When I picked up my order I asked for just a side scoop of ricotta cheese and explained why. The young girl at the register didn't know what to do. Finally they get the manager or whoever was in charge this day and he told her to charge me $2.00. I told the manager that I asked for no ricotta cheese in the calzone but just on the side and explained again to him. He simply walked away! I was like you are charging me $2.00 for a tiny scoop of ricotta cheese when it wasn't in the calzone??? I did not ask for "extra" ricotta cheese. If I did, then the extra charge is justifiable. The calzone and the other items I ordered were very good but I have to say, it put a very bad taste in my mouth. I apologized to the two girls at the register that I would have preferred to have put that $2.00 in the tip jug but was so angry. I know it was not their fault but I said it loud enough hoping the manager heard me. I'm not sure if I will go back there and find it funny over a scoop of ricotta but it's just the principle of the situation.

The dining room is small but comfortable, with the back wall being brick and the entrance to the kitchen being on the side. The leftmost wall is white with horizontal wood panels making up the bottom half. Framed pictures of pizza adorn the kitchen entrance's wall and a mock window display holding large cans of tomato sauce can be seen in the back. The room is also illuminated by string lights and a chandelier as well. Finally, a window at the front of the room has a stained glass art of the Luigi's logo. Not sure if there was a miscommunication , but our server thought we ordered the XL Whole Special pizza, which has sausage, peppers, onion, pepperoni, meatballs and mushrooms. We had actually ordered the XL Whole Veggie pizza, which has spinach, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, broccoli, and eggplant. She was really apologetic and had a small Veggie pizza made for us on the house. Hubs was worried that it was going to come out of her pocket, so he left her enough to pay for the small veggie pizza. I'm glad we accidentally got the Special because it was delicious and my favorite of the two. Daughter and hubs liked the veggie pizza better, though. They were busy but friendly and helped me right away. This place is clean and they take pride in making it a local place to come, sit and enjoy a meal. I ordered two plain slices and received them piping hot from a pie they took out of the oven upon my arrival. Unfortunately, the outer crust was the best part of the slice. It has a great pizza dough flavor and is both crispy and moist. The slices looked absolutely delicious but sometimes looks dont match the taste. And that is the case here. The sauce is tangy but lacks flavor beyond the tangy tomato taste. I am relatively certain that there is very little Italian seasonings utilized if any. The mozzarella is premium but without seasoning, it lacks punch. The biggest problem here is the slices are limp. They use a lot of sauce which is definitely preferable. But when you combine heavy sauce with a limp undercarriage, it adds up to a sloppy mess. The cheese slides right off and its extremely difficult to stay clean while eating. It was all over my hands and sadly stained my shirt as well. Overall Rating: C
