Terrible experience with this dealership! The only helpful person at this dealership was the service manager Brian. My 2020 Ford which has a 6.7 Liter Diesel blew the fuel filter canister apart about five miles from this dealership. My truck was inoperable on the side of the interstate and was towed in. The problems started when this dealership told me they had no loaner cars available for me to use. Even though my truck was under warranty. I had to rent and pay $1,200 dollars for a rental because Ford and this dealership would have left me and my family stranded on the side of the road. In addition to this warranty the actual problem was Ford Motor Companies negligence in putting faulty poorly designed fuel filter canisters on these model Fords of which Ford is now being investigated for by the NTSHA. The service advisers at Front Royal Ford that I worked with had an, 'I don't care attitude.' I asked for the courtesy of my truck being ready for pick up in 8 days and I do not think this is totally unreasonable. The reason I asked for this courtesy is that I am not from the Front Royal area. I actually live five hours away so I requested that it be ready if possible, in eight days as I would be passing back through the area from TN. My truck went there on Friday 04/26/24 and I was told that they would get into the shop to look at on 04/29/24 to diagnose. When they did diagnose my truck on 04/30/24 they ordered parts. I kept calling and leaving messages trying to get an update with the courtesy of a call back from Laurel. When she did call me back 2-3 days later she told me a gasket was missing from the order and that it would not be ready for me to pick up on Friday 05/03/2024. Something did not seem right and this is when I started catching them in their lying. So unannounced I stopped by the dealership on Friday 05/03/24 on my way back from TN and I went out to the commercial truck shop to see my truck. The garage my truck was in looked like Goobers garage from Andy Griffith show. My $100K truck is in the shop with the windows left down and was full of dust with both batteries dead. My truck had been all pulled apart with accessories strewn all over the floor. This scene does not persuade me of their competence. I speak with the mechanic working on my truck and he informs me that the service advisers were lying to me and in fact the entire fuel system had to be replaced. Lots of red flags at this point when service advisers, and even the service manager had given me conflicting stories about the diagnosis. I finally get my vehicle back 12 days later. I had to take an entire day to drive back to Front Royal VA to pick it up and even more insult is that I do not get one penny reimbursement from Ford or this Front Royal dealership for my $1,200 dollar rental. I warn everyone to be weary of this dealership. Do not be fooled by the kind demeanor that this sales staff puts on. My parents are Residents of Front Royal. They went into this dealership to look at Bronco inventory. They were shown a 2024 Wild Track that the dealer was looking to move because it was a slow Memorial Day. My parents are typically very savvy. The dealer claimed that they were selling the vehicle at their cost. Here's the thing, they had it on Car Gurus advertised for $4k cheaper than my unsuspecting parents paid for the car. I get that the buyer needs to be on their toes, but this dealership has no problem soaking an elderly couple looking to pay cash for a car. I made my parents aware of this and they were legitimately mad and felt taken advantage of. But when they confronted the dealership it was tough cookies. That is the dealers right, but anyone that is willing to blatantly take advantage of a couple of 70 year olds deserves to be out of business. Take your chances with them if you would like, but they did this to a local buyer that was wiling to pre-purchase their maintenance and buy a 100k warranty. Just soaked them. Communication about what it might need to pass a inspection or things they just happen to see if there doing a routine inspection during a service is so welcomed. Honestly its a weekend fun vehicle that i need to be safe and functional an if/when i need help on something i cant do myself i bring it in. After the positive experience I've had with this team with my Bronco 2 an also my wifes Edge for a few years, i will absolutely bring my business here for a future purchase. First, I was there for over 3 hours then I was presented with cost of the car and fees. 1000 dollars for the cost and a few other charges like a GPS which I wanted. signed the paper. 15 mins later the manager comes up to me with all new charges and it was lower, and everything was supposed to be at a 48-month contract, so I signed that paper. sat there for over 1.5 hours waiting to get to the finance department and go in there and she says sign here initial here this is what this is and never goes over anything. well come to find out after I left, they got me for 60 months no GPS and an interest rate of 22.50 on a car of $9,800 after a 3000 dollar down payment. So now I'm stuck making a $299.69 totaling $17981.40 for the next five years. I am so beyond mad about this. They only care about making a dollar and their extra money for selling a car. this is my daughters first car and this is a scam. they throw numbers at you confusing the customer and lying to their customers. the finance lady didn't go into details about any of the paperwork I was in her