" Bacon Mac N Cheese Burger"

This place was a complete letdown. I came in for the first time very hungry ready to enjoy a bacon mac & cheese burger, but it was nothing like what was advertised. First, I waited forever just to be served a plain burger--no mac, no cheese, just disappointment. I sent it back, thinking they'd fix it, but they took forever AGAIN and I thought they were making it When it finally came out, I couldn't believe it. There were maybe 8 macaroni noodles on the whole burger. You could literally count each noodle. Where was the creamy mac & cheese the menu promised? Good luck finding it. To top it off, the water tasted awful--like toilet water, honestly. This was such a frustrating experience, and I'll never be coming back. If you're going to charge for something special, at least make it worth the hype. fires were good tho.

Haven't been here in 3 years so we were in the neighborhood and my son wanted it. Walked in and was sat right away we had a friendly older waitress. My son ordered a Turkey Melt, he took one bite and said it was delicious and with the Turkey melt he ordered mashed potatoes, that was a different story he didn't care for it and he loves potatoes, I was shocked on that one so I grabbed my fork and took a little bit and I cannot explain it just wasn't great at all. My boyfriend ordered a Burger which in his words " a Burger is a Burger" and I ordered a classic BLT which was actually pretty good and different from the other restaurants I ordered from. I believe it's the bread though I am not certain but something about this BLT is different in taste. The place could use some updating though, it just looks stuck from the late 90's, more tables would be nicer than booths, no offense to my other half he is a big guy and squeezed into the booth. Nice place, good food.

This is an update to the review I wrote for this restaurant five years ago and people............. It gets worse. This restaurant chain used to be beloved in the New England area and now I can plainly see why they're closing down left and right. It's sad because they had the unique niche of the ice cream being the big finish of the meal. Sadly, it's everything that leads up to the ice cream which is sub par. Again my responsibility as a yelp elite is to let you know the spots to go and the which ones to avoid with your family. The TLDR is don't come here. The service is again super slow even when empty (I have pictures) the waitress brought out the wrong food (again it wasn't busy here) the food is and dare I say, it smells a little funny in here. Clearly the sun is setting on this franchise and the quality of the service is going down right along with it. Friendly's is like that old family dog who's lived a full life but now he's old and tired. He doesn't come when you call. He poops and pees in his bed at night and you fastly approaching the date to put him to sleep. It's been real old friend and we had some fun memories but it's all over.

The coffee was also very good and complemented the meal nicely. The restaurant has a comfortable seating area and a welcoming atmosphere that makes it easy to relax and enjoy your meal. The quality of the omelet, good coffee, friendly service, and pleasant environment made for a very satisfying visit. Overall, a great local breakfast spot, and I'd definitely come back to try more items from the menu.

I had the bowl of chicken soup with matzo balls and it was very delicious, filling and extremely satisfying. Soup is my favorite food and it gives me comfort to know I can get an amazing bowl nearby. My wife had the bang~bang chicken sandwich. Crispy fried chicken cutlet topped w/ red cabbage~cucumber slaw + spicy pickles + sweet chili~chipotle smack sauce + ciabatta. It was cooked to crispy perfection with just the right amount of spice from the pickles. It came with a half sour pickle that was quite delicious. Good pickles are hard to find and they have them here. Lisa, the bartender was very friendly and helpful. Made us feel welcome from the moment we sat at the bar. The menu is very extensive and we are looking forward to going back and sampling other items.

They pride themselves with offering gluten free options and an awareness of food allergies. This location is located in the Shops of Farmington. There are plenty of parking especially out back by the red barn. The restaurant was large and spacious. There was a huge U-shaped bar. They also have a nice patio area with plenty of seating and a fire pit; this would be great when the weather is nice. My family and I had lunch on Saturday. It was busy but not overwhelming. Our server was busy but super attentive and friendly. I noticed it was very kid-friendly since there were other kids there and they had a kids menu. Their menu was vast menu and I wanted to try so many food items. I started off with a hibiscus margarita; oh my, one of the best I've had, it was a 5/5. We also had the asian calamari; it's fried battered squid, banana peppers, and a side of sweet chili. This was mouthwatering good and it was a 4/5. I had a cesar half salad which was toothsome; the dressing, parmesan, croutons, and salad ratio was perfection. My main entree, I had the prosciutto wrapped cod; that is baked cod, wrapped with prosciutto, served over parmesan risotto and broccoli with lemon butter. The showstopper was the parmesan risotto, I could eat a gallon of that lol. The cod was okay, it needed more flavor but the prosciutto definitely helped with the flavor. Overall the cod fish was 3.5/5. Next time, I want to try their Thai sesame salmon, apricot shrimp risotto, pulled pork Mac and cheese, Bolognese, crab rangoon dip, and firecracker shrimp, to name a few. I was so torn but I chose a bit of a healthier option due to my New Year resolution. I loved that they had the total calories next to the menu items. My family and I look forward to going back soon!

I felt bad for the waitress as she tried hard to make our lunch experience pleasant (although I will say she and the rest of the waitstaff disappeared frequently even though the place was virtually empty), but my mother had something green and gross in her glass of water and then was served a salad with wilted lettuce, and I ordered a burger that took quite a surprisingly long time to make and it came out missing some toppings. It's possible the Italian place across the way is a better place to go, but I wouldn't come here again.

I moved back east not long ago, and finally got the chance to check out Blue House Bagels in July…read more Since then, I have been coming here (quite literally) every weekend. First, the staff are amazing here, they are friendly and kind and always keep up a good vibe and attitude no matter how packed or busy the place gets (and trust me, it gets PACKED). The interior of this place is adorable, and feels like you're really stepping into an old preserved colonial home. The bagels are always fresh, and due to the sourdough they don't cause any bloating or make you feel stuffed in a bad way. They're always coming up with new combinations and flavors and it's hard sometimes to know what to pick but I am not complaining! The biggest thing to keep in mind is get here early if you can, as they don't have much parking (you can sometimes find parking in the small lot next door). I am a huge bagel breakfast sandwich fan, and I can see myself coming here every weekend for a very, VERY long time. If you get the chance, grab some of their starter that they sell in house, on Amazon, or even at Shoprite in Canton if they still have their display going! Keep doing what youre doing Blue House Bagels, you guys have it right.

Never mind its awards. So when I finally went this morning, I was afraid the bar was set at a level it couldn't possibly live up to. Somehow, it still blew me away. It's an adorable building (yes, it is a blue house). The side door main entrance was open and clearly marked, and then the layout inside was so well thought out and it couldn't have been easier to navigate as a first time customer. I had a pretty good idea of wanted I wanted ahead of time, and was just hoping that even though it was a weekday, they weren't already sold out of anything (I know they get extremely busy and have a very devoted following). They had been posting a lot about their Egyptian dukkah bagels. I love dukkah (they use cardamom, sesame seed, clove, paprika, fennel & E.V.O.O.), so I ordered that as my bagel choice for their Blue House sandwich. They have many brilliant sandwich options as well as the option to build your own. They also have many house made schmears, pastries and other goodies. They even do stuffed bagels. I believe they are a completely, if not predominantly, sourdough based bakery. So my sandwich, the Blue House, had egg, white cheddar, heirloom tomato, greens, and herb aioli. Watching them make the sandwich was incredible and a treat in itself. The level of care and craftsmanship they put into each sandwich is rare. I could tell which one was mine and just had a blast watching! Very happy foodie. The bagel was toasted just enough, but the chewy sourdough texture wasn't lost. It was a remarkable bagel. One of the best I have ever had. I hesitate to call it the best after just one visit, but it was good enough to entertain that thought. The sourdough recipe also made it extremely light and it agreed with my finicky health/dietary needs better than any other bagel I've had in years. The topping ratios were just perfect. Rarely do bagel sandwiches with an aioli have enough, and they put plenty without making it overly saucy. Just brilliant sandwich construction, which really is not taken seriously enough. I brought a French toast bagel to my mom with a tub of their apple & honey cream cheese, which I tasted of course. Whipped and super light. Flavor unlike any other schmear I've had before. It was an incredible flavor. My mind really was blown. Everyone working was cheerful, warm, and friendly. It was a wonderful environment, and from what I had seen on social media it seems like it's always that way and I great place to be with passionate people behind it. I honestly see it being very hard to go to another bagel shop any time soon. This was just an overall fabulous experience. Every aspect. I cannot wait to go back. I will say it had very steady business around 8:45 on a Wednesday, so be prepared for them to be busy.

The bun was maybe at best 2/3 the size of a hot dog bun and had probably half a chicken lobster worth of lobster... it at that. I doubt it even reached 4oz, and with a side of fries, market price was $30. I felt completely ripped off. I've gone to Abbots at the shore of the Sound, and their roll cost the same but was about double the contents and I didn't leave hungry. $30 and I was lucky that I ordered an appetizer to fill in the gap in my stomach.
