My husband has been searching for 2 years for a particular truck with particular options.. we were at the point of looking out of state. A few months ago we came upon THE truck here at frontier. We live about 4 hours away so asked a friend to drive it. He went over and drove it and really didnt have anything bad to say and the staff were easy to deal with. Fast forward 3 months and endless searching high and low.... My husband asked me to go check out the truck when I went to do errands in Anchorage. So pressed for time I swung in and asked for particulars on the truck and unceremoniously climbed under it an did my inspection:-) then up top I went looking at everything my eyes could see... hmmmmmmmmmmm I will tell we have 3 other trucks like it so I had a good idea what I was looking at/for. I personally wasnt stoked about buying another truck but whatever..I knew it was the truck for my honey . Steve was awsome to talk to. He let me look at it without demeaning me or talking to me like I was a dumb girl. Which I have found many other salesmen do. So I appreciated how Steve respected my knowledge and answered my questions. Now I left in a hurry after driving the truck I had so many things to do... My husband, based on what I had to say about the truck and the way I was treated and the air of honesty I felt while talking with Steve and Thomas, decided to buy the truck... You should know the truck was a older model that banks dont typically finance. Thomas handled the loan app and got it sent to the right bank for us. OMG the communication! Thomas stayed on top of the app and it went through and in short.. I am thrilled. These guys were awsom from start to finish. I love the bank they sent us to(I never even hear of it) so Tom and Steve's knowledge there was invaluable. My husband has his dream truck. Bought a brand-new 2025 Kodiak Cub 170BH here. On my first camping trip: heater and refrigerator not working and window leak. Brought it in for service -- was told the window leak couldn't be found. However, found a heavy silicone patch applied on that window alone. Liars! The trailer came back with new damage on the interior panels -- screws and staple marks that weren't there before. No acknowledgment, no accountability. Months of emails followed. The owner, Vik, eventually responded in writing that everything is the manufacturer's responsibility and directed me to Keystone. Keystone then confirmed they have zero warranty claim history for my unit -- meaning the repairs performed here were apparently never filed with the manufacturer at all. I gave this dealership every opportunity to make this right. What I got was delay, deflection, and silence. If you're buying here, just know: the experience ends the moment you drive off the lot. read more

Was looking to trade in my mustang for a truck and found a great priced truck from here. They put up a good negotiation. When I pointed out that there was a problem with the brakes on the 2009 Ram 1500. They made an appointment with me and gave me a loaner vehicle for a day so I can make it to work and when I got it back. I was surprised with the big difference it made with no charge. Customer Phone service could be improved. Sales person were like sales people so nothing to expect there. I would definitely inspect the vehicle you want before you buy. read more

Bought a new camper for $40K, long story short, was provided a manufacturer faulty battery (unknown at time of purchase due to generator connection) went on first dry camping trip and discovered faulty battery, that couldn't be charged by vehicle/generator. Took battery to local auto store who confirmed faulty battery (with printed test results). Bought new battery to have heated space during trip. Upon return inquired of dealer about refund for faulty battery? Associate stated they could switch out original battery, which was turned back in for the core charge 4 hours away, therefore not possible. For markup on trailer, I would assume situation could be rectified, but dealer refused refund for faulty battery. Purchase experience as pleasant, but after purchase customer care is lacking. read more

Our experience would be the length of a novella if I wrote it all out. Instead, let me just state that we have been married for almost 15 years and we have had EVERY model of Ford Superduty available -- all body styles...all models...all engines. We currently own FOUR Ford pickups -- 3 are Superdutys. We also have purchased a few cars and trucks used -- and purchased aftermarket warranties in the past with no issues -- and made claims on them with no issues. Between the two of us -- we have owned over 20 pickups and 15 cars. Furthermore, my husband is a certified diesel mechanic - retired military -- and was a diesel mechanic in the ARMY -- and as a civilian was a shop foreman for a trucking company in Alaska and now is a CDL truck driver in the lower 48. Our experience with Frontier began this past March when it was time for my husband to move to the lower 48. I had already left with our 2015 F-350 diesel towing a trailer of our belongings and my husband's 1999 F-350 was going to make the trip with him towing a trailer. The week before my husband was to leave, we made the decision to sell his 1999 F-350 and get him a different truck for the trip down. He found an 2005 F-250 at Frontier and purchased it after looking at other trucks other places. While he was at the dealership, he called me a few times and we discussed all elements of the sale -- price, interest on loan, aftermarket warranty, etc. Being able to purchase an after-market warranty was KEY to the sale and there wouldn't have been a sale without it. We paid $3500 for the AM warranty that Frontier offered through a company called "Alpha". Because the truck had an non-stock lift kit and over-sized tires, Frontier told my husband that Alpha wouldn't cover the axles, tires, brakes, etc -- things related to the lift-kit. This was discussed and my husband even called me to discuss it. My husband also asked the sales manager to call Alpha to clarify what would/wouldn't be covered and he HEARD the sales manager's side of the conversation. This became important later in that they now claim they NEVER called Alpha while my husband was there. (then who did they call? My husband is NOT prone to making up lies and I resent their implication that he is lying about the call to Alpha). Anyhow, long story short, the truck did NOT make the drive down the Alcan and instead had to be trailered to the lower 48 as we were in a time crunch with him starting a new job and couldn't deal with it in Alaska. We thought we would never have to call Frontier and we would just deal with Alpha. After a month of dealing with Alpha...they denied the claim -- it was the turbo and the oil cooler -- and should have been covered. The Alpha adjustor they sent to the dealership in Oklahoma to look at the truck denied the claim because the truck had a lift kit. Upon calling Frontier to tell them that they sold us a $3500 after-market warranty that was no good...things began to get really bizarre. 1) they claimed the they never called Alpha while my husband was there (as I stated above) 2) they told me that they "told him the Alpha warranty wasn't going to be any good" but that he said "he knew ways around warranties and how to deal with companies to make it work" -- which is really bizarre and nothing my husband would have ever said in a million years. Just to double check I called my husband and told him that...and his response was "that doesn't sound like me at all" to which I laughed and said I told them the same thing. 3) they insinuated several times that my husband lied to me about the warranty --- again, something my husband wouldn't do -- completely out of character for him to do that! 4) the insinuated that my husband was so "eager to get the truck" that he didn't tell me the truth about the warranty 5) they said they told him the warranty from Alpha wouldn't be any good -- but then they SOLD IT TO HIM ANYWAY!! Who does that???? No one. No one ethical would charge a customer $3500 for a warranty if they KNEW is wasn't worth the paper it was printed on. 6) they really tried to paint my husband as "over-eager to buy" and willing to fudge the truth and lie to me just to get that truck --- again....we have owned 11 pickups in our 14 years of marriage -- still have 4 of them --- so a truck isn't a huge deal. First and foremost, he just needed a good diesel to get down the ALCAN and there were SEVERAL trucks he was looking at around Anchorage when he bought the one from Frontier. So -- in the end -- Frontier HAS covered 50% of the repair bill for the turbo and oil cooler out of their own pocket and we have cancelled our warranty with Alpha and received our $3500 back. But this is all because I made sure that they knew that I wasn't going to be pushed around and I wasn't going to fall for them trying to divide my husband and I and make me think he lied to me about what happened at Frontier when he bought the truck. Do not buy a vehicle from them , unless you get it checked out by a TRUSTED mechanic before buying. AND Def buy the extra warranty if you have the option, boy has that already paid for itself in repairs. Do NOt go to the place that they send their cars to either, because the one they sent us to did not do the job right. Not even a month after buying a vehicle from them, we had issues, KNOCKING noises at every turn, the whole front end had to be re-done. We called them to ask where we should take the car to, they recommended Accurate Import, so we took our vehicle there, TOOK 3 SEPARATE TIMES FOR THEM TO FIX THE ORIGINAL ISSUE, thankfully this was covered mostly under our very expensive warranty we purchased. Fast forward not even a year later; SAME ISSUES, noticed knocking noises; leaking, brake issues. No way we were taking it into any place affiliated with them. Took it into the Chevy Dealership two weeks ago to get new tires put on, and the guy there said he didn't feel comfortable letting us drive off in this car, the whole front end needed to be fixed AGAIN. Looks like accurate import never did an alignment after supposedly "fixing" the issue. He said if we had hit a pothole, or anything the wrong way I could have lost control of my vehicle, the tires would have caved in. How scary when I have 3 children in the vehicle. The issues we've had with this vehicle HAD to have been known well before we ever bought it. Yes, it's used, it's a 2011 with 84,000 miles on it, and yes you take a chance when buying a used vehicle, but that's all we could afford at that time. Guess I'm not surprised for a used dealership to try and sell a vehicle that needed a LOT of work done on it, then send us to the shop that passed their inspection. All I can say is purchase the 2 year extended ridiculously expensive warranty on any used vehicle. It's already paid for itself. With all the issues, this car isn't even with HALF of what we still OWE on the vehicle. Will NOT buy from then again. read more

We, meaning my husband and myself have purchased a couple vehicles from different dealers in town and have had basically the expected car buying experience. It's long, drug out and you feel as if you have to read between the lines. The only part you look forward to is driving your new vehicle away. Not here and I'm not kidding. We had the pleasure of first meeting Ciara who was a sweet as she could be. She let us drive the truck we wanted to drive then told us about a couple others. We then met Kenny, and drove the second truck. We came back the next day and decided on our vehicle. Went in to see Steve the finance guy. Steve told us about car warranty's and the ones that he would recommend. He was not pushy, we did not feel like we had to get one or bad if we did or did not purchase one. Steve also told us very honest information about other cars on the road today and safety information. We paid for our truck and then we visited with Bob the manager who was as kind and personable as he could be. There were other customers there we were talking to about Alaska, life in general and cars and they were not in a hurry to get up and leave either after they had test drove or made their purchase. The deal was quick, honest, friendly and I didn't want to go home, I wanted to stay, drink coffee and talk about kids, dogs and life with these kind honest people. We will be back for our son's first vehicle and I will recommend them to anyone that asks. I have never in my life had a more pleasant car buying experience. read more

I bought a used Subaru wagon from these guys. I got an ok deal, but when I showed up, they tried to talk me up from the sticker price! Absolutely ridiculous. When summer came, I got some seasonal replacement tires for the studded ones that came with. The tire place told me that they legally could not put the studded tires (that came with the car) back on, because they were not the right size for the car and could pose a serious risk for anyone in the car.