office less than five mins. A+ experience with Front Royal Ford!!! I have been on the hunt for an elusive 2022 Ford Bronco for several months. I found several, but they were all ridiculously priced $20,000+ over MSRP. A few weeks ago I found one on Front Royal Ford's website, and although they were asking over MSRP, it wasn't by a ridiculous amount. I live in Kansas City, Front Royal is in Virginia, but I reached out to start negotiations. My salesperson was Troy Loar. Troy and I went back and forth for a few days via email and hammered out a deal. Troy was incredibly response, and a pleasure to work with. Once the deal was done, my husband and I flew out to VA to pick up the Brono to drive it back to KC. We arrived at the dealership on a Wednesday morning at 9 AM. Troy had EVERYTHING ready to go, we signed a few papers, put on the temp tag, handed over a cashiers check and were out the door in about 45 minutes. Who doesn't hate going to a car dealer? I was not looking forward to it when I wanted a new Ford truck, but I called back in at this place when I found one I wanted online. Salesman Troy answered the phone, confirmed they had it on the lot, and volunteered to pull it out front so I could see it when I stopped by a few minutes later. Unfortunately, the sucker had a snow plow affixed to the front, which I did not see on the ad and did not want on my truck. He spoke to the mamager, and was told they could take it off of this new fleet truck for a few hundred$. I took it out anyhow, liked it and we went back with Troy to see what we could do. They ended up taking off the plow, and reducing the price by the cost of the plow with no upcharge for the removal. Closing the deal with Troy, assisted quite helpfully by the manager, was easy and quick, and priced fairly for a vehicle that's very difficult to find anywhere. Parts and service were both helpful and easy getting a few accessories, and finance/documentation was very easy with extras offered persuasively with absolutely no pressure. Really enjoyable. Still can hardly believe it. Troy and other staff assisted getting the FordPass app on my phone (we'll see if I keep that) after the deal had closed and I was back to pick up the truck. Feb 2024: Hey, I wanted to give you another update. My transmission is now done. Front Royal Ford never even called me back. I'm not the type to go after someone but the little guys coming after you front Royal Ford. *****final update****12.30.2023 My truck is finally fixed. Over 4,000 dollars later, rental cars, lost time for work. Y'all ready to hear what it was? Was it the TCM? It was not. Turns out it was a damaged transmission harness range sensor. Just think if someone would have just done an in-depth visual inspection that could have been found back on 11.28.-11.29.2023. I reached out to the number provided and they said they would get back to me, it's been weeks, no return call, no apology, nothing. I realize there isn't much I can probably do but I'm only going to get louder about this. I want some form of financial reimbursement. I'm taking this to the next level if you all don't return my call. ****update**** 12.28.2023**** My truck is still not fixed. I responded to their request to call them. They said, "I will call you back" but never called me back. I had another mechanic replace the TCM. That was not the issue. Front Royal Ford misdiagnosed the issue. Mind you I paid for that misdiagnosis. The mechanic is still trying to figure out what Front Royal Ford did. Y'all have made my life extremely difficult. I've lost thousands of dollars because of this. I just want my money back. I've waited some time to leave this review but I felt now was the time. I've calmed down and thought about it. . On 11/14/2023 the following was done on my truck 1. Oil change 2. Transmission flush 3. Replacement of o2 sensor 4. Replacement of LF inner and outer toe rods 5. Front brake pads and resurfaced rotors 6. Replacement of rear brake pads. 7. GDI induction service 8. Brake flush 9. Replacement of engine air filter All this was completed without speaking with me about what the total cost would be. It was a wapping $3,037.13 I asked for an oil change and trans flush. Looking back on my 7-hour day sitting and walking around as I waited for Ford to complete the service, I guess I should have taken the time to ask what all they were doing. I guess I had too much trust. When they finally called me up and gave me the total due it was a gut check. What was I supposed to do? They did the work so I had to pay. Here's where the issues begin: I drove the truck for 2 weeks and it ran great, with no problems. Yeah I was 3k in the hole but hey I have a job and a working truck. 2 weeks to the day the truck completely shut down, all the warning lights were on and it would not turn over. I had it towed back to Ford. 24 hrs later they diagnosed the issue as a bad TCM (transmission control module) They said it would be $800+ to fix and the part is out of stock so no eta to fix. I was pretty calm about this and asked, "I mean I paid 3k for work and then 2 weeks later this happens". I'll never forget the guy's response, "Well it has 190k miles on it, what did you expect." ‍‍‍. Of course, nothing they did had anything to do with the TCM going bad literally 2 weeks after the extensive service was done. It gets better, then they charged me $160.00 for a diagnostic to determine the TCM. Then held my truck "hostage" until I paid that. I WILL NEVER take my vehicle here ever again. Thank goodness for local reasonable and honest mechanics. Yes the TCM is on back order and a lot of fords are down right now. I don't fault any mechanic for that but come on Front Royal Ford, when someone spends that kind of money at least provide a little better customer service or stand behind your work. If it were possible to sue these folks I would. Did I mention I've lost all trust in Ford dealerships? This experience has caused me to never want to take my truck to any Ford dealership. End of the day, you got me Front Royal Ford but I learned a valuable lesson. read more

