Service was a little rocky at the beginning since it took a bit for someone to come over to us but everything was smooth from there. I got salmon and filet mignon and it was pretty good and I still had so much left to take home! The crisp on the salmon was perfect without it being dried out. The steak was cooked a bit too well for my liking, but wasn't tough so it's fine. If I could recommend one item to get and one to skip for sure: get the shumai (like 3 servings) and skip the lycheetini. A good time overall. read more

Stop by Mizu 21 on Sunday nice happy spot did not disappoint. Super friendly with great parking. Very clean atmosphere and the food was great. We had the Szechuan spice dumplings they were tender and flavorful with great broth. Then we ordered the Godzilla Roll it was done to perfection with lots of shrimp it's a must have. For dinner I had Steak with shrimp Hibachi absolutely delicious and a nice size portion. If you haven't been I would give it a try. read more

I wanted so much to love this place! First of all, it's absolutely beautiful. I went with a group of 10 to have lunch. The waitress while very sweet was not the right fit for a big group. She was very soft spoken and shy, and had trouble with orders. My friends ordered hibachi from the children's menu and she came back 10 minutes later and said she got trouble couldn't do that. I felt like at that point she should've honored it and known for the next time. She never refilled any drink drinks. I got the Kani salad and the shrimp avocado roll. When you walk through the door you immediately notice that this place is new and beautifully decorated. We were seated at the hibachi tables in the back, which were nice. Unfortunately, we noticed right away it was freezing. Like you can't really enjoy your meal freezing. I'm not sure if it's just that it's super cold out right now so the vents for the hibachi are just letting super cold air in or what. Most people were wearing jackets inside. As fast as food goes, everything was seasoned well and tasted good. Soup was good but lukewarm. The salad tasted good, but was extremely watery. I think they could revisit cooking order a bit. At our table they cooked rice first and then the noodles. Then everyone but one person got their steak. She had to wait another few minutes for hers to cook. Finally they cooked veggies last. Since it was so cold in the room, our food was cold in minutes so that was a bummer. I'd maybe consider cooking the veggies first since those take the longest. My family and I gave this place another chance. We had a late lunch on Saturday (2:30). It was a great time to go because it was quiet with only a couple of other patrons. We decided to do hibachi for my son's early birthday lunch and it was his first experience with hibachi. We got our own hibachi table and chef. The service was great from the start. We got our drinks and appetizer out fast. The drinks, a Mai Tai and Long Island iced tea, both were great. We shared two delicious sushi rolls for $13; those were the Philadelphia roll and eel & avocado roll. I opted for the lunch menu item, shrimp hibachi; it came with fried rice, veggies, and about 6 shrimps. They also provide a ginger dressing and spicy mayo for dipping. The chef did a good job with entertaining us, especially my kids. The food and portions were pretty good for lunch. Our waitress was super attentive and friendly throughout our dining experience. Good hot Asian food with a pretty varied menu. Especially on weekends I've only stopped by for an order that I'd called in and decided to simply pick it up and enjoy it with our family at home). That was during summer of 2024). Depending on what you've ordered it may take a little time to cook but the service is pretty good overall. Although it can be busy they do have comfortable booths to relax and enjoy your meal. Inevitably once in a while you're going to hear partying going on especially around the Hibachi cooking areas where families come for a show besides the food. Clearly a great place to bring your family. My wife personally enjoys the fresh made house salad dressing as I do too. I've tried the plain Chicken Wings (crispy), boy do they ever come out so delicious and hot. The Boneless Sticky ribs are sweet and tasty. This establishment gets quite busy on a Saturday night. Came a few weeks back for my boyfriend's niece's birthday and we sat at one of the hibachi stations. They took our order very fast which didn't give us much time to look over the menu. I know there is lots to prepare though for a big group. I got a sushi roll and miso soup. Miso soup was pretty bland, and my sushi roll was ok. Hibachi looked fine. Our chef wasn't overly exciting. I've definitely seen better hibachi before. It's nice that it's close to the Canton shops, but with Mercato and great establishments nearby, I wouldn't come back to this place. Was just ok. read more

