    The burgers here are fabulous!
    Michael B.

I took my ladyfriend here as I'd heard that they grill the burgers over charcoal. Service was fast and friendly, and the restaurant was clean. We got our food, she took a bite, then said, "Oh, this is excellent!" Sure enough, this is one of the best burgers I've had since moving to Texas, and I eat a lot of 'em. It may not be for everyone but a real burger aficionado will be transported back to their parents' backyard Weber grill or their local state fair when taking a bite. We will be back, this is an excellent example of a longtime chain that's been around forever...and for a damn good reason! This place scores a 5 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn't have my last supper here. 1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn't have my penultimate supper here, either.

    #5 Bacon cheese burger.

Never had a bad burger here. Just the burger, no fries needed. Friendly folks with consistently good food.

Jim's just don't hit anymore, but they succeed here. The last three times I ordered a signature burger from Jim's the bun was over toasted and lettuce was wilted. I gave up! The food is fresher and the smiles are bigger over here. Classic Jim's Chicken Strips. Big Burgers, Crispy Fries, Hot Tortilla Soup and Cold Thick Ranch are the gold standard at Frontier Burger. I get the half and half(see picture) with my #3. Nothing beats Crinkle Cut Fries and Thinly Sliced Onion Rings! Stop in and get yourself some Jim's... just not at Jim's, but here at Frontier Burger!

That burger was really good, and Brandy totally nailed the vibe! Plus, the fries were delicious! Really good service!

I like that you can throw away your trash without having to touch the lid of the trash can, plus there is hand sanitizer right next to it.

Nice service, vintage atmosphere, delicious burger, perfect crinkle fries--served fast.

This place has great burgers and fries. The old time style gives the place a good aesthetic. The homemade lemonade is also amazing.

Easy location next to Trader Joe's Saw the Korean BBQ chicken ad and looked great. Well.... Every. Single . Item. Was cold, hardly room temp. This has also been a problem on the past. They leave the covers open duh Paid extra for sweet potatoes that were to be hot versus their free cold version but no.... Looked like it was sitting awhile and I said that as the cover was off, but the worker said no it was fresh Rice is airy and cold Kim chi cucumber ok The chicken was cold and looked nothing like the photo, I asked several times if it was the Korean BBQ. Looked dry and they just recommended me to choose a sauce they offer for all their items They do not have white meat btw Hubby walked in reluctantly as last visit we had been served cold Salmon He promptly walked out empty handed after trying to find other options Think this is it folks. Sadly, How many tries do you give a place chances for redemption?

Every detail feels thoughtfully planned, making the restaurant feel both comfortable and elevated. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. First, I'll start by saying I had mine delivered by Uber Eats. The failed operations of this place…read moreis astounding. First, the wrong order was provided to the driver. The bag had nothing on the outside to determine which order it is. The driver was kind enough to return and swap out the orders even though they have no responsibility to do so. Upon return, the order was missing an item. Total incompetence at this place. The dressing for the Caesar salad was awful. Tasted like it was made with mostly mayonnaise. The ratio of bread crumbs to lettuce was overwhelming. Luckily, those are easy to pick out. The mac&cheese wasn't very cheesy. And the only option is fake noodles. Ridiculous. Terrible texture obviously with fake noodles. I also added roasted cauliflower. The chunks of cauliflower were too big and required the use of a knife to cut into edible portions. Seemed like lazy knife work in the kitchen. The Wagyu burger was pretty good and cooked to the doneness I requested. The jalapeños I added were diced into really small pieces. No pith. Therefore, no spice. And jalapeno with pith fully removed also has almost no flavor. I'm also not a fan of cheddar cheese on a burger but they don't allow for American or Monterrey Jack. The "fire roasetd tomato basil" soup was decent but still problematic. The cheese included is mozzarela. Never I have had a tomato soup that didn't use parmigian. And the mozzarela was a single gooey lump not sliced at advertised. Also, it was supposed to be "fire roasted" tomato soup. This is a lie. There was zero evidence of roasted tomatoes by sight or taste. I also could not detect by sight or flavor any hint of basil.

I'm not vegan or vegetarian, and usually I leave places like this wishing I had just ordered a burger somewhere else. But this place completely flipped that expectation on its head. First off, the menu is surprisingly comforting. It's not trying to be overly fancy or obscure--it's familiar food, just done plant-based. With friendly service and a warm smile serving up delicious food. What really stood out is that nothing felt like a compromise. A lot of vegan spots lean heavily on the idea that you'll enjoy it because it's vegan. Here, it just tastes good--period. Even the sides, like the mac and cheese and mashed potatoes, had that rich, satisfying quality you'd expect from traditional comfort food. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, not preachy or intimidating. Whether you're fully plant-based or just someone curious (or skeptical, like I was), it feels like a place where you can relax and just enjoy your meal without overthinking it. By the time I left, I wasn't thinking "that was good for vegan food"--I was just thinking "that was really good food." And honestly, that's probably the highest compliment I can give. I'd go back without hesitation, and not just when I'm trying to eat "healthier."

I immediately book marked it as a place I wanted to hit! The front street view of the place wasn't eye catching, but once inside, it was lively and busy. Super casual, order at the counter. We received a very friendly greeting and the gentleman happily introduced us to their menu. Love how everything is made in house scratch. They make their own sourdough breads, brews, and brisket. We made it just in time before brunch ended ( ends at 1400). We ordered: Brunch Pastrami and egg on sourdough potato roll sando. Delicious!!!!! The roll was so soft , the house made pastrami was tasty and not overly salty, paired with 2 fried eggs, and ooey gooey melted Swiss. Yumm!!! Little pricey as it didn't come with anything else. But, it definitely was amazing! Shared a large Native Texan pizza. Woweee! One of the best pizzas we ever had. It had house made pastrami brisket, house pickled jalapeños, red onions, and various cheeses. It was topped and swirled with a tallow Bbq sauce, which gave it a slight smoky flavor. The jalapeños gave a nice after bite kick. The sourdough crust was perfectly thin, with a slight sweet aftertaste. We took home some leftover pizza slices and they were still as delicious the first day. Hubby is still raving about the pizza today lol Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We didn't try any of their home brews as it was too early in the day for us, but for sure next time. Can't wait to revisit and try some more things on the menu. Military discount is offered.
