Absolutely horrific experience with this service! Serious had to wait 2 days for available appointment, I was supposed to be seen by a technician 10/3/18 between the hours of 8am-12pm, I called at 1030 to verify appt, I was told everything was good to go. Called again at about 1255 when noone had shown up, I was told someone would be to my home today for sure. Call again a little after 1700 I was told I would have to wait until tuesday for a next available appt. This company has no respect for anyone's time or money. They are terrible the customer service is extremely lacking. I was told I was not being understanding of the unforeseen circumstances in which had made my Technician unavailable even though I had been calling them through out the day and no one at any point had call me to tell me no one was going to show up to my home. I literally waited from 8am to 6pm for services that never happened. These people are rude and unbelievable. DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY OR TIME WITH THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY! This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Before signing up I asked for their specials for new customers and they gave me different options, I told them that I needed 3 specific sports channels and I asked if those were included on the package. After being on hold the sales rep came back on the phone and said they were included. I must have asked 3 times before saying yes to sign up because those are the channels my husband watches. Long story short I asked for time off from work to be available for the tech to install the equipment and found out they were not included. I had their stupid pathetic service for no more than 2 days. I called at least 6 times since the same day of installation to tell them it was such an inconvenience calling them so much regarding my specific channels. I wanted to cancel at that point and I was told I couldn't until 5 more days because another technician was scheduled to come and fix the issue. All the sales reps, supervisors and managers need product knowledge, customer service skills and training on how not to lie to customers. I asked them to listen to every recorded call to prove that I was lied to and all they said is "if we find inconsistencies we will use that to train our Reps" Lucky me they are charging me $144 for 0 days of services I never received what I was told I would. They really suck as a whole company, they lack so many things including honesty, integrity and ethics. I am even tempted to sue them not for the money that I have to pay them now but for the inconvenience and deceitful lies. Absolutley worthless.....am told I am in a high traffic area which is why my internet is sporadically working. Then the wires were bad. Now the modem is bad. All of which takes 7-14 days to "fix". Its adequate for three weeks, then something else goes bad, but hey, they ALWAYS have an excuse and it's never their fault. We moved to CO on August 7th, a date we had planned for well over two months. I called Frontier on July 26th to cancel my service, almost two weeks before my billing cycle ended. I let the customer service rep know that the last day we would be using the internet was the 6th, and to cancel on the 7th. Since Frontier's website states they bill one month in advance, I wanted to call well ahead of time to make sure I wouldn't be charged for a month worth of internet I wouldn't be using. I'm sure you can all see where this is going by now..... Sure enough, we were charged 3 days later. Well if Frontier bills one month in advance, as stated on their website, I should have been good for those first 6 days of August, right?... Wrong. Frontier is still planning to charge us another month worth of service (now $130 total) for literally 1 DAY WORTH OF INTERNET SERVICE!!!! Now I admit, I do have some fault in this as I misunderstood our bill and thought our billing cycle ended on the 6th. That was my misunderstanding. However, Frontier's customer service rep should have informed me that by choosing to cancel service one day late, we would be charged for another month of service. Had that been explained to me, I would have without a doubt canceled one day before and saved myself the headache of dealing with this situation. At this point we've spoken with 5 different customer service rep's and none of them could explain the billing process to us. We asked to speak with a supervisor, were on hold twice, and BOTH times we were mysteriously disconnected. Frontier, is this seriously how you treat your customers?! It shouldn't take multiple calls to your customer support line before your customers actually receive support.... If they even do at all. Frontier! Where do I start! Look back in my account like 2 months ago I called to re bundle and save $40/month. Guess what he never put the order through and I wasn't compensated. Then I call back and get disconnected a few times before I get a lady who re bundles for me a few weeks ago but again it was not back dated as it should have been. My tv has been in and out in 2 rooms for months now and they did trouble shooting that "should help" well no it didn't so I call back and have to get boxes sent to me, guess what one was the right box and was wasn't a dvr. Get it together! Now I spent 2 hours being transferred and disconnected and wrong departments just to activate the stupid box and I'm told that department is now closed. Countless hours (more that 5 just dealing with this issue. and I'm a very very un happy customer! 2. RUN!!!!!! Don't use frontier!!! It's been a nightmare for the last 6 months! I tried retiring equipment and never got boxes to return. (They were never sent to me) I send boxes back and keep the tracking numbers. Boxes were received by "walker" 8/9 next month I'm billed $200 plus taxes. Call complain they admit they received them. Next month I get my credit...... plus another $400 "in returned equipment fee!?!" Wait what? So I'm trying to get this resolved and at the end of the call the lady asks if I want to sign up for auto pay! I laughed like you keep over charging me and want me to auto pay so you can take an extra $480 out of my account that I don't owe you? I'm duping this company. Currently cancelling my service because my internet was randomly disconnected for no payment on the bill. I have auto pay set up and have been paying my bill for 3 years no problems. I guess somehow my auto pay got disconnected so they decided to shut off my internet instead of letting me know my payments are not going through. First I tried to call and get my internet hooked up again and pay my bill but