Ok! First, our waitresses were super friendly and kind when my friend and I walked in. We sat wherever we wanted and got great service and mimosas. They checked on us and our food came out great and as we ordered. Once we left, I realized that I had left my retainers in a napkin. I called right away and they had just taken the trash to the dumpster. So, Greg, Tracy and Laura went dumpster diving for my retainer!!!! I could cry! They found it for me and I have never been more thankful!!! They went above and beyond for me and I just love kind people so much! Tracy, Greg, and Laura deserve a raise and then some! Had to order delivery. I ordered the Frisco Burger with veggie patty and no bacon. The bread was under grilled and limp like old toast, no parmesan in site. The veggie patty also under grilled, barely cooked. There was no thousand island on burger, no taste to it, under cooked and it appeared it was microwaved to melt a thin piece of cheese on it. Soggy, wilted burger. Very disappointing. I couldn't take but a couple of bites. They obviously don't care someone was not happy with a to go order or they would've done it right to begin with. read more

Great coffee GREAT food. Good service Pretty dope nostalgic sound track. We both finished our plates completely! I order the Mediterranean omelette which was sooo amazing with a side of very fresh fruit. My date ordered the steak and eggs and devoured his massive plate! We also watched the waitresses make really genuine connections as new customers continued to come in. They serve beer (my initial assessment is that they could have a better beer assortment! but I won't knock them for that! ) The manager cooked up stuffed German pancakes for every table to try at the end of our meal. A few years ago when this place first opened my wife and I gave it a try. First visit was fine but the food was uninspired. There wasn't anything on the menu that I couldn't get somewhere else. The last time we went my pancakes tasted of onion. The waitress went on break and never returned to our table. After waiting Several minutes, I finally asked for the tab. Fast forward, we started hearing the food had improved. Today we decided to find out for ourselves. I must say the place was a mess! The dining chairs were showing signs of wear, which isn't all that bad, except they were dirty. The wall near the entry counter was black from having the mop run against it over the years. I usually gauge the cleanliness of a restaurant by the condition of the restrooms. The floor was damp and smelled of a sour mop. At the entrance to the mens room I found a large wooden patch in the floor. All surfaces hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. The light switches and door handles were gross. Putting aside my fears, we placed our food orders with a pleasant female server. Arriving shortly thereafter, we found our food as we last experienced it, dull and uninspired. I've been wanting to come here forever because of how well rated the place is. We came on Father's Day, there were tables and a couple of booths available. We asked for a booth for 2, couldn't even get seated because we had to wait for someone to clean the table. The booth we requested, the gentlemen left and all he had was a coffee. So we're kind of standing there, waiting for someone to simply wipe the table. The guy only had coffee. Then we had to wait for another 4 minutes until someone could wipe the table, where someone just had coffee. We were antsy at this point because how inefficient. You have bodies everywhere but no one can wipe down a table real quick, not even the host? I wouldn't say the menu is over priced, it's actually fairly priced. Everything we ordered was pretty regular, nothing special. The country fried steak wasn't bad, tastes like a good regular country fried steak. We ordered 1 regular and 1 decaf coffee, both were burnt.. yet we were having breakfast there at 9am. I liked that they have creamer and sugars at the table already cause flagging down a server can be little difficult. Coming here is as if you went to iHOP or Dennys, but cut the menu in half because the selections aren't plentiful whatsoever. Nothing special about the breakfast, please stop hyping this place up. LARGEST COCKROACH I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE. I went to this place for the first time a few weeks ago. They brought me a water and the cup was filthy. The waitress even noticed it right when she put it down so she brought me another one. Then, after I ordered my food I saw something out of the corner of my eye at the booth. Sunday morning breakfast was a little slow but super delicious. Mom had the Chorizo Quesadilla with some of the best salsa we've ever had. It was very tasty. I had the Mediterranean Omelette to which I added spinach. Sooooo delicious. The quinoa was a welcome and tasty side dish. I also had an English muffin with some very good berry jam! I have been to this restaurant a few times, it's OK....However, I went there with two friends on Monday. Not my choice, but OK. We sat down the waitress came right over and asked about drinks as she was putting the silverware down. She put each piece of silverware down by holding them by the eating part. Yes, you could actually see her fingerprint on the knifes. I asked for a cup of hot water for my drink. When she walked away, I told my friends not the use the silverware and why. They hadn't even notice. She brought our drinks and we ordered our food. Then we all dipped our silverware in the hot water and cleaned them up. Now my mother who was a waitress taught me at age 7 how to set a table and emphasised not to do it by the eating portion. When our sandwiches arrived, my two friends who had tuna melts showed me that the cheese that was supposed to be melted (hence tuna melt) was just placed on the bread. And that was $13.75. Family and I wound up here because another breakfast place had a hour wait. I was pleasantly surprised. It's a standard breakfast/lunch place. It was very clean and people at the front were "friendly". A couple of tvs were nice and the counter looked pretty big. The menu is standard fare. The huge pancakes are a welcome surprise. The french toast, omelettes, all good. We got their at 10am and it wasn't that crowded. We were seated right away in a nice booth(it did get crowded later on). Our server didn't look like she wanted to be there though. The coffee is bland and their version of a cappuccino is just regular coffee. Good thing there is a Starbucks in the same parking lot! I wasn't expecting anything at all from a little modest storefront, but I came inside and it was this big, beautiful, well-lit diner. It looks really classy, and they couldn't have been warmer when they greeted us and sat us right away, despite it being busy on a Monday, late morning. I ordered a skillet, and it was huge, looked great, and tasted even better. The waitress told me they were known for their pancakes, so I ordered a funky monkey (banana with chocolate chips). Stumbled on this place via yelp and decided to try it out. It's brand new and they were still hiring people and setting up the beer dispenser/billing panels as we sat there. The decor was fresh with excellent ambient light (sorry, i didn't take a picture). We were promptly sat by our hostess and drink order was taken. Upon bringing the coffee, she noticed there were some grounds on the edges so she apologized, took it back and made a fresh pot. She brought out our coffee soon after and took our orders, two- friends breakfast combo and one- order of french toast. Our food came out hot, correctly and perfect within 10 minutes. Food comments: French Toast had an excellent balance of batter to cinnamon ratio and the both varieties of eggs (over easy and poached) were perfect. Service was great as our coffee was topped off twice, server (Tingnd L.?) came to check in twice more in our 30 minute breakfast and even the manager stopped by. Something i'd like to note is the manager was publicly and brashly ordering staff at the front. I understand you're stressed trying to set things up but customers can hear you. Friends Cafe knows there way around a scramble!!! I couldn't think of a better intro to display my pleasure, maybe it's writers block or maybe there simply aren't words to describe how delicious the spinach Florentine truly is. This dish combines tomatoes, spinach, Swiss, and bacon that works on so many levels. Each bite was bursting with flavor, the tomato was in perfect unison with the cheese and the bacon. I was truly witnessing a pleasure symphony inside my mouth. As for the sides you get a few options but I decided to keep it simple and go with the hash browns and toast. This was a good call because even though these are traditional sides they were prepared to perfection and really ample in size. I went to this eatery 2 days in a row I was so impressed. I was skeptical about coming here because it seemed like another cheapy low quality breakfast cafe but I was so WRONG! Friends cafe quality is surprisingly good. Their menu is simple with lots of options for breakfast and lunch. We came on a Monday morning and it was not busy at all. Their pancakes are heaven! So fluffy and buttery and they make their own jelly preserves in house and it was so perfect (please consider selling it in a jar) The only thing I didn't like was that their coffee was warmand I like my coffee hot. The price is great and I would reccomend for families and big groups because there is a alot of space. I will be coming back again and again. So happy I gave this place a try. read more