They did warranty work on my son's car they had it for over a week plus, he got it back and it had a leak it never had before he took his car there. So they did more work and had it put on warranty and my son had a deductible to pay plus additional fees. No problem. Big problem.....They did not provide a loner vehicle and my grandchildren are in after school sports and other activities in a family where both parents work. Many people assisted in getting the children to and from activities. The negligence of this Ford dealership in not providing a decent customer based support needs to have Ford Corporate look at all the negative reviews. The best part is they held the car hostage when it was finished and would not let my son pick up his vehicle until the warranty company paid! Unbelievable. I have tried twice in the last few months to get an estimate for some needed work on my vehicle which I know will be over a thousand dollars. I wish I could give less than 1 star. My husband purchased a truck on 2/22/24 they delivered the truck up to him in New York. It showed up with a check engine light on, so before signing the papers he called the sales manger. He said hang on let me walk over to the shop manager. He heard in the background "oh it came back on" and then tells him they would take care of the cost bring it to your local dealer. Truck has been at the dealer in New York since 2/23/24, and my husband has still have not received a call back from management, he calls everyday and they claim the manager is on a conference call or he's with a customer or he's at auction just completely avoiding my husbands calls. This is just completely upsetting that a dealer would do this! So now we are stuck paying out of pocket for a truck that he has yet to put any miles on!!! My husband and I went to see a car, we wanted the price of the car, tried to negotiate and its understandable that some times prices won't go down, however the guy that helped us, was very RUDE, he didn't even let us talk, ask questions or give our opinion. I think that as costumers we have the right to make sure what we are getting into before signing the final step. He was full of tattoos white guy named (Jared) was a total asshole to us. was very upset when we asked questions regarding the price, he stated this is my job and I know 100% what I'm doing when we asked about some numbers, he didn't even ask his manager or superior for opinion, he was making just his own decisions. He was very racist and didn't treat us right. He was trying to act like if we were stupid or something. very unprofessional. we went to another dealer and it was a whole different story, the guy took the time to explain without being so upset and he didn't act like a smart ass, really knew what he was doing even the manager came in a professional manner. I feel that when someone gives you a good vibe, works with the client trying to explain without being so nasty people would definitely consider purchasing or having a deal. definitely not with someone aggressive that has no professionalism or experience. Do not trust anything this dealership tells you. They assured me that I had an X-M radio in the Ford Escpae I was considering and there was even a radio id number in the owner documents. Not having X-M radio would have been a deal breaker for me and I would have looked at other cars. After buying the car and calling to have the radio activated I found I did not have X-M. Shenandoah Ford's solution was to have Best Buy install their cheapest radio where I would have wires exposed and it would have tied up the cigarette lighter receptacle. The radio would be taped to the dashboard. I chose to pass. I will never do business with the dealership again. read more

The sales tactics used by all these options had me ready to give up my search. I came across another potential truck candidate at Front Royal Ford. Based on some online reviews, I was reluctant but thought I'd try one more shop. I am so glad I did. Everyone I worked with at the facility was pleasant, honest and respectful of my time. No hidden charges, no last minute changes and no games. A straight forward and easy process from start to finish. I couldn't be a more satisfied customer. My husband and I bought a certified used 2019 Lincoln with 5k miles on it a week prior to coming to this dealership. It was in absolute perfect condition, other than needing a new rim due to some slight wheel rash. The Lincoln dealership sent us a new rim and told us we could go to any Ford Dealership close to home and have it put on. We made an appointment at Front Royal Ford. When we arrived at 8am there were two service workers in the parking lot that instantly started staring at the car. They asked me if they could see inside and I said no problem. They complimented the vehicle and I said thank you. I was a little nervous because they were