This is one example of how bad they suck. You pay 2.35 hours of a counter agent's wages for each checked bag. But no agents ever are available until 2h prior to the flight. 55 of us are now in line and zero people to help us. I called up customer service and waited for over an hour to get assistance.but really no clear instructions nor any compensation for passengers that missed a connecting flight due to frontier airlines fault . CHEAP FLIGHT COST ME HUGE! My flight was scheduled for 7AM. They canceled the flight at 2:45AM on the same day. Nothing like waking up to a canceled flight. Both trips I took this summer from Orlando International on Frontier were a nightmare. We went with the cheapest airline and it showed. On our first trip from Orlando to Nashville we had a two hour delay. When the plane was boarded the captain came over the intercom. You know the typical pilot voice. Calm, collective, telling us about the weather and flight time. I can't even properly explain how he sounded other than he could care less. He informed to tell us one of the engines was not working, but we didn't need it anyway. Yes you read that correctly. The flight staff was for lack of better terms ghetto. One flight attendant got on the intercom and in the most degrading tone stated "when the seatbelt sign is on that means buckle your seatbelt and when it's off you can unbuckle it. He literally talked to us like we were children. Thankfully we landed safely, but I've never experienced any flight like this. Safety and politeness is not their first priority. We than had a FIFTEEN HOUR delay on our flight home and were told not to leave the airport Incase the flight came in early. Apparently our place had maintenance issues and they had to fly another plan in from Phoenix. They did offer food vouchers around 8pm after most of us had already ate dinner so the majority used those vouchers on beer. Who could blame them. Just a mess. They did refund our segment home which against my better judgement used for a trip to New Orleans and that's a whole other nightmare. Piece of advice fly Allegiant. On a recent trip from Trenton to Nashville, shortly after lift-off we heard staff announce, "Ladies & gentleman, what you are experiencing is turbulence. Flying out of Nashville International Airport (BNA) after Yelp Spring Break 2014 on Frontier Airlines was about as schizoid an experience as air travel can get. I arrived waaaaay early for my flight, but I needed to check 1 bag & print a boarding pass. The system of organization at the Frontier Airlines counter was a total sh!tshow. To check a bag, there were 2 lines. 1 for passengers who had already checked into their flights & 1 for everyone else. My reservations had been made well in advance. My seats already assigned. I had checked into my flight the day before, but didn't have access to a printer so no boarding pass. What that ultimately meant was that I got relegated to the line for everyone else. Lovely, I got to wait in the same line as people who didn't even have tickets. Being able to print a boarding pass was the line of demarcation. The moral of the story: being mostly prepared was as equally worthless as being completely unprepared as far as Frontier Airlines was concerned. Add to that, there were only a couple agents working the counter & 1 of their very few kiosks was out of order. Like I said, total sh!tshow. Even as I was standing there waiting & waiting, I already began constructing their 1 star Yelp review in my head... So, why 3 stars? The flight itself was awesome. The flight crew was frikkin' hilarious & made every single mundane aspect of flying entertaining. & the pilot absolutely stuck the landing. It was like gently laying a feather on top of a pillow. For as incredibly annoyed as I was when I boarded the plane, I felt pretty OK by the time I disembarked. Frontier Airlines' counter at BNA may have been 1 star, but that flight was 5 stars. 3 stars overall & it was good to be home. read more

Flights are cheap but space is tight. Not comfortable for long flights but okay for quick trips. I would imagine if I were larger than a size 6 I'd be extremely uncomfortable on their planes. There are no complimentary services with frontier. Bring your own snacks and drinks. The planes are very basic. Customer service was good. I would only fly with them again on short trips where I don't need to pack much and because if you book ahead the flights are extremely cheap. I give two stars because three to me is average. Frontier has lost me as a customer. Forever. Today I tried to leave BNA airport on a trip to SFO with a layover in DEN. The layover was 14 hours, but couldn't beat the price. BNA Airport is a relatively small airport and so it takes only 15 minutes to get through security. My flight also departed at 6:10am on a Wednesday so early enough to avoid most crowds. Apparently they can't afford to have a person at the check-in counter and at the gate. So, myself and another customer ran around the airport for a half an hour attempting to contact that gate. We spoke to the TSA, the information desk (unoccupied), airport police, other airlines, and no one could help us. In fact, the airlines closest to Frontier seemed agitated to even discuss Frontier. Finally, a lady came to the front counter and informed myself and the other customer that because we were not there 45 minutes before the flight departure we were late and out of luck. The flight departed at 6:10am. I arrived 5:30am... When I got there, the other