they want to charge me $10.00 just to pay my bill over the phone... over all ridiculous rates and poor customer service. Couldn't even use the WiFi on my phone, and talked to a supervisor, the more you go over your limit the slower it will get. I'm so upset. No, pissed! I didn't know how to start my review. This company has to be one of the worst companies out there! When we received our router, instruction says less than 30mins to complete installation. Well this wasn't the cast, I've tried every which way I could possibly think of. So I had to call C/S for technical support. That was NO HELP either!!! They couldn't figure out what was wrong. So told us that we need a ticket number and someone would call us. Zero stars. My cable went out 4 weeks ago. Since then I have had three techs out. Each time the cable stopped working again the following day. I had to be available for their 4 hr windows. Today the 4th tech was scheduled with a window of 8a-12p. By 12:30 no sho, no call. I called them and have been on the phone for 1/2 hr for them to finally tell me the tech is running late and can't give me an ETA. It is noI'm done! Canceling this service. If I could give Frontier ZERO stars, I would! We called to get an upgrade on our speed to 200/200 and to remove Cinemax and Showtime. They came to our house to give us the upgrade, and then they removed most of our cable channels and we still have lower speed of our router. It's saying 117/65. And Not the Channels we asked for..I called them and told them that we had lower speed and still missing cable channels for over 24 hours, now as of today, April 12th, they tell me that they can't get it fixed until April 16th, and that they need to come back out to our house and fix it! I asked to speak to a manager, and they tell me that he was very busy, and I'd have a very long wait. The worse and most incompetence customer service I have ever received. The woman that came to our door to sell the service dissappeared once we signed up. There were always little fees in the bill that they had no explaination for. Somehow their server manage to block my business website, and I haven't been able to access it for over 4 months, they've sent a couple techs over and have no idea why they came. Their customer service wait time is about an hour or longer. I've spent 2hour on the phone each time with them to diagnose the problem, yet they can't seem to resolve the issue. I wish I could give these guys 0 stars! Stay away from Frontier Communications. Their door-to-door reps are liars/scammers, tell you there are no fees or contracts (which there actually are), and their service is a lie too!! We got the FiOS internet (200mbps/200mbps) and did our own speed test, and only get about 35mbps, if we're lucky! We are now moving, to a state they don't service, so finally decided to call and cancel the account and pay any final payments. When we did, we found out about the "early termination fee", which we explicitly asked the door rep about and was told by her that Frontier doesn't charge an "early termination fee". Instead of letting me pay my balance and schedule a stop date, the guy on the phone decided it was better customer service to argue with me and file a dispute. Again, these guys are THE WORST!!! Don't listen to their sales pitches, as you WILL NEVER get the speeds you are paying for. Not to mention, if you ever have an issue or need to stop service, they'll just argue with you and demand even more money. Save your money and go with Spectrum or Verizon. It has been 3 1/2 weeks and about 10-12 phone calls to try to get my phone line placed in a state where the number can be ported out. 95% of the time I spend on the phone, the C/S rep has me on hold because they need to talk to someone else about how to do what they need to do (i.e. totally untrained!) At 2pm, I contacted Frontier customer service representive informed me that the installer was running late and assured me the a "priority" was placed and the installer would be at my residence shortly. They tell me I'm in a high demand area( I live in the most rural part of the county btw) and there is nothing we can do. So I get a supervisor that says maybe we can put you on a program with more power and I say great if it is at your expense. the chat goes quite and he basically hung up on me. The WORST service and costumer service ever! They came to install and were rude. Not to mention they set the service up wrong. Spent hours on the phone and was misinformed about charges and services. My service wAs terrible and so slow. I canceled and sent the router back. I called and two representatives said I had a 0 balance. Then three months later I got a letter saying they were sending me to collections! They told me I had a 0 balance! They won't let me cancel my cable subscription. I've tried everything I can think of. They tell me I dont know my PIN, but they wont let me reset my PIN. Usually they get me off the phone by saying they'll send the PIN via mail, or they'll go ahead and cancel it for me without the PIN. But nothing ever happens and I keep getting charged. I work from home so cant risk having my Internet shut off, hence I csnt even stop paying my Bill's. Frontier is a SCAM. read more

I am writing about Frontier Communications for a second time because I just received a notice in the mail that I am eligible to be included in a court settlement in an action for which the lead plaintiff was The Arkansas Teachers' Retirement System. The Defendant is Frontier Communications. At one time I held an investment which was part of Frontier Communications in my IRA account. The value of this investment went to zero, ($0.00). That is, I lost all of my money invested int that specific Frontier Communications security. And I have another issue with Frontier Communications. For a period of about one week in early November 2019 I was a subscriber to their internet service. I didn't choose their service, it was sold to me by another company. I had just moved into a new home and I called the local water company, EMWD - Eastern Municipal Water District in southern California - and EMWD recommended Frontier and signed me up for the Frontier service during that same phone call in which I had water service put in my name. I agreed to EMWD's solicitation, after all it was a utility company, not for profit, and so I expected that the Frontier service was recommended by EMWD. Why would I think otherwise? A couple of days later a Frontier technician showed up at my home as scheduled to connect the service to my home. It took the fellow several hours but he was finally able to get it working. What