It was an old school Canton landmark of an Italian restaurant hidden behind a huge mound of rocks set back on Route 202. It was bulldozed away, the rocks were demolished, the landscaping was graded flat and improved, and a new restaurant emerged. Welcome to the replacement-Mizu 21, a super slick Asian Fusion Hibachi, Sushi, and Bar. The interior is just plain gorgeous, with a sleek and ultra-modern sushi bar, cocktail bar, dining room and hibachi room. There was a lot of applause and raucous laughter coming out of the hibachi room, so no doubt their chefs put on a helluva entertaining show. Our server, Colin was fantastic -full of personality, charm, and a deep knowledge of the menu. We each had an appetizer and an entrée. Our two appetizers were Harumaki ($7 for four Japanese fried eggrolls) and a Spicy Kani Salad ($9) with a big portion of crab sticks, cucumber, spicy mayo and a sprinkling of masago. Both dishes were very good. I loved the Kani, it was spicy and quite delicious. My wife's entrée was a Grilled Chicken Salad ($12) of thinly sliced marinated chicken, spring mix, avocado, edamame, and pineapple. It was a very generous portion that included quite a bit of tasty chicken. Half of it is plenty, so we had it twice. My entrée was from the Chef's Special Roll menu - specifically #9, an irresistible named Kiss of Fire Roll ($17) with spicy tuna, avocado, jalapeno slices, seared salmon, spicy mayo and a crunchy topping. It was amazing -8 plump slices overflowing with tuna, salmon, spice, color and texture. What a feast. Our excellent dinner ran $48.31 after tax and before tip. read more

Overall wehad a great experience at Mizu 21. Our food came out rather quickly & everything was cooked perfectly. The food is always full of flavor and very well proportioned. Our waitress was very friendly and sweet. She smiled and carried on a nice conversation with us. The ambiance was nice. The decor emphasized natural materials which made for a serene & calm atmosphere. One downside was when the manager (I think, it wasn't our waitress) delivered one of the dishes he asked us to move our plates and hold our empty appetizer dishes so he could pour this dish onto a sizzling hot plate. It was rather inconsiderate as some of us had our food in front of us & when he was done he walked away - without taking the appetizer plates. If you have an entertaining delivery of a dish, bring over a side table or clear the table of extra dishes first. Other than that little inconvenience everything was terrific. read more

We decided to try a new Asian restaurant that opened recently in the town of Canton Connecticut called Mizu 21. Both the outside and the inside of this restaurant are stunning and incredibly impressive in their size, comfort, and appointments. At about 5:30 PM, and without a reservation, we were seated in about 15 minutes from our arrival. The restaurant was busy and there appeared to be ample staff taking care of the patrons, although we waited about 10 minutes before someone arrived to take our order. We decided to try some appetizers first and chose the chicken yakitori, boneless ribs, and pan fried Gyoza with pork. All three appeared quickly and were presented beautifully and were delicious. For entrées, we selected the Mongolian beef, crispy chicken with peanut sauce, and I chose the hibachi deluxe with steak, chicken, shrimp, lobster, fried rice, and grilled vegetables. The hibachi deluxe was fantastic, accompanied by dipping sauces that truly made the meal special. The steak, chicken, shrimp, and lobster were all grilled to perfection along with the vegetables that were a great accompaniment to the proteins. With the exception of waiting to have someone appear at our table, we highly rate this new restaurant for its fantastic food and great menu. All of this food, along with a bourbon, a Prosecco, a whiskey sour and diet Pepsi, with tip came to about $200 for three. We brought leftovers home! Worth another visit! read more