customer said he was there at 5:20am and had been looking for someone. The employee at the counter was a bit rude, and so we asked for the manager. It took almost an hour to get a manager who was even more rude. While waiting on this manager, I called their customer service. I tried to have my flight changed but they refused to wave $119 fee for changing flights. Plus, the earliest flight was the next day. The lady on the phone had a bit of an attitude and so again I asked for her supervisor. The supervisor simply echoed the same message and was again more rude. Finally I asked for her manager and she stated they don't arrive at work until 8amMDT. So apparently if you're in NY you have to wait until 10am for service. During the entire debacle I stayed calm and polite. The other customer was a little upset but reasonably so. In the end, lesson learned. You get what you pay for. I immediately went over to Priceline and got a same day deal with United Airlines for a little more than my flight plus the fee I would've paid. The flight leaves later in the day and arrives at the finally destination earlier so I essentially paid a little extra to save time. My apologies for the long review, but I felt obligated to share this horrific experience to hopefully save others the hassle I had went through. We knew it was a Cheap Flight, But we decided to Upgrade for more leg room and bigger seats which was a waste of money!!! We were in the 1st row and maybe only a few more inches and the seats were same size as the rest of plane. I had to call them to actually pay for the upgrade because their online system wasn't taking my card but sure went thru over the phone. and the rep said "oh so you picked the 1st class seats" I was yeah that's what we want. I don't think they even know what the word means (1st class) We had same size seats, maybe 3 inches more leg room and were loaded LAST!! I was lucky to have the window seat my Husband had to stare at the flight attendants the whole trip because of the plastic window on the divider so they could see out into the plane, and when he didn't have his ear buds in he could hear them talking about the passengers and not all of it was nice. People who are complaining really don't do their homework. You know what you are going to get with the price you paid for. You can't expect VIP treatment with $15 airfares. That's like paying for a motel and complain that they don't have a 24 hour butler at your service. This is my favorite budget airline. Never had a problem, flight attendants and ground crews are always nice. Always on time. Do your homework and pay for your bags ahead of time, pack your own snacks or just pay fo it on board very reasonable price. This was my first time flying with Frontier Airlines and it wasn't bad. The tickets are cheap, the flight was smooth, and the flight attendees were nice. I booked my flight online, and purchased The Works bundle for my carry on and checked bag, so I didn't have to deal with the hassle of going through checking in. I hate checking in at any airline to be honest. On the flight, you had to pay for drinks or snacks, but I just brought a snack in my purse and filled my bottle with water after my security check-in. I would fly with them again. The seats weren't lazy-boy comfort, but they were okay for a non-stop flight. There's tons of bad reviews on here, but it's not that bad. Just buy your bags on the Frontier website, print out your boarding pass from the website the day before, bring a snack and a water bottle, you'll be fine and hundreds dollars richer. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. Last time I flew Frontier they BROKE MY SNOWBOARD and only offered $100 compensation. I'm an idiot for giving them a second chance. This time, Shannon in Nashville was so rude at check-in she actually made me cry. I'm flying with a toddler and will be away from my husband for an extended period of time, but Shannon delighted in denying him a guest pass for the terminal - which we've gotten for him on every other airline I've flown on solo with our daughter. She also wanted to CHARGE me to carry-on my daughter's DIAPER BAG and actually made me open it up and show her there were diapers in it. Charging to pre-reserve a seat is a horrendous policy. Because my daughter will be on my lap, I need an aisle and was forced to pay for the seat on each leg of my connecting flight. Their justification for all the nickel and diming is that that's how they can offer low fares, but the kicker is that after I booked this flight, I found a ticket on United that would have actually been cheaper. We arrived at our destination only to find that our stroller was broken to the point we could no longer snap our car seat in. We had this stroller for 4 months and now it is ruin beyond use. Of course I called to let them know, they told me to file a claim which I did. Their response was that they would not replace my 300 dollar stroller but they hope we fly with them again. First due to a mechanic issue then two passengers are changing their mind and want to get off the plane while it was almost to fly, literally it was on the line getting ready to fly, and guess what ? Our flight is delayed in Nashville TN. The ticket agent claims weather is the culprit. However , with mobile phones and tracking Apps we were able to determine our plane is stuck in Las Vegas. There is no weather issues. Just a complete lie from what I can tell. They made us wait an hour to check our bags and offered no other information.