hovering around it and I knew they'd probably mess with it a bit once it was in the shop. Regardless, I didn't listen to my gut. It was a simple job, what could go wrong. Two hours later I called and asked for a status. The person I spoke to said it was delayed due to an issue with their tire machine. Three hours later I got a call that it was done. When we arrived to pick it up, the same guys that were hovering around it earlier teased me that they just couldn't help it and had to test drive the vehicle for awhile. At the time, I just laughed it off as a joke. I checked the rim as well as I could since it was parked closely in-between two other vehicles and paid for the service. We leave and I notice on the drive home that all my settings are messed up. Even the moon roof is open. I pull into our driveway and get out for a closer inspection. I walked around to the passengers side and I instantly see a very noticeable ding over the rear tire. I had inspected this car with a fine tooth comb before purchasing. Plus I had washed and waxed the car a day beforehand. I pulled up all the pictures I had taken after purchasing and right before taking it into the dealership to confirm the damage had not been there. Front Royal Ford had definitely dinged my new car. We decide to just drive back over there since they'll need to inspect the damage anyway. When we get there, we are directed to the assistant service manager, Mike Seal. Let's just say he was less than enthusiastic about dealing with us and our situation. We show him the before pictures. He takes a few pictures with his phone and says, "Well, it's going to be up to Bryan Anders, the service manager, on what he wants to do". Mr. Seal tells us we may hear from him that afternoon or the next day. Noticing that he seemed to be blowing us off, I offer to provide him with a before picture and the purchase order as proof that we had just bought it. The afternoon went by with no calls from Bryan Anders. The next day I had to be in Front Royal in the morning, so we just decide to go by there again. Bryan comes out and assesses the damage. He then gives us a long winded story how it's not worth fixing due to our difficult paint color. After he attempted to try to convince us that the damage wasn't done in their garage, but rather by a stone. He states that all their body shop can do is a patch job and no where else in the area will tell us any different. In addition, he offered to submit a warranty request with Lincoln to essentially avoid admitting it was the service departments fault. Luckily, I was able to make an appointment with a very reputable body shop to see what opinion they had. Needless to say after their inspection, Front Royal Ford has cost us over $1200 in damage. It can easily be fully repaired properly with the correct paint tint/fading and not just a patch job as we were made to believe. Also, it was with their years of experience/opinion with the look of the damage and location, it was definitely not caused by a stone. A few years back our family had a bad experience with their sales department. Hesitating, we decided to try their service department thinking they may be different. We made a very costly mistake that we will never make again. read more

I brought my 2017 F-150 in for a schedule oil change. I made a comment that the alignment has been off since purchase, but I just hadn't had time to get it completed. The service manager came back and told me there was wear on my tires and I needed an alignment. I expected the alignment to get completed since it was like this since purchase, but I was told no, I had to pay. They did a "four wheel alignment", but after receiving the before and after alignment sheet, it showed they corrected the toe on one wheel and left everything else as is. One of the other wheels was right on the limit, but they didn't bother to get it more to the center. After completion of the work, I asked the service manager where the tire wear was and he tap-danced and BS'd me. Why? There was no wear. Lazy, Flim-flam BS from these guys to have you pay for work they DON'T do. I'll never return. read more

We were shopping for a used car and were pleased to have finally found the perfect one at a fair price. The processing fees were relatively low compared to other dealers, which saved me about a grand. Although the list price was the most competitive one on the market they were still willing to come down a bit to make the sale. Need I mention everyone was pleasant and friendly. Not your stereotypical carsalesman. Oh and we brought our one year old and were planning on it being a little chaotic with him in tow but low and behold they had a small area with toys and crayons just for kids and also a very nice changing station in the women's bathroom. Front Royal Ford had the exact truck I was looking for, an F-250 4x4. Better yet, it was nearly new with every whistle I wanted. I was very pleased with the truck, price and salesperson, Tyler. Much of my positive experience was because Tyler took me seriously as a buyer. He treated me well, answered all my questions and followed up. (A dealership near my home in New England couldn't be bothered. Except that I'm no Julia Roberts, it was like that scene on Rodeo Dr. in Pretty Woman). Although I was ready to make this major purchase I still wanted to view my options. Tyler took me for test drives in other vehicles on the lot and compared all the costs. He didn't flinch when I also checked the