----Should have learned my lesson---- Bait and switch. Called in yesterday 12/5/2024. Asked for a quote for coil and spark plug replacement. Was quote a good price. I made sure to ask again to make sure I explained myself properly to make sure they heard me correct. Service adviser reaffirmed the price. I said I would call back. Spoke to my wife about it and she also believe it was a good price. I called back and asked for an appointment. I made sure again that he understood what the quote consisted of and made sure I heard the price was correct. Adviser said yes that's the price for the work. Fast forward to today 12/6. Adviser doesn't come in till 8 but was helped out by a different service adviser. He asked if I was given a quote I told him yes and told him the quoted price. He said that's not right. Just to do the spark plus it would cost the amount I was quoted. It would cost twice as much to perform all the work I was quoted over the phone. Was told to wait for the service advisor that I spoke to so he could talk with me. Have to wait an hr for this. Probably going to be a waste of my morning. Also per their phone answering service. They record all calls so if they have any issues with what I'm saying they can listen to my conversation with service tech. USN Veteran. read more

I walked onto this lot because I wanted to purchase a Tundra. I was greeted by a very friendly salesman who was professional and answered all of my questions. He walked inside to grab the keys on the vehicle so I could do a test drive. Instead of returning, a different sales guy came out and said that he would be helping me because he is "a manager". During the test drive this "manager" lied to me many times and said some very unprofessional things that were clearly not true. When we got to the end of the test drive I said that I liked the car but wanted to order one in a specific trim. He got very upset because I didn't want the one they had on the lot, and stormed off. As he was leaving I asked if there was anything else to do and he yelled "no". Apparently he didn't want to order the trim I wanted? It turns out he lied about being a manager. And is just a regular salesman named T Nguyen. So I had to go to a different dealership to get my car. Worst experience I've ever had at a dealership. Comical really. read more

While actively shopping, we were contacted by another dealership that had the exact vehicle we were looking for. Out of loyalty to Frontier Toyota, I reached out first to see whether you had something comparable available. I contacted Chris, one of your sales managers, who initially expressed strong interest in earning our business. However, upon arriving at the dealership, Chris was too busy to meet with us and instead handed us off to a floor salesperson. After spending a considerable amount of time there, I was told someone would follow up with me -- which never occurred. After being contacted again by another dealership that had the vehicle we wanted, I re-engaged Frontier Toyota one last time, believing that our long-standing loyalty would matter. Unfortunately, while we were temporarily out of town and fully prepared to place a deposit, we were informed that Frontier Toyota would not hold a vehicle for us and that our 20 years of loyalty would not result in any consideration beyond that given to a walk-in customer. This was extremely disappointing and frankly shocking. The level of customer appreciation and loyalty that once defined Frontier Toyota appears to be gone. The message we received was clear: long-term customers are no longer valued, and transactions are driven strictly by profit with no regard for established relationships. Based on this experience, we will no longer be doing business with Frontier Toyota and feel compelled to warn others to be cautious. No idea how they stay in business when you can always find the same cars for a couple grand less at multiple dealers within a 30 mile radius of this one. They also reneged on the price of a car I sold to them when it came time to pay me. I wanted a Land Cruiser. Salesperson and the manager told me to come in because they could pull one in transit. When I came in to do the paperwork he kept trying to push me into deals for the trucks they can't sell, then even tried to sell me a Prius... wtf? I brought my car in on a Saturday when it was really busy around 10am and my car was ready before 12 as promised. I think it's really cool how the assigned mechanic will also send you a video of them working on your car as well as provide some recommendations after doing an inspection. On Friday October 11, I went to Frontier to look at the 2025 Camry XSE . We are a Toyota family but I was curious about the Hyundai Sonata Limited Hybrid. A few days before , I was at Hyundai and sat down with them , I had left , obviously without making a purchase. I told them I would be going to Frontier to look at the Camry and that I know the Dealership very well, because we have made a purchase here before but we do have the 3 other Toyota's serviced there. I don't think they believed me that I was going to Frontier. So when I did make it to Frontier, I met John "JJ" . JJ, asked what I may be in the market for and I told him the , Camry XSE Hybrid. JJ, showed me a "White" Camry XSE and asked if I wanted to take it for a test drive (Something Hyundai never did ) . We took it for a spin and it was perfect, a bonus was this one was "All Whee Drive " . I had a 2018 Tacoma that I was looking to trade-in , JJ had to get his manager "Greg" involved for this part . Long story short, I didn't trade my Truck as my Tacoma had way to many features that they really couldn't count. After some negotiation time we got to a number I was comfortable with and closed on a deal. I kept my truck knowing I could sell it for more than they were willing to give me for it. Which is totally fine, They're a business and they aren't in business to lose money, I get that. JJ was great in the whole process, very laid back and very professional & knowledgeable about their vehicles . Upon my delivery, JJ took the time to show me how the majority of things worked and he helped me link the car to my phones apps. I've been going to Frontier for years and they've never disappointed!! I went to Frontier Toyota and they did it on the spot for free right at the service pull up and had me good to go in less than 2 minutes. I wouldn't recommend the sales department nor the service department. Let's start off with the sales department. Smug and literally you had to apply to be a customer. The sales team were more concerned for what they couldn't do rather than seeing what they could do. The service department does shoddy work. I had an oil change in my Corolla and the filter wasn't put on properly and lost 90% of the oil. Then, had a tire replaced and the next day the tire pressure indicator light came on. They also give their honest advice when asked about maintenance things, and not pushy on opinions. Sales sucked. Was shopping around various dealers and these guys are the prototypical folks out to scalp or get you. Unnecessary dealer addons, markup adjustments, intimidation tactics about scarcity, