This appears to be a newer or remodeled location. Very nice decor, well lit, and very spacious. We been here for a few visits now and the food had been great each time. Service had been friendly and helpful. We especially love the breakfast buffet on the weekends!

Bland, nearly tasteless fish sandwich and onion rings. Won't make that mistake again.

Okay where do I even start because this is the best breakfast place in Ohio, if not the best…read morerestaurant period. The food at this place is insane, I've been many times and every time I eat here it just gets better and raises my standards for other restaurants. They have two full sides of menu, and there's not a single dud. Their burritos are flavorful and perfectly curated, their pancakes are sweet and huge, and their chicken makes me understand why people explode to 500 pounds. I could go on forever. The service in this establishment is so excellent. The waitresses are super kind and fun, as well as helpful. Art fills the walls creating a beautiful space that Is intensified by tasteful music picks. This place feels straight out of a movie. Every choice they make for their business is so wonderful and you can tell it's a real team effort. This is what Ohio is, this is culture and community, and this is the unity food should bring.

The Ugly Duckling was probably a one time visit for me. The atmosphere was great, and the service…read morewas friendly and attentive. You can tell they're aiming to put a unique twist on classic brunch dishes, which I can appreciate, even if it wasn't quite my style. I ordered the Gravy'd Cheddar Tots, and my friend ordered the Breakfast Burrito. While the food was well-prepared, I personally found the value a bit lacking for the price. The Gravy'd Cheddar Tots consisted mostly of tater tots topped with eggs, white cheddar, and gravy. I basically paid $16 for 2 eggs; I left more hungry leaving than I did coming in. I understand that their menu is designed to be creative and different from a traditional brunch spot, but I found myself missing some of the more classic breakfast elements. In the end, it just wasn't the right fit for my preferences, and I left wishing the meal had been a bit more filling.

I have been driving by BBC for ~one year. It was brunch time and I was hungry and decided to…read moredecided to visit. So glad I did ... it would be easy to become a regular if I lived 250 miles closer. The parking lot was crowded. Lots of people waiting for tables, but I found a seat at the counter. Service was friendly and instantaneous. My Reuben was perfectly grilled on a flat top and appropriately greasy. The corned beef was coarsely shredded and also grilled to perfection. Ditto the Swiss cheese. My only complaint? I like my sauerkraut to have serious tangy kick and this sauerkraut was Ohio-mild. The ambiance has a bit of a rural farmhouse vibe. The others seated at the counter were friendly and chatty. The dining room and restroom were both clean. Will I return? Yes!

Every time we visit, the food is always delicious and the coffee is always spot on. We always leave satisfied. Dishes that we've gotten that I can remember: cowboy bennys, pancakes (plain, chocolate chip and blueberry), omelets, French toast, & muffins. All very simple meals, but worth the trip. Customer service is 10/10. Everyone is so nice! There is ample parking. It is much better compared to their previous location, that's for sure. Things to note: the wait can be long! If you go early enough, go on a random day or call ahead to get on their wait list, then the wait won't be as long.

We also go the chorizo a la vodka which was 9/10 We lastly got the cheeseburger which was 7/10, good ingredients but have had better tasting burgers. Everything tasted fresh and was locally sourced. We would come back again!

There wasn't anything inherently wrong with our meal at Corner Kitchen but it was just mediocre…read more Perhaps part of the reason is that we went early to try out the Happy Hour they were promoting and we were the only people in the restaurant. The decor looked more drab and like a diner than I expected. I assumed it would be more like the other hip, upscale restaurants in the Oregon District. We started with cocktails, an espresso martini and an old fashioned, that were very good...my husband commented that it was one of the best old fashions he's had in a while. We then ordered 3 small plates from their Happy Hour menu to share. The shrimp and grits were tasty but only 2 shrimp, even for a small plate, seems skimpy. The charcuterie was some grilled bread, a very small amount of cheddar cheese and sliced salami, some jam, and "pickled vegetables" which were grated carrots and two slices of jalapeno in a condiment cup. The poutine was just odd. Instead of a beef gravy and cheese curds on top of fries, it was deconstructed: a bowl of gray mushroom gravy with a small pile of fries and fried cheese curds. Overall, it was a decent meal and the server was good, but I wouldn't choose it above any of the other restaurants in the area.
