Frontier is amazing if you use the Wild Pass $600 a year and if you got the promotional last month it was $300 for almost 2 years. If you get direct flights it's even more amazing. And if you carry light and prefer to have just a personal bag and not pay extra for more stuff, you will be getting the best deals... like a flight one way from NYC to Philly can be $16 total. But it's last minute flights domestic and 10 days in advance for international. Outside of the deals most of the staff are not friendly, definitely not nice, and they seem to have a work family of mean and rude and entitled staff. Sorry but that's been my experience across years of flights in many major cities. Even Spirit airlines has better and somewhat kinder staff and service and they are a great deal also but not as great as the Wild Pass. So I would say Frontier has the worst customer service service of all airlines I ever flew. For these rates I am not expecting high class treatment. I am asking for just decency and humanity. And unfortunately there is almost none. They rarely say hello when you get on the plane and they def rarely say goodbye as you get off. And if they don't update the app with late flights that end up being not late and you are still seeing that the flight is delayed so you think you have time and then you suddenly don't bc they don't tell you and they don't update the app. Don't trust the app. Sit at the gate the whole time. And even after stuff like that they are cruel and won't rebook you on a different flight and force you to buy a new flight last minute. True story in August 2025. None of the staff even tried to help except one staff who saw that I had a connecting flight that I missed due to the app non update he booked me on another flight for free after I was calling frontier trying to get booked and then had to almost book a flight for another $300. He was the only staff who actually looked at my situation and even his nasty female manager yelled at me saying it was my fault and I shouldn't be allowed to be rebooked but he did it anyway very fast while being yelled at also. I was so thankful. But all the other staff never looked at my ID or my flight numbers. Not one except this young guy. Thank you. He was the only human of 10 staff that night. So frontier needs to stop hiring family and friends who are all mean and entitled and think they need to use their power in mean ways. Please.

Unfortunately, I don't recall if this is the gentleman who waited on us, and I don't believe it is. But I was so distracted by Ashea

They don't even deserve a star. We paid $700 for a round-trip tickets, which included checked bags. We were told by the baggage check-in agent at both airports so that we did not have any check bags. The agent in Tampa on the way up who is a young black gentleman was absolutely delightful. He corrected the situation quickly and efficiently. Philadelphia however... We dealt with a very homophobic agent at check-in, I would name him, but he would either provide his name nor wear a name tag. I asked him for a supervisor and a woman who also didn't have a name tag on identified herself as Ashea. She defended her , did nothing to mitigate the situation, actually escalated the situation, and then not only refused to check our bags, she also not to let us check our bags. After an hour on the phone with Sam, who was also a delight, we were finally able to print out baggage claim tickets after showing out another $475. So when they tell you that it's a deal, they mean it's a steal...them from you. Spirit is looking really good. hopefully, I can submit this with no stars, but if I do actually have to check one of them, I'm taking it back here

I've been flying frontier (mostly out Trenton, NJ) when they first came into the area. I love their boarding from the front and back of the plane. This process is very quick. I don't mind taking Frontie4 for a 2 hr trip; anything more would be a little uncomfortable. If you are paying like you weigh and pack for a personal, it's worth the price. If you need to take luggage and / or carry on, I suggest doing price comparison to see if it's worth it.

