I called to get long distance. Instead, the morons in customer service shut my phone off and I was without a dial tone for a week. I made it clear to the representative that I have a COPPER line - not digital voice - and though the representative said "no problem", that WAS the problem. She had put me on Digital Voice Long Distance Package and that's why I Iost my phone number. Anyone who called me said my number was "not in service". When that was finally fixed, the idiots at Frontier neglected to give me back my Caller ID and Voicemail. So, the way they have "fixed" this is, now I can't receive any phone calls at all - it rings (I have no idea who is calling because Caller ID is still not working) and I pick it up, "Hello?" NOTHING. Phone dies. People cannot call me anymore until I get this fixed. It's been FIVE days. When I check the status of the trouble ticket, it just gives me instructions for DIGITAL VOICE voicemail. These people are seriously OUT TO LUNCH. From past experience and because I'm a control freak who doesn't want the same mistake to happen again, I make it pre-school CLEAR that I HAVE COPPER. COPPER. Signed up for Frontier internet with Direct TV but decided to cancel the next day as it just did not fit our likings. They then ignored the cancelation and sent a box to the house we had just sold and left to which we did not request. What a nightmare to get rid of that box with some kind of equipment in it. When I got hold of Frontier on chat and asked for the nearest Frontier office they sent me out to an area off a dirt road that was a house and not a Frontier office. Consistently terrible service. They will not do what they promise and then will charge you to cancel. So bad they almost need a new category. Do not trust anything any representative of this company says because they will lie to get you to go away. They promised me a gift card and a discounted rate for a year for service. When the service did not perform as expected I changed to a lower price service that delivered what I was paying for. Because I did this I was charged an early termination fee and was told the discount was forfeit. I canceled soon after and was charged an additional disconnection fee. Was "assured" each day that the problem would be resolved and the technician would call and show up to complete my installation. Never happened. The company was able to get my installation rescheduled and on time for my move in, however, it took a lot of work to get there. I had to call every day to get updates from their customer service line, and every day I needed to "re-explain" the issue all over again as oftentimes the notes put on my case by previous reps would not show up for the new rep I was speaking to; Even the escalation department had trouble finding information about my case. Additionally, the phone customer service reps could not access and were unaware of, the conversations and information I had with the customer service team via Facebook messenger. Furthermore, neither the customer service department nor the escalation department could contact their installation team without going through a "middle-man" department called dispatch. Turns out everything was scheduled and ready to go from the start, according to my builder, who was one of only two groups able to get consistent contact with the installation team. There were various other frustrating oddities I encountered in my communications with Frontier: there was the escalation department rep who promised to followup every day until the issue was resolved but then went silent after day two having been unable to provide me any updates at all regarding my case; there were the numerous attempts made, or so I was told, to contact the installation/engineering team and dispatch team to no avail, or so I think because there was no followup, etc etc. The only team on Frontier seemingly able to contact the installation department was the one I contacted Via Facebook messenger. In summary, the company provides a good service, no internet problems as of yet, however, their inter-departmental communication is non-existent. The person I spoke with on the telephone NOW tells me that the technician will not arrive until 5:30PM and that my problem is an outage in the area that will most likely be resolved at 8:00PM tonight (That is AFTER Monday Night Football) and will get another person that will not resolve my issue or provide pertinent or valid information.(whew!). Frontier Communications has an online application that you submit the telephone number that is associated with you account and it will inform you of area outages; even NOW it states that there is not an outage in my area, which was the result yesterday when I made the first attempt to shed some light on the situation. I remained at my home the entire day, with two phones in my pocket as I performed chores around the house and in the yard, and never got a single update or courtesy call. Customer Service? I think not!! ...It is now 6PM and I have heard nothing from Frontier Communications and the field technician has not arrived or called to explain the delay. The service desk confirmed that someone would arrive by 5:30PM even though they were to arrive between the hours of 1:00PM and 5:00PM. I will call one last time to see what kind of story they will give me now. ...to be continued. 6:15PM and the Help Center is telling me that my ticket was never setup for a technical visit (NO ONE IS COMING!)..CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT? When signing up for new internet service I was told by 3 Frontier employees (the salesperson, customer service, and the installer) I can use my own router with and not pay a 10 dollar monthly rental fee. The first bill arrived and the is of course a reoccurring 10 dollar router rental charge. I contacted customer service to clear up the charge assuming an honest mistake. Well, Frontier is anything but honest. They confirmed their records show I'm not renting one but will not remove the reoccurring charge and are just going to keep charging me anyway? I've made four appointments for a physical tech to come out and guess what no one showed up and I called technical support . I explained to them my situation and told me that service is up in the area and I said that's a lie because I have asked my neighbor and he says internet isn't working . Worst service I have ever had. Actual service is spotty at best. Trying to get a person on the line is impossible. You have to go through AI Gig to try and get anything resolved. Making a service appt is ridiculous, two weeks out. Their confirmation system is horrible. I replied "keep" to confirm my appt and it was cancelled. I waited forever to chat with someone online and the appt was given away and I had to wait another 2 weeks. I am not being charged a $50 early termination fee, which I wouldn't be cancelling in the first place if their service didn't completely suck. I have now been on hold with them for over 2 1/2 hours, transferred 7 times, and had to explain my issue all 7 times as well as verify my account. I am trying to get the early term fee waived and the last month $45 waived. They offered me $12 refund. They offered me a $45 refund. And they offered me a $55 refund. How is this NEGOTIABLE depending on who I talk to? I have not received a full resolution, now it is under evaluation to see if they will refund me. I just called Frontier to cancel our service as we are moving out of state and there is no Frontier service available where we are moving. I was more than willing to return their equipment, but was told they could not provide the return labels and boxes to me before our moving date so I would need to take their equipment with me and return it from Texas. Then they proceeded to inform that I would be changed an early termination fee of $120 and a termination fee of $10 for discontinuing broadband internet. I could understand the fee if I was moving to another carrier, but certainly not because I am moving - and particularly since they don't provide their service in the town we're moving to.