Chevys. I was looking at trucks in North Carolina, too. During the days it took me to make up my mind, Tyler stayed in personal contact (not automatic emails) . When I made the purchase I was in NC. Tyler and I had some crossed connections because I was trying to complete the sale while making the long drive home. Tyler stayed patient, which was helpful. A minor blip, probably from delayed mail, caused me to get more irritated than I should have with sales manager Tony. He, too, treated me well. In all of our conversations, Tony was calm, professional and reviewed all the details. Once the sale was final, getting the truck home looked bleak because COVID restrictions in my state tightened. Tony did a remarkable job of not only working out delivery, but accomplished it sooner than I imagined was possible. Bottom line, I love, love, love this truck. Horrible, horrible people. Last Saturday, I took my daughter there to look at a used Jeep and the salesman (Kyle) crashed the car into my parked vehicle because he didn't know how to operate a manual transmission. The incident was witnessed by several employees, only one of whom was genuinely helpful and concerned (Trevor, the Sales Manager). The other sales MEN came over and were condescending and rude to my daughter and I, telling me to go get three estimates, and they would "take care of it". I thought one of them was going to call me "little lady" and pat me on my head. I have spent countless hours dealing with my insurance company to get my car repaired. I have had to miss time from work dealing with estimates and such. The service department and customer service have no "clue" what customer service is about. My Vehicle was Scheduled for service when I returned to pick up my vehicle I was told that they couldn't finish it in time and I would have to come back. When I talked to someone in customers service they apologized and said that should not have happened. I asked what could be dome to make amends because I work and have to make arrangements for time off or drop off early and get a loaner. I was told No Loaners were available and the best she could do was give me 10% discount. I found a much better solution at a much better service garage and $200.00 less expensive than the quote I rec'd from Shenandoah Ford.(including the discount) I would suggest going to Marshall Leckner Ford. read more

Decided it was time to purchase a new hunting truck my Silverado had called it quits on me by throwing a rod the prior week. I started my truck search in Tysons and was immediately confronted with double talking sales folks who didn't have a clue. Remembering that I purchased our Tahoe from Shenandoah GMC in Front royal we decided to check out Front royal ford next door. Car Gurus had several vehicles that were listed by Front Royal Ford, I found the one I wanted and made an appointment. Upon arrival the sales staff and everyone there was great. Bottomline, I got the truck and financing I wanted below what I expected to pay. If you want great experience and a truck at the right price you can't be this place. I had a fast leak in one of my tires. I got lucky because there was this Ford Dealership right next to my hotel. I filled the tire with air at a gas station as much as I could and headed straight to the dealership thinking they won't want to help me, I own a Toyota. In addition it was only about 30 min before they were going to close. To my surprise, they did the intake and took my car to the bays. Within 30 minutes - it was ready. The very nice and professional woman who did my intake showed me the sharp metal piece that had been embedded into my tire. Check out was swift and I just cannot thank them enough. I was in Port Royal, VA. I am very grateful for their help at the last minute. If I had not had the excellent service at the Ford Dealership in Port Royal, my tire would have gone completely flat and only the rim would be holding the car up. I needed to be back to NoVA the very next morning and clearly I could not risk gettin on highway 66 east. Again, big thanks for their entire team. read more

Sucked. We were lied to. Took the car on at 8:30 am for an inspection. Was told it would be 2 1/2 hours. Came back 4 hours later and it hadn't been taken care of. In another incident, I made an appointment for 9:00, but when I came to drop it off, they had the appointment listed as 11:00. Both times, I had somewhere to be based on when the appointment was done. I don't mind the wait, I don't like being misled. read more

I have taken 2 cars in for repair and 1 for a diagnostic. They charged $180 for the diagnosis that turned out to be completely wrong. One of the repairs they couldn't make and quoted me an outrageous amount for a head replacement, the other repair quote was for some suspension work. That quote was for $1100, but I was able to do it in the driveway in 2 hours with basic tools and YouTube videos. They have cost me hundreds in these horrible diagnostics and now I just use economy auto repair in town. read more

I have an F250 diesel, the 1st time in there were some timing hiccups, but the service manager ensured I had a loaner, got the truck repaired, I couldn't have been happier.... Now every time I call I get put off (as in the date they give means they have my truck over the weekend) and do not seem that interested in helping me maintain my truck. Very frustrating, I am sure their diesel repair guy is competent, just can't get to the repair... read more
