No agents to assist and we are now 1.5 hrs before the flight. We had arrived 2.5 hrs before the flight
    Michelle N.

Terrible experience with this airline, never again. I had flown with them about 25 yrs ago and they were great. Arrived approximately 3 hrs early and no check in agents at all. There's a line of people waiting to bag drop or agent assist and no one here. This is completely unacceptable. They should be here 3-4 hours before each flight to speak to customers that may have issues and check in all these people for bag drop. We were told the counter agents are supposed to come 1-2 hours before the flight. What the?! Especially with how TSA lines have been lately

Only a $100 voucher!!! Not even 100$ only a voucher which I refuse to use because. I don't want to get effed over again

Continue on my last Yelp review since too much words Yelp said... Ppl ran across seeing south west had a San Diego flight but unable to book unless ppl go to the front desk but since flights were less than 60mins the websites did not allow you to book anything which all the front clerks says to book online or front desk... it's effing San Francisco airport they have like two trains to go around this huge ass place so I just felt lost. No one at frontier to help guide us unless possibly the front but there was lines... you can see all the passengers flustered rushing and asking if anyone has anything?!? Thankful enough my significant other found a few but again unable to book unless in person... had to get out of tsa and find a plane... finally found United which had an Ontario flight... took that instead and now had to have my significant other to drive almost 2hrs each way to pick me up and get me home. So thank you frontier for your horrible business! I seriously do not know how you are still able to call yourself a transportation company... PLEASE DO NOT FLY FRONTIER! They will not compensate you and if they do it would just be a voucher with a expiration date because they have underlining agreements prior to booking that they are not at fault for any issues you have and no refund unless a fuck up on their part. But might as well pay a little more for a better flight experience. United was very understanding and helped me in anyway possible. Their staff was perfect even when I was flustered. They got me to book so fast and through the TSAs asap. THANK YOU UNITED AIRLINES FOR ACCOMMODATING ALL OF FRONTIERS PASSENGERS BECAUSE THEY FUCKED US OVER.

First time flying, I've read you can take a personal item like a small backpack but are you also allowed to bring a blanket and small pillow or are they considered as your personal item?

You are able to bring a pillow & blanket , they will not charge you for that. Your backpack will be your personal & you can add an additional bag to carry on IF YOU WANT but we do charge $50. It's cheaper online as well roughly around $35. Hope this… Read more

I previously flew Southwest, but their prices have been getting more ridiculous so I finally tried out Spirit, in 2025. I am now a fan! I have flown one other budget airline (in Europe) before, which left a super bad taste in my mouth, so I was hesitant to fly another budget airline. Flying from socal to norcal (flight time: 1 hour 6 minutes) for $30, I wasn't really expecting much, just that it got me there on time in one piece. I expected them to nickle and dime me and measure my luggage, but none of that happened! The personal item size allowance in America (18x14x8) is way more generous than in Europe. My giant tote bag easily fit in the designated box. I didn't see them try to give anyone a hard time about luggage size at all. What surprised me the most was the flight itself. Planing and deplaning was easier because most people didn't have carry-ons. There were also no snacks (unless you bought some from them), so there was hardly any trash and the seats were way cleaner. Sure the seats don't recline and aren't as cushiony, but it's totally negligible for my short flights. I'm short so the legroom was plenty for me. Not really sure how they make profit charging $30 a flight (during off peak hours), with $20 of it going to airport/government fees, but nonetheless I enjoyed 3/3 of my flights with Spirit!