followed was a nightmare in terms of customer service. Within the first two days I began experiencing intermittent service. Over the next week I probably called at least three or four times each day. Part of the reason for so many calls was that my calls were disconnected. So I had to call back and start all over again. After four of five days with the issue not being resolved I called Frontier and requested a higher level of service with the hope that a higher level of service might resolve the problems. The representative at Frontier told me that she was scheduling an appointment for the next morning to upgrade my service. I waited all morning for Frontier's technician to arrive. But he never did. I called Frontier about this and I was told that there was no service scheduled for me or my address. So I tried to reschedule. But I was told that no one could come out to my house for at least five more days. I do not remember at this time if I rescheduled but I was not happy. So after that call I called another internet/cable TV company and they were able to accommodate me that same day. It wouldn't be until around 6:00 PM but they would definitely send someone out that same day. They did and the service worked fine! I used the new service for the next few days and it continued to work without any problems. So I decided to cancel my service with Frontier. I called Frontier and explained my situation to a fellow (I think that his name was Simon) and he apologized for Frontier and offered to waive my Frontier bill because the service didn't work reliably and because Frontier had not scheduled technical service as promised. He checked with a supervisor and told me that my bill would be credited for the full amount over the next two billing periods. This was during the week of November 11, 2019. I returned the Frontier modem via UPS and I considered the matter closed. Then in December I got a notice from Frontier that my bill was past due. I called and disputed the bill and by the first half of January 2020 Frontier had turned my account over to a collections company. Since the service didn't work reliably and was less than two weeks old and issues were not resolved I took the phone representative's word that the bill would be waived and I did not pay the invoice. I have reported this to Frontier in the past. Of course Frontier reported this to credit bureaus and it is reflected in my credit score. Frontier knows this and they persist. I am well into my 70's and there is a good chance that I won't live the seven years until this record drops from my credit report. Poor service and poor financial results (as illustrated by the Court Settlement with the Arkansas Teachers Retirement System) should not be rewarded and those considering subscribing or investing with Frontier should find out the facts before going ahead. There is no reason to pay for service that isn't delivered. read more

So after my internet went out yesterday morning around 9, I contacted customer service who informed me that the earliest a tech could come to my home to trouble shoot would be the following day in the afternoon. Of course my at home business is now 95% shut down because I rely on internet availability. Tech shows the following afternoon and asks 2 questions, never inspects my router and immediately knows what the problem is. Sounds great... until he explains what the problem is. Apparently Frontier did not have enough hubs on their main distributor and simply removed my connection to accommodate a new customer. What in the actual *uck?!?! Whelp, I wish I read these reviews before switching from Spectrum. A Frontier sales rep was in our neighborhood going door to door trying to switch us to their fiber optic internet service. He promised consistent speeds of 500mbps. We signed up and the tech came to install everything. Once he was done he tested the connection on his own equipment and came up with speeds between 350 and 400 mbps. Sooooo not at all what was explicitly promised and no better than what we had at Spectrum. The tech guy said the sales team routinely makes those promises that are totally unrealistic. My experience: Awful awful awful customer service.  I starting having problems on April 7, 2021 then the internet completely died on the evening of April 15th and is still out. Multiple tech/customer support calls, some lasting 1 hour 20 minutes. They issued a ticket after promising a technician on Saturday, then closed it as completed without fixing the problem or ever contacting me. Excuses after excuses from their agents on every subsequent call.  Forget ever trying to speak to a supervisor.. They just wouldn't let me do it.  I'm working full time from home during the day and attending online classes at night. Doesn't seem to matter to Frontier Communications. It feels like their escalation process is a joke, too. They have some dumb ass people working the phones for taking payments they can not even cancel itwhen it does not go thru. Then send me to auto pay thru phone and charge me. Real kicker is that the first bill is still trying to process and keeping my money from being available . And they have No knowledge of it at all. Piss poor customer service. There is a reason Frontier only gets 1 star (I would give them "0" if I could). First they advertise a $39.00** dollar a month price for FIOS, which almost made it worth dealing with their aggravation. Then they jack the price up to $59.99** And then if you (are foolish enough to) contact them, they won't give you the 'out-the-door-price'.. they say they don't know & they blame it on taxes, that somehow they don't know what the taxes are/will be in your city?? When you ask them: Why can Spectrum give you an exact monthly price quote, which includes all taxes/fees/and other costs, but Frontier can't, they have no answer. Well the answer is exactly what you think: it's called "cramming". In the old days it was the service reps who stuffed/added/'crammed' additional items onto you account to pad the bill (and their commission). Now it's the company itself jamming additional costs on, blaming it on taxes and fees. It's would be very simple for Frontier to review customer bills in every city and come up with a pretty darn close estimate of what a service would cost in every place they service. But NOT if you plan on using the "bait-and-switch"! ie: advertise one price, say that taxes and fees are extra, and then when you bill comes it is 15% to 20% more than you were told. If the local cities and states were actually getting ALL of the taxes, fees and costs that Frontier is billing for, there wouldn't be much of a deficit.
