive a phone call the day of to notify you that your stylist will be absent for your appointment. If you're unlucky, you'll find out when you arrive that another stylist will have to help you because your regular stylist is not in town. The skill of a stylist is worthless to me unless he/she knows the importance of honoring appointment times. I've stopped coming here for a while because I was tired with appointment issues. The salon I go to now is pricier but I no longer have to wait unnecessarily for my stylist because she doesn't double book herself like this place does.

I went in and there was another client she was working on, along with boxes everywhere. She let me know she had just moved in that day. It was a long while before she even began with me, finally placed the smallest amount of solution of the Brazilian blowout as a ring at the top of my head all at once, and left me for a good 45 mins to look for the comb. The solution completely dried (still only at the top) and I worried the treatment wouldn't work and was reassured that it still got in my hair after she proceeded to brush it in after find a full brush since couldn't find the comb. I'm really disappointed with the treatment, and the amount of times I was left hanging while she spoke to others, or looked for things. And honestly I would've been ok if at least the treatment felt like it worked. Its still frizzy and unmanageable and I've done brazilian multiple times and this was nothing like my other treatments. I tried messaging a few times after washing my hair and after returning from my travels to ask if she'd be willing to work something out with me- and all she could offer is for me to come back and pay half the amount which I can't justify going back. You get what you pay for. I'm sad that I had a terrible experience here, if you're a mom with little time on your hands, find a place that will honor your time better.

I've never seen this behavior anywhere before. Maybe it was just a busy day.