The flight was booked, and unfortunately my daughter could not make the trip due to work reasons. So, I had to cancel which was done early on, abiding by American Airlines cancellation policy, but they issued a flight credit instead of a refund . I was on the phone with them going back and forth trying to make them be accountable for their own legal travel guidelines, and I was on the phone with various representatives who loved to tell me they can help and issue the refund, but they never did refund me! I could have complained to my bank, but they took out all the mental energy in my system that I just let it go! I was on the phone with them trying to get the refund about four different occasions (each representative) assuring me they could help, and some could not, that I gave up the fight to preserve my mental health. Why did they not follow their own travel (legal) guidelines)? They can get in trouble if they continue to not abide by their own legal travel guidelines. I was already taking time to prepare for this important trip and did not need added anxiety and stress on my plate. How many times does a customer need to be on the phone to get successful and satisfactory results? It should take one phone call to do that. Due to this inability to refund my money, and not abiding by their legal guidelines, even having their own customer service representatives on the phone telling you don't worry we will get you a refund, and it never happened. That is a real problem! The flight itself was smooth with no complications, but it needed to be effortless with my entire experience! In the future, I might fly Delta. Hopefully, American Airlines will take steps to improve in the areas that need attention to regain the trust of their travelers.

Never doing any business with American Airlines again!…read more I purchased tickets to Japan from AA, with the flight operated by Japan Airlines AA's email states: "If your flight is operated by a partner airline, see the other airline's website for carry-on and checked bag policies." Japan airline states "2 free checked bags" But they charged me extra fees for every checked bag I had, stating it was AA's decision. Both airlines had no idea what the policy was and they had to call each other to figure it out for 30 minutes. If I don't sign for the extra charges, my luggage doesn't go on the flight. The service being sold had very unclear terms and they have denied the dispute, stating I knew what I signed up for initially, and that I had signed for the charges at the airport. Total Catch-22 THIS COMPANY IS A TOTAL SCAM 0/5 stars. Fool me once shame on me. But I won't let them fool me or anyone else twice. (Prior to purchasing, I even looked up what other customers had to say about baggage policies on codeshare flights, and they all say it follows the operating airline. Which AA is denying)

The staff on board the plane were friendly and helpful. However, my one major critique was that they only had one staff for general curbside check-in and luggage drop off. Despite using the kiosk to print out our tags ourselves, we still had to wait in a long line to have them weigh our luggage and check our IDs, easily remedied by having at least one more staff. The first class staff did call us over once she was through with her line but I really thought a second economy staff was needed, especially since half the passengers were waiting to check in until they reached the front of the line, old school style, so that the guy had to print out their tags for them and their boarding passes... Thank goodness for TSA precheck which made the security portion of the morning go super fast. So far only 25 percent of my flights leave on time. From Boston not as single delay at all. Luckily I never had a flight get cancelled. On my last trip a majority of the TVs were not working. They kept restarting. I also had the worst passengers sitting in front of me. They took up Two rows and they were out of control the entire trip. They could not control their kids. It was horrible and like a scene from Outbreak. They kept coughing all over the place, they would also stand up on the seats and cough in your face. . Wouldn't doubt if it was the flu or something. The kids kept jumping on the seat and screaming and crying. They could not control the kids. The entire family manned 1 bathroom for like 1/2 the trip. At one point the father apologized to me because the kept throwing and losing crayons and the would end up in my row behind them. Why not control your kids instead? The was a nightmare flight. I was going to ask for another seat but didn't want to make a big deal of it. At one point the father kept knocking on the bathroom door when somone else was in there. You took up the bathroom the entire trip, maybe others now need to use it. I could hear other passengers complain about them but not sure if they said anything. My boyfriend walked up and asked if we could be moved closer to the front of the plane given the circumstances and she waved him away without even looking at our itinerary. Told him the gates were close together in Boston. The plane had several open seats closer to the front, so this would not have been a burden on her. The flight attendant on the plane was much more helpful, and the pilot made an announcement that a few folks had extremely tight connections so please remain seated unless you were one of them. Every single person in economy stayed seated, but I guess the announcement didn't reach the privileged, self-centered folks in first, as they ALL stood up and a woman told my boyfriend to move so she could grab her luggage. He said no, and I explained we had an extremely tight connection. A man in an Aloha Brewing shirt barked at me that everyone had tight connections. He started becoming very irritated and the woman in front of him told him that it was too early in the day to fight me. So that was fun. I hope dude felt really good about himself for going off on a girl. Anyway, he said he was going to New York so I checked the flights to New York. His connection was not tight. He was just rude. I recognize this is unrelated commentary but it's helpful context in the grand scheme of my experience. Our connecting plane was nowhere near the gate when we disembarked, so we had to run through the airport to another part of Terminal C in Boston. A JetBlue agent there asked where we were running to and said she'd call the plane to ask them to hold it for us. They did. JetBlue in Boston was stellar. All's well that ends well in the end, and the FA/pilot really did save the day, but I really wish the gate agent in San Diego had cared even an ounce to help us as a touch of customer service would've gone a long way. It could've been a different outcome if economy hadn't acknowledged the pilot's announcement.