To alleviate any pre-flight headaches, I attempted to download the Frontier Airlines mobile application but was unsuccessful due to my mobile device not being compatible with the application. However, I did have success visiting flyfrontier.com where I was able to check-in for my flight early and snapshot my boarding pass in the process. Both provided me with leeway prior to my arrival at Philadelphia International Airport - PHL. As someone who had just a carry-on bag with me, it allowed me to check-in ahead of time and head straight to TSA rather than to see a Frontier Airlines agent. As for my airport experience, TSA was expectedly crowded, but the line moved at an acceptable pace. The only things I removed were my shoes, belt, hoodie, necklace, laptop computer out of my backpack, and my obsidian bracelet placing each item inside of the pocket of my hoodie or in the bin itself. There were no issues whatsoever when going through the body scanning machine because I had removed everything I forementioned. However, lucky for me, I was subjected to being screened due to my container of 6AM Marathon pre-workout formula inside of one of my bags which I was sort of skeptical about. It was either that, or my two tubes of hair oil which I had buried inside of my backpack. Thankfully, it was just the formula because I just did not have the desire to see my belongings being searched that I packed so thoroughly inside of my backpack. Eek! Scattered panties, socks, running shorts and t-shirts oh my! So, if you are going through TSA with a workout formula, keep in mind that your bag may be pulled aside and searched. The Frontier Airlines boarding gate was easy to locate within terminal E; a decent appearance yet with flaws such as seats that were torn, and a carpet that was stained and torn as well. As for charging outlets, there were none located in the gate I flew out of, but I was able to charge my phone at a different gate that had outlets underneath the seats. Some advice, look for the outlets underneath the seats with the blue light lit up. Yes, those are your workable outlets which we are all looking for to charge or keep our devices charged. Now, the boarding process with Frontier felt unorganized because everyone kind of just flocked towards the check-in area to board. It felt like there were no boarding groups whatsoever! Here I was feeling on cloud 9 boarding in zone 1, but boarding with Frontier, it did not feel like such. It was like everyone flying with Frontier was part of zone 1 because many passengers flooded the area resulting in a cluster, but we all got onboard with no issues thankfully! While onboard the flight, I relaxed since the flight was short from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Chicago, Illinois. There was a delay that pushed the departure time back from Philadelphia, but nothing worrisome. I felt the need to wear a mask most of the flight because there was a gentleman across from me coughing and not covering his mouth. That alone gave me icky vibes, but I was thankful to not be in the seat in front of him because I would have been in his circle of germs. As for the airplane interior, the seat was spacious enough to where I could adjust myself while seated, but with it being an aisle seat rest assured my arm was bumped a few times as passengers headed from the restroom back to their seat. There was an acceptable amount of foot space to where my military-style backpack could fit underneath the seat in front of me. I must say that the interior of the plane made me feel like it was an older model because of what features it had and what it did not have. The trays were small and there were no USB and charging outlets within the seat. So, I just did not use my phone while on onboard because the last thing I wanted was to have a dead cell phone prior to arriving at my destination. In closing, I am open to choosing Frontier Airlines again after this experience, but if I had other options I likely would not, even if one of those options were Spirit Airlines. Safe travels, and blessings to all that read this review. Flight confirmations: NA | Airline boarding gate: 3 1/2 | Onboard flight: 4 | Airplane interior: 3 1/2 ~ Be Kind. ALWAYS. ~ Thomas G

There is NO ONE at the ticketing counter to check in bags. When they do show up they wont wait on you. The truly dont care at all about their passengers

There really are not as many options as there were before Airtran was absorbed by southwest, but I'll present my case for JetBlue has become the "best" airline, contingent on these two destinations. I wouldn't try jetblue with a US connection, because it seems far too many of their itineraries have ineffective routing (such as via Boston to go south and west) and not competitive pricing results. However, for their directs, as well as their sensible Caribbean destinations via FLL (from either PHL or BOS or JFK, mostly), you can often get a competitive fare that beats or meets all of the other airlines (both of them!) The 1 bag fee for you and your whole party on same itin can be avoided by paying $99 a year for their premium credit card, or else if you insist on paying a la carte, it's $15 to $23 if planned in advance, $35 for a walk-up (as of this writing). Other airlines don't tend to feature advanced booking bag fee discounts such as this, and I think it's a great incentive. I also think the credit card elimination of bag fees is the way to go because every time my family flies one way, this perk pays for itself. The credit card holder also gets half off in flight purchases, which means $3.50 drinks and $3.50 cheese plates. Prices you can't find anywhere else in the sky, and the drink choices are exceptional, not simply the watered down selection of brands too often given on other carriers. ALL of their planes feature free in flight wifi and TV and satellite radio options (www.flyfi.com). Now for a review involving the crew and employees. These are some very helpful and friendly individuals. The culture of JetBlue seems very customer satisfaction oriented.

Upon speaking with a supervisor (escalation team), they claimed it was because the partner airline did not confirm on their end. Funny, because I was already booking the seats with the partner airline when Jet Blue did this to me. I had the partner airline investigate, and they said it was indeed confirmed. I have screenshots of my booking with them before Jet Blue canceled it, so I can prove it. They refuse to accept this. They intentionally canceled my booking to extort more money out of me based on an absolute lie. There is plenty of proof my booking had been confirmed, but they are doubling down in their stance to claim that booking never happened. I'll never get these hours of my life back I wasted trying to talk to them. Never again.

The entire check in was very smooth and easy. There were no long lines and no issues. It was a great way to begin what was going to be a long travel day! Navigating the airport itself was easy. The signage at this airport was very clear and it took a relatively short amount of time to locate my gate once I had passed through security. This airport's layout felt simple and did not make me feel rushed while looking for my gate. Boarding was very well organized and all of the staff were friendly throughout the process. American Airlines team members for this flight did a fantastic job of keeping the flight moving smoothly while still being helpful when needed! The best part of my experience was that we departed right on time with no delays, especially since it was a early morning flight out of Philly to Vegas! Our flight was 5083 departing at 9:51am from PHL to Savannah Ga. We arrived for our flight at PHL airport at 7:30am. Apparently our flight was cancelled because the plane was inoperable. We were told the next flight would be at 11am. It turned out that flight was also delayed but we did manage to board around 12:15pm. After receiving our seats in row 9 we were all told that this flight was too heavy & they needed 7 volunteers to forfeit this flight and take another flight at 7:30pm. Since we were only staying in Savannah from May 23-26, we were already losing most of the day & we had dinner reservations in Savannah at 5pm with friends we were meeting who were driving in from South Carolina. As it turned out only 5 people volunteered to forfeit this flight. Two more people were needed & they chose us (the Edelman's, senior citizens who haven't traveled in 7 years because of health problems and who have been freezing in Phl airport since 7 am. They said they chose us because I was the last one to check in online. We were given travel vouchers for $1800 each. Yes it sounds very generous but I don't know after this nightmare if I will travel again. American Airlines is negligent in overbooking & removing senior citizens from a flight. This is outrageous & we don't know if we will be traveling with American Airlines again.

