American Airlines was fine. The kiosk had multiple machines that were out of order, but the lines were still moving quickly. If you notice the lines are stagnant, consider ordering your Starbucks before going through security to avoid waiting for your coffee.

We were supposed to fly out of Nashville to NY on 8/19/24 at 10 a.m. They cancelled our flight abruptly overnight. We arrived at AA at 7:00 a.m. where we told our flight was cancelled and rebooked for 8/20/24 at 6:00 a.m. They then stated they would not offer any compensation for hotels, meals, or transit. When I checked the FAA website the day of it stated the only interruption was a 15 minute or less delay for arrivals. In the attached image is AA's policy on the matter. When I presented this to the agent and supervisor they refused to offer anything and shrugged. To share: I looked into other airlines on flighttracker, and the next flight an hour later operated by Delta at 11:00 a.m. went out as scheduled. TL/DR - Don't fly AA - we were delayed a day, out a few hundred dollars for last minute lodging and meals, and they refuse to honor their own policy.

This is "MARTI" the ticket troll...I mean ticket agent that CREATED this nightmare.

I see why they have the same rating as Spirit Airlines (currently a GENEROUS 1.5 stars). Every detail of my experience was horrible! We arrived to our gate 14 minutes PRIOR to our scheduled departure time. The angry and evil gate agent had already closed the gate AND gave 2 of our 8 seats to someone else!! Consequently, she separated me and my mom's best friend away from my 80 year-old mother, my wife and 4 kids!!!! This all happened because my mom's best friend and I (whom I was pushing in a wheelchair...myself...NONE of their staff helped us), arrived at the gate (again) 14 minutes BEFORE our flight was scheduled to take off. My wife was at the gate several minutes before us and had explained that we were delayed by security but was right around the corner. The only thing more egregious than her actions, was her attitude while telling us what she was NOT going to do for us!! Obviously, she was allergic to the thought of giving anything that resembled quality customer service. MARTI THE TICKET AGENT IN ORLANDO ON 10/12/2024 SHOULD BE FIRED...IMMEDIATELY!!! Needless to say, we were extremely disappointed with AMERICAN AIRLINES. Then, they also lost 3 of our 8 bags...after charging us their customary $40 per checked bag. #YouCantMakeThisUp. EVERY person (except 1) who I've had to work with had the WORST attitude!! If you're going to be incompetent, at least be nice about it. I'm usually not critical of any situation, but I think this would be helpful for my friends that are considering making the same mistake we made by choosing #AmericanAirlines. #NeverAgain #AmericanAirlines #YouCanDoBetter

I've noticed from reading reviews that so many only take to writing them when they're frustrated because something didn't go right... I write them regardless, both ways, good or bad to provide honest feedback. When it comes to American Airlines, I always appreciate how friendly (yes, they really are friendly) the staff are. I've experienced some with short tempers or who didn't wake up on the good side of the bed, but the overall majority aren't like this. I've called and received great service over the phone, via their policies and I can honestly say I've appreciated the service from AA employees way more than from SW or Spirit.

There seem to be multiple "Delta Air Lines" throughout Yelp. So, If you feel that you've seen this review before, you probably have. I can't say enough good things about Delta, they always do a wonderful job getting me from here to there or... in reverse. it is an amazing airline. It has always been a great airline. Their planes are always clean when we get on. Unfortunately someone always stashes that piece of garbage and I'm usually the one who finds it. LOL. They do a great job of preparing flights from customer to customer. The attendants are always very friendly, courteous and professional. A great group of very talented and committed individuals. They should all be very proud of themselves. I have flown both economy and Delta Priority 1. BIG difference and depending on the length of the flight, it may be worth it. I recognize that there is a big price difference in the two so it's not always an easy choice. The seating is always comfortable and there is always enough legroom. (I'm 5'11"). The video screens are a good size and there is always enough entertainment choices. I'll give the snacks an ok. Nothing spectacular but OK. I definitely miss the blue chips. I definitely miss the free hi speed WiFi. If it's a long flight, you can buy and it's pretty reasonably priced. I don't mind flying, really I don't. When I do, Delta does a great job. I'm not always thrilled about being put into a tube and shot across the country sitting for 3-6 hours but when I do, Delta is a great way to go. I have been and will continue to fly 1st class or Delta One. The service is absolutely flawless and at least I can sleep for a little on a long flight. KUDOs to the team at Delta.