I've been to Friend's Cafe a couple times for breakfast now. It's ok. First time in, I had corned beef hash and eggs - my go to breakfast. I recall that it was decent. On that visit, the service was a bit confused because they had just opened. Fast forward a few months and we went back for breakfast. I had a breakfast burrito this time. Hash and eggs were no longer on the menu. The burrito was large but mostly filled with potatoes. The salsa wasn't great. The rest of the family enjoyed their meals more than I did. My son liked the eggs Benedict. My wife enjoyed her healthy scramble. Other son liked the French toast, but they brought him an adult meal rather than the kid's meal he ordered. I guess service is still a bit confused. Oh well. It's a decent breakfast spot. Not too crowded. Passable food. Polite but not very efficient service. read more

I was really craving a sandwich so thought I would go across the street to Subway, but then I saw Friends Cafe. Yelp said they were closed but the sign said it was open so I thought I'd see. Turns out they just changed their hours to be open for dinner, and I went on the first day they made this change. No one was inside when I got there, I was greeted by everyone, and got to choose where to sit. My server was very friendly and attentive. Food came out in a decent amount of time. I got the turkey avocado sandwich with a side of coleslaw. It certainly hit the spot, while it was about double what a subway sandwich would have cost, it was about 6x better than it as well. My server even offered to give me an Iced Tea to go, which was awesome. Great food, great staff, will definitely be back! read more

Came here for breakfast and it was sooooo good. The pancakes are simply amazing, super big and made from scratch everyday! Their hash browns were also really good. These are items that show quality over boxed items. I love this new place and I will make sure to spread the great news! They also serve lunch and dinner and they are open Monday to Saturday from 7:30am to 9pm and on Sundays from 7:30am to 3pm. Must go new place! read more
