I do wish there had been a little more meat for the price, especially since lunch ended up being a bit on the expensive side. The potato salad was the standout. It wasn't overloaded with mayonnaise like some places, the potatoes still had a nice texture instead of being mushy, and it was well seasoned. The hush puppies, unfortunately, were disappointing. They were dry and pretty bland. I ended up using quite a bit of butter just to make them more enjoyable. I'm not sure if it's nostalgia or just looking back through rose-colored glasses, but the meal wasn't quite as good as I remembered it being before the pandemic. That said, nothing was bad enough to ruin the experience. Overall, it was a perfectly decent, unoffensive lunch. I wouldn't go out of my way for it, but I also wouldn't hesitate to eat there again if I was in the mood for barbecue.