Delta Air Lines: A Missed Opportunity To Make Amends…read more I normally write only glowing reviews about restaurants, hotels, and the provision of excellent service. Unfortunately I recently had a suboptimal and surprising experience with Delta Air Lines that I feel obliged to report with the hope that it will lead to changes in the way that Delta deals with such mishaps. Errors are bound to happen and often cannot be avoided. Such was the case with me. I was booked on a direct flight from Lisbon to JFK. It was an early morning flight specifically chosen so that I would have enough time to make an essential evening event that I could not miss and had spent a lot of time preparing for. Three days before the flight I spontaneously decided to open my Delta App and was surprised to find that my Delta flight was nowhere to be found. Unfortunately the feeling of surprise turned into easily avoidable disappointment if Delta implemented a process of recovery that would have likely resulted in praise instead of this review. I started a text dialogue with a competent employee to avoid a long wait on the telephone to speak with a live agent. I was ilinformed that my flight had been cancelled though I had never been forewarned either by email, text, phone, or on their Delta App. Their employee was able to get me back on the flight but instead of a bulkhead window seat in their Delta Premium Select section, as originally booked by me, I was placed in a middle seat in the back row of this section of the plane. I was relieved to get on the plane but disappointed in the seat since I might have bought a first class seat given the choices but did not since bulkhead had been available. Given these circumstances, I asked first for a complimentary upgrade which they said was unavailable. I then asked for some other form of compensation. I think the matter at this point had escalated to a higher level of management. I was then told that after completing my trip I should contact a certain department and submit a request for compensation. At this point I had been texting for over an hour instead of enjoying my vacation. I told them that they had all the necessary information and that they could forward it to the appropriate people. I then received a nice text from a higher-up who said he/she appreciated how I handled the situation and would look into the matter. I did inform them if they did not implement some form of appropriate compensation by the end of the trip, that I would write and post a review about this incident. Unfortunately they decided to do nothing and so here is my review. An unfortunate situation that could have so easily been avoided with little if any cost to Delta. Instead of giving priority to flying on Delta, I will in the future give preference to other options. At the very least, I hope this review leads to changes in the way they treat their customer travelers when mishaps like mine occur, either avoidable or unavoidable.

This is about a rebound from a bad experience to a good experience, so that's why I'm giving 5…read morestars. I was flying from Philly to Tucson, with a layover in Midway Chicago. The bad experience was, as I was going to the Terminal E location at Philly Airport, a disembarking staff was doing a scripted conversation with a coworker in which he did most of the talking to her, but appeared to be addressing something very loudly about me: the fact that because I was transgender, there was no bathroom I could use in a conservative place like Arizona. Otherwise, the assigned seats seemed to work in my favor, in that I didn't suffer harassment from people in nearby seats, and the flights were relatively quiet. I actually ended up having the same crew for my second flight, and although the one attendant was naturally a loud talker, the other attendant was really sweet and got me extra tomato juice. On the way back to Philly a few weeks later, I was able to ask for seconds on the Oreo cookies and got two packs. One of the people in front of me was smart to ask for a whole can of tomato juice when they were doing complimentary beverages, because it's the same as the Bloody Mary mix used to mix with alcohol, but not many people in economy have alcohol, and not many people like straight tomato juice. I think I will make a custom of trying to get a whole can of tomato juice, and seeing if there are seconds on juice, too. The second round of drinks for a long flight is water, and the third round is coffee (I disembarked in Philly at about 1:45am, because the flight was delayed from 11:55pm. However, the landing wasn't quite as stacked or rushed as usual, and I kept up my tradition of using the mapping app for the flight, observing how far we'd go into New Jersey before coming about again).

As a low-cost carrier, when I needed…read moreto get somewhere close and quick, they served my needs nicely offering two free bags and open seating that made you feel like they were at least trying not to pick your pocket while avoiding the cattle-car accoutrements of the other skin flint carriers. Well. No more. Now operating under the thumb of a hedge fund (Elliott Investment Management) free bags will soon go the way of assigned seats all tethered to a wildly degraded frequent flyer program. So, the only question remaining is "what's the point?" Southwest Airlines is now an airline only a hedge fund could love. Wither the contrarian. Two basic stars.
