ZERO STARS! I was going through the motions of switching cable/internet/phone from another carrier and received an amazing quote. I made it very clear that I wanted premium movie channels and was ensured that they were included in the price. I was given an instillation date and transferred to another Rep to transfer my phone line. I was told by this guy that the first Rep should've put in the request when setting up my new service...have to give my existing server 5 days curtesy to port over line, so I was given a second instillation appointment for my phone line. On the 1st instillation day (08-1200)...no show. I waited until 1:00 to call to inquire about my 'lost' installer. I was on the phone for 1.5 hours, disconnected x3, and spoke to 4 different representatives to have NOTHING resolved. The WORST customer service I have ever experienced. The first 3 reps I spoke to said they couldn't see any evidence of today's instillation, only my later date. I was fed up and asked to speak with a supervisor--I was told that "he was not in the building and that he'd be available in 20-30 minutes". There was no option for them to call me back, they wanted me to call customer service again and start all over. FYI, there is no main office and these calls are dispatched to various locations (I didn't know that). I'm pissed! I had to step outside so I could yell at these fools...got my blood pressure all the way up. After waiting 30+ minutes to call back, I reach my 4th Rep and have to explain my story once again. I am told that none of the my previous calls were noted on my file so no one claimed to have assisted me...no evidence that I was inquiring about service or requesting higher management assistance. She also tells me that she does see instillation service for today but it was cancelled. Wow! I tell her that I received confirmation texts everyday since I set up service, last one being this morning, confirming my appointment. When I ask to speak to a supervisor again, she says that there's no one in the office and that they're just taking 'Call Backs' and it could take up to 24-48hrs to receive a reply. So I'm inconvenienced...day off from work and time lost for nothing. The following day, after reading all the negative Yelp reviews, I decided to call Frontier again to get run down of my services and decide if it's worth the switch. Come to find out that none of the movie channels I specified were included in the price I was quoted. I'M DONE! I cancelled instillation all together. Avoid this company like the plague. read more

All of our TVs tell us we have no cable connection or can't connect to watch tv . We know the routine of troubleshooting and no the cables aren't loose in any if the boxes , the reps when you call will make you go thru the steps to see if they can reset your boxes . I called customer service to report damage to the Frontier's FIOS plastic distribution box at the street in Murrieta. They said they would not visit the site because they were not sure if it was their distribution box. They would not provide a method for a photograph of the damage to be emailed or sent in. The solution was to stay on the phone for 45 minutes until a supervisor could take the call. The representative on the line first reported that the supervisor would not take the call. Don't give up! That excuse was used when the supervisor was busy with another customer. There is only one supervisor for the 40 customer service representatives, so be calm and persistent when you need action instead of excuses. In regard to the speed and reliability of FIOS, the internet speed and reliability has been good through the years with Verizon and now with Frontier. Continuing that reliability is the reason the damage to the distribution box needed to be reported. read more

Worst service I have ever had. Actual service is spotty at best. Trying to get a person on the line is impossible. You have to go through AI Gig to try and get anything resolved. Making a service appt is ridiculous, two weeks out. Their confirmation system is horrible. I replied "keep" to confirm my appt and it was cancelled. I waited forever to chat with someone online and the appt was given away and I had to wait another 2 weeks. I am not being charged a $50 early termination fee, which I wouldn't be cancelling in the first place if their service didn't completely suck. I have now been on hold with them for over 2 1/2 hours, transferred 7 times, and had to explain my issue all 7 times as well as verify my account. I am trying to get the early term fee waived and the last month $45 waived. They offered me $12 refund. They offered me a $45 refund. And they offered me a $55 refund. How is this NEGOTIABLE depending on who I talk to? I have not received a full resolution, now it is under evaluation to see if they will refund me. I approached the service rep James who guaranteed me next day installation, the only reason I went with them was for the same day delivery, if not next day was fine. That didn't happen I was told three days later would be the installation date on my email and James confirmed it wouldn't be that way and my internet would come in today. So I called their store manager who reassured me my installation wouldnt be the day James told me and it would be the three days later like my email said. To be clear, this review is about Frontier's Internet service. IMO they are the best in the business for Internet. Their TV packages are still way too overpriced by the time you add the rental fees for the boxes, they price themselves out of what I am willing to pay for TV. This company has been to my apartment twice only to say they couldn't install because it needed to be re-wired and they didn't have the supplies. Said they would call me back and didn't. They can definitely compete for the absolute worst internet service. They require you to have an account code to verify and access your account. If you do not have one set up, or you can't remember your code, you have to wait 5-7 buisness days to receive a new code, then call back to access your account, make changes, or even cancel/suspend your services. They won't even verify with any person information, even an SSN won't suffice. Hopefully nothing you're needing is needing to be done immediately, or with any urgency. The only way this would make remote sense is if they are trying to protect your person information, but that is just a horrible and lazy work around for creating privacy for your customers. read more

Be prepared, in calling Frontier, to spend at least 30 minutes on the phone explaining why you called to at least 2-3 different people. (Unless you're signing up for service - no surprise that goes smoothly) I canceled service for a couple of reasons, including poor customer service. They let me cancel since I was out of contract. They said I had 2 routers that needed to be returned (why would I have 2? I have a mesh system set up). The person taking the cancellation call said they would send out a box and a label to return the router. I did within a few days of receiving. 3 months later, a withdrawal of $220 comes out of my banking account from Frontier (no warning emails, no calls, no bills, nothing). I call them up and they tell me they've never received the equipment. I give them the tracking number, the router number and am now being told it will be at least 3-5 business days before their "investigation" is complete. One of their reps even confirmed that the package was delivered to the San Jose address on the label, but a supervisor came on and said the rep was wrong. I also confirmed package delivery via UPS website. I'm going to dispute with the credit union to get the $'s back into the account, but I'm amazed the amount of time - so far one call of 45 minutes, another call of 35 minutes without resolution. read more

We switched to Frontier because their speed and pricing were better than our previous provider. We have been with them since November. So far, our internet speed is sporadic. It took more than two months to be able to access our account through their app. We were promised a $200 rebate in the form of a Visa card. That has not happened. When following the instructions from the app, it does not tell you how to report a rebate that was never received. Contacting them by phone is hopeless. So like many others, I'm completely irritated with Frontier Communications. The service was great when I had it. Installation is a hassle but whatever I can live. The reason I'm writing this is because of the complete lack of care for their consumers. I was in the middle of moving after having to deal with MONTHS of poor living conditions due to the property I was living on. I called Frontier to ask if my new address was serviceable by Frontier because I was genuinely satisfied with the service and already a loyal customer. I was told YES so I scheduled to move my services. During my appointment, no one showed up and no one called me. I followed up the next day where I received an apology and they rescheduled after confirming my address. Next day, no show and no call, AGAIN. I called later that same day only to be put on hold for 3 hours off and on with them transferring me. I was then told Frontier does NOT in fact service my area!!! Are you kidding???????? So after pulling teeth with them telling them to refund me for that month because I COULD NOT use my service and it was not fair to be charged, they claimed they'd refund me and I would see it back on my card in two to five business days. I shipped back the equipment timely but had to wait a month to hear about a refund. I called back to be told it'll be refunded on a prepaid card in 7 business days......it was not. Two weeks later I called and they told me it'd be another two months to actually receive it (November). So here I am in DECEMBER calling back to follow up and I'm told they did ship the prepaid card out and I should've received it. They gave me WireCard's number to contact them because Frontier had no way of tracking the card. I confirmed BEFORE hanging up what address they sent it to and the representative told me it was entered correctly, including my apartment number... When I called WireCard they confirmed Frontier DID NOT enter my apartment hence it getting lost in the mail. They just reissued another card and said it'll arrive in a week. I sure f* hope so.... It's not good to LIE to your customers. This isn't miscommunication. I confirmed with multiple Frontier representatives what my new address was and mentioned my apartment number to EACH PERSON. I was told I'd be refunded two different ways, three different time lengths. I recommended Frontier to EVERYONE before this happened to me. This is completely ridiculous. TRAIN YOUR PEOPLE BETTER. The worst, most unscrupulous, deceptive, dishonest, corrupt company you can ever deal with. Reps lie to you to keep you from downgrading or cancelling service. They sign you up for service you specifically said NO to. Installation people do shoddy jobs and don't even test whether what they did works properly. Good luck getting help from support. Most of the time the reps you talk to don't bother entering things into a ticket system so the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. If I could give Frontier zero stars I would. My husband and I have never had any issues with this company prior to this incident. We've been customers with Frontier for approximately four years and the services and representatives were great until recently. Unfortunately, some changes have been made within the company that are not for the betterment of this service provider in regards to retaining its customers and good reputation. For instance, the customer service representatives mislead you by misquoting you on your "package deals" for less than what you are later billed. After calling several times, waiting on hold and talking to various representatives, we finally spoke to a representative who later again misquoted us on our package only to find out that the bill had yet again increased over $90 dollars! Note. There was simply no agreement made upon any increase in changes to our services, and nobody likes to be mislead or surprised upon receiving their monthly bill. This happened twice, including attempting to cancel services after our contract was completed. At this time, we are waiting for Frontier to call us back on our final bill. ***I will update this review once I hear back from them. Save yourself some time and money by switching to another company as we have done now.