I honestly don't get the 5 star reviews. Perhaps for the decore . I love Sushi & any Asian food and would have it 3 times a day if I could. I've had Sushi all over Japan & where ever I travel to. We've been here 5 times. Each time the service is the rudest of any place I've ever been to. The food while ok- nothing special to write about . The portions of sushi & sashimi were very much on the small side and priced very much on the high side. Beware of hidden tacked on costs. Again, I understand they have a high rent bill and construction costs to cover . My main complaint is that each time we've been there the waitresses are just shockingly rude . I don't understand some of the negative reviews, especially during the earlier weeks of opening a new restaurant. Our party of four went there Friday night before Xmas eve. The service was excellent. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. If you're in to Sake, they have a decent selection and varieties to choose from. We ordered several appetizers to start with, such as the spicy edamame, calamari, shrimp tempura and boneless spare ribs. Every app was very delicious. For main courses, my sister inlaw ordered some type of sushi delight dish which had multiple types of sushi. The dish was so elegant and beautiful to look at. I got a couple small sushi rolls with spicy tuna and yellow fin tuna which were fine. Pretty basic. My brother inlaw had the General Tsao chicken which he said was very good, and my wife had a Kani salad and Tum Yum soup with shrimp. She was very pleased with her choices. I'll be truthful. When I read some of the negative reviews from previous weeks, I wasn't planning to visit this restaurant, but considering my wife and sister inlaw planned this dinner, I felt compelled to write a favorable review. When we went it was very busy. The staff was very friendly and accommodating considering we did NOT have reservations. The drinks (sake) were excellent and the food we had was very, very good. My friends wanted to try this new hibachi place in their area. This place is beautiful! Lots of parking. Clean bathrooms. We got a bunch of apps and we all got the filet mignon hibachi. The sushi, gyoza, and especially the Thai crispy chicken were all very good. My friend's boyfriend seemed to enjoy his Korean bbq short ribs. The hibachi was fun, just like any other hibachi. My friends all raved about the filet mignon, it really melted in my mouth! I had enough to take home for a second dinner which is the benefit of these types of restaurants. My friend got a margarita and said it wasn't very good, so I'd stick to sake, Sapporo, or a scorpion bowl if you want a drink here! Service was quick and efficient. We had a party of four at one of the Habachi tables on a Thursday night. It was pretty busy. We were seated promptly and Kelly came by to take our drink orders before we had a chance to figure out what we wanted, which was a good thing because the drink menu is extensive and she helped us make some decisions. Ended up with some sake, Sapporo and a slippery banana. I'm told the latter was very good, I didn't get to try it, which reinforces the fact. The Habachi chef was very talented and entertaining. The General Tso's Chicken was very lightly coated which at first showed promise thinking maybe it won't be too sticky sweet like other places but turned out to be hardly flavored so it didn't even taste like General Tso's. The Pad Thai Noodles were so lacking in any flavor that I pulled out the peanut sauce from my fridge to add it. The Harumaki spring rolls were not crispy on the outside and they were very mushy on the inside. I didn't even finish one because it was so unsatisfying and didn't want to waste calories on it. The food was so flavorless that I panicked thinking maybe I had covid again. But to rule that out I ate something else from my own kitchen and tasted everything just fine. Also, I'm appalled that this restaurant doesn't respect the character of our charming valley. Their horrible looking sign posts (both signs on uneven rusted out sign posts) out at the road are nothing short of blight. This was the second time eating at this restaurant. The ambiance and atmosphere of Mizu 21 is probably the best in the area. The decor fits perfectly and really is a vibe. We came during the daytime and I'm sure it's even more amazing at night. Plenty of parking and seating for dinning and hibachi. The hibachi dinner is mostly good. We had shrimp, salmon, chicken steak and scallops. Seasoning was decent for all the food. The rice was delicious. One thing that I'd note is the up charge for noodles where other places include them. Portion size is decent for the price and we had a party of six and I felt like we all got a good fill of food. I would be Interested to come again for hibachi. Mizu is outstanding. I went with my wife and our family for her birthday and enjoyed a Hibachi dinner. The chef was excellent--the filet, lobster, scallops are all fresh and delicious. The chef was funny and warm, serving us extra sake. The whole experience was comfortable and genuine. Side note, while I'm no expert, they have a nice bar with an excellent selection of drinks, including a long list of Sake--hot and cold. Their house Sake is really good and reasonably priced. Besides hibachi their other dishes are made with care. Their Thai chicken is excellent and their sushi is made professionally, and again, the ingredients are fresh and high quality. Overall just a great experience. It's usually packed on the weekend, but parking is never a problem. The staff is friendly and helpful. Everything is super clean and well maintained. So the food was totally fine, although the bottles of Sake' were 2x the cost of any nice sushi restaurant in a 20 mile radius. What really weirded me out was, there for a birthday, and the hibachi chef is known for making a bit off comments totally normal. But the entire time the hibachi chef was constantly like "moaning" at the women in our group and saying "oh baby open your mouth tastes so good" at a certain level it would be funny, but this was taken too far and just went on for way way too long. Making weird jokes about "baby oil" with an implication of something much less appropriate along with the constant moaning, and what would absolutely be sexual harassment in any other setting. I know it's hibachi, joke around light hearted but this just crossed the line incredibly and made everyone wildly uncomfortable. Skip getting charged 3-4x the price for the same hibachi style you can get anywhere and skip the harassment and save money. Super disappointed. read more

After reading a few negative reviews and mostly positive reviews we decided to give it a try last night. There is more than ample parking and we did not have a reservation for a Sunday evening at 6pm. We were immediately seated at a table and our server, Emily, introduced herself and took our drink order within a minute or two of us sitting down. The interior of the building was beautiful. A lot of time and money were spent creating an enjoyable atmosphere inside. All three of decided on chicken hibachi off the menu, and my grandson had the combo by adding salmon. The dinner included a soup and a small salad, both very good. Noodles were an additional $2, which he and I added to our order. As it turned out, I did not need to have ordered the noodles as when the food did arrive, the size of the rice ball was almost the size of a grapefruit. The chicken and vegetables were cooked perfectly and the portions were generous. All three of us took home half of the meal, which we enjoyed tonight. We are already planning our next visit within a week or two. We were all pleased with the food, service and atmosphere at Mizu 21. read more

Our family loves Hibachi and we have been to a bunch. Quality, portion size for value and showmanship is what I look for. Mizu 21 delivers on all of it. First, getting in the door was easy we made a reservation in advance the staff was friendly and we got sat for our time. The whole decor is very new and cool. The back hibachi area is very lively. I like how with their ordering you can do 3 combos like chicken, steak and shrimp. Lots of options and great kids hibachi options. The fried rice is very plentiful and they easily changed out the miso for hot and sour soup for me. Everything was spiced perfectly, steak done to how we asked and great portion sizes for someone who can eat. We'll be back and highly recommend. read more