YMMV, since SAE's various terminals…read moredon't offer the same ammenities, but if you're willing to experience air travel that harkens to a simpler, happier period of history--climb aboard. I've flown first class on an Emirates A380 from Paris to Dubai and Shanghai. On the way, I took a shower in-flight. I've hopped aboard a CH-53 in Thailand to catch a free ride from Khorat to Utapao. On the way, we landed in the pilot's front yard to deliver a bag of fruit to his family. I'd give 5-star ratings to both of these drastically different adventures. You cannot compare Emirates first class with a Thai Air Force helicopter any more than you can compare Southern Airways Express (SAE) with Delta, United, or American Airlines. They are apples to oranges; completely different venues with their own advantages & disadvantages. You should know what to expect before booking, much less reviewing, SAE. In my case, I got exactly what I expected from SAE and more (because they didn't cancel the flight): I showed up to a Fixed Base Operation 30 minutes before my flight and parked for free. I dealt with no lines, no crowds, and no hassles. A friendly, eager pilot verified my identity while seated in a high-end lounge offering free coffee and bottled water. Fifteen minutes later we walked to the plane where I enjoyed my choice of seats as the only passenger on board. We departed early, enjoying panoramic views out all the windows, and landed early. I exited the terminal at my destination a few minutes after landing. To go from Nashville to Memphis on another commercial air carrier would mean showing at the airport one to two hours before the flight, paying to park or ride to the airport, waiting in line at the check-in counter, and suffering through TSA. With no direct flights, I get to board and deplane twice, each time hoping enough overhead space remains for my carry-on and doubling my chances for delays or cancellations. If I'm lucky, the flight attendant will be friendly. At my destination I wait my turn among the masses to exit, collect luggage, and procure transportation. Flying on SAE differs from typical commercial flights most americans are accustomed to--thank goodness. Air travel sucks today. Unless you shower on Emirates, which--if you have the means, I highly recommend!

Originally opened in 1937 as Berry Field, the airport code "BNA" is a nod to its history, while today's terminal reflects Nashville's modern growth and unmistakable Music City personality. As a frequent traveler, I find BNA easy to navigate. It's not as sprawling as airports like Charlotte or San Francisco, and getting from one gate to another is fairly straightforward. There are plenty of good local restaurants, shops, and comfortable seating areas, so grabbing a bite before your flight is part of the experience rather than an afterthought. The live music throughout the terminals is a fun touch and makes the airport feel uniquely Nashville. Between the guitars, murals, and local performers, the city puts its best foot forward. The only downside is that the music can make it difficult to find a quiet place if you're trying to take a business call or get some work done before boarding. Also, there are no moving walkways, so wear comfortable shoes if you're headed to one of the farther gates. One of my favorite parts of BNA is simply people-watching. It's always entertaining to see visitors arriving in full cowboy boots and hats, ready to experience Nashville for the first time. Overall, BNA is clean, welcoming, and captures the spirit of the city better than most airports I've visited. It's a great first impression of Nashville. Life is short. Get out there, travel, and see what the world has to offer.

I arrived at the airport at approximately 4:00 AM with my two young children, prepared to begin our long-planned trip to Dubai, UAE. However, we were unjustly denied check-in by JetBlue staff, who insisted--without any legal basis--that I needed a visa to enter the UAE. I am a U.S. citizen holding a valid American passport, and under current UAE immigration policy, U.S. passport holders are eligible for a visa on arrival and do not require a pre-arranged visa.
