A5 Wagyu Smash Burgers? Sign me up everyday of the week!…read more We were staying in the West Side of the island, and saw this place pop up on Yelp and knew I had to give it a try. I went all in and went with the 3x3 which in hindsight was way more than I needed. The meat is rich which means a single or 2x2 is all you need. The crisp on the smash was perfection and the bun was pillowy soft. The sauce complimented everything well. My only regret was not asking if they had Serrano peppers before I ordered bc that would've added a whole other level to an already amazing burger. $30 well spent. If you just look at the menu, you might have sticker shock, but they are using A5 meat for the burgers which is why its higher priced. Compare it to most food in the area, everything is overpriced bc it's touristy, at least at Swagyu you get a quality tasting meal. Worth every dime in my opinion. They have locations in San Diego as well, and all I could think of is how much money I'd spend if they had a spot up in the Bay. Smash burgers done right is so hard to find, if they had one in the Bay I'd be a regular here for sure.

Their classic burger, the cheese katsu, the western - all of them did not disappoint, and the staff were super friendly and the restaurant allowed for a great atmosphere and space to enjoy my food. Seriously recommend anyone looking to try some of the best quality burgers on Maui to visit Swagyu at least once and have their burgers change your life (you can even add and combine things together, like have the cheese katsu added with any of their burgers) - Miguel Morales Photography

We booked our stay through Costco, which included a $60 daily breakfast credit, and Ulu Kitchen quickly became one of our favorite parts of the trip. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with incredible ocean views that make breakfast feel extra special. The food was excellent, and everything we ordered was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Our favorite was the blueberry and lilikoi flapjacks and the classic breakfast. The staff were also incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The combination of the gorgeous setting, delicious food, and wonderful service made Ulu Kitchen a highlight of our stay. We would absolutely recommend it and will definitely be back the next time we're in Maui!

We have been to many or his other restaurants and love them so thought we would give it a try. It was located right by the beach and the island vibe was prevalent! I was not that hungry but we ordered some gyoza for an appetizer which was delicious and my wife ordered a burger and since I was not that hungry, I thought I would go straight for desert! I ordered their ice cream sandwich-thinking it would be a small cool desert for the island evening. However, I was pleasantly surprised-it was extra large! Feel free to refer to my picture in the review but it was delicious, one of the best I have ever had! My wife enjoyed the burger as well. Service was fantastic! We think we found another great spot to dine at in Maui!

Restaurant opened promptly at 10am, guest slowly made their way in took us about 15min to place our order. Food: Apple Handheld Pie - size was about 3-4" long and 2" wide. Crust was okay somewhat flaky and fairly tender. Bake was a light golden color could have been baked a touch more. Apples were nice and chunky with sweet cinnamon sugar filling, good filling to crust ratio. Pie was covered in a confections sugar glaze which made it a bit sticky to eat, felt unnecessary for a handheld pie, overall okay. Service was quick order at the counter and staff packs your order, we grabbed our to go. Interior had about 15-20 tables l, self serve water and utensil station if you wanted to dine in. Overall seems like a convenient stop midway to Lahaina if you are looking for a sweet treat, wouldn't wait too long or go out of your way to visit but worth a try if you are in the area.

My husband and I had the carne asada arepa on our first visit, and today I tried the Pabellón Arepa with shredded beef, black beans, sweet plantains, and cheese. They also offer a house-made chimichurri that takes the flavor to another level. Let me just say--this place puts love into every dish they make. The portions are generous, the prices are very reasonable, and every visit was met with warm, friendly customer service. To finish our meal, my daughter and I shared the coconut and mango slushies, which are made with natural ingredients and were incredibly refreshing. As someone who is Hispanic and pretty picky when it comes to authentic Latin food, I can honestly say this exceeded my expectations. The food is authentic, fresh, and full of flavor. The restaurant also has a charming atmosphere with Venezuelan memorabilia that gives it a warm, welcoming vibe. If you're looking for high-quality Latin food made with care, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won't be disappointed! We will def be back at our next trip - didn't get to try the arepa with chicken, avocado and green salsa. Mahalo Miss Arepa!