The customer service team assists travelers with managing existing bookings, updating itineraries, exploring alternative travel options, and addressing questions throughout the travel process. As an Emerald member with the one world alliance, I have always received complimentary seat selection on partner airlines. Unfortunately, this United Airlines experience fell short of expectations. I paid an extra **$140** for seats that appeared to offer a better arrangement during the booking process. However, after my wife and I boarded the aircraft, we realized the seating layout differed from what had been displayed at purchase. Paying additional fees only to encounter an uncomfortable seating situation was disappointing. My assigned seat, **6K**, lacked adequate cushioning, making the journey more uncomfortable than expected. I relied on extra pillows and blankets for lower back support throughout much of the flight. On longer trips, seat comfort can make a significant difference in the overall passenger experience. The customer service process proved equally frustrating. I first contacted an agent in Detroit seeking clarification regarding my flight details and aircraft information. I was then transferred to another department, believed to be located in Chicago, where I was informed they could not assist and was given yet another number to call. That representative ultimately redirected me back to the original Detroit contact. Only after several calls and repeated explanations did an agent finally provide the information I had requested from the start. After boarding, I found the aircraft itself attractive and well-maintained, and most of the flight attendants appeared hardworking and professional despite managing a busy cabin. However, the overall environment deteriorated as the flight progressed. A number of passengers were noisy and inconsiderate, and the lavatories became increasingly untidy within a few hours, with wet floors and sinks requiring attention. Although the cabin crew deserved recognition for their efforts and professionalism, the inconsistent customer service, uncomfortable seating experience, and declining cleanliness ultimately overshadowed the positives. Based on this experience, I would strongly compare alternatives before booking United Airlines for a similar trip in the Future.

I finally check in and get on the plane, plane was gorgeous and flight attendants for most part were very hard working. Half the people on this flight were idiots, loud, arrogant, dirty and bathrooms even after a couple hours in flight were dirty, urine on the floor, clogged up sinks. Absolutely disgusting!!!! Like a fourth world country on a top of the line plane. I will never ever fly Royal Jordanian again!!!! Would rather pay twice as much and get to Amman in 3 days then fly this airline. Rather take any other airline that go through that hell AgaiN.

I had to be transferred once, but the second representative handled things better and gave me the correct information.* It wasn't perfect, but it was still a workable experience. I'm leaving this review to share how things went for me personally.

Meals you may purchase. WiFi only if you are a T Mobile customer or pay $8. Flight attendants: old or full sized. 4-27-26 we are returning to Honolulu on Hawaiian. The difference why I give Hawaiian 5 stars: Beverage service: full size can, plus free pour if of drinking age of Koloa Rum punch( refills have a charge) and they still provide a hot sandwich for breakfast. Today it was turkey, egg and cheese. Flight attendants younger, prettier at least on this flight, friendly. Nicer, respectful announcements for lowering window shades and flight time updates. WiFi: free compliments of T Mobile after watching a video. Hawaiian still has their snack carts in case you want to purchase items. Yes there are noticeable differences. Hubs told me Alaska will be flying from their hub in Seattle to London and Rome next month. That is exciting news. We will remain loyal to both airlines due to the merger and hope the best of each airlines continues more in sync with each other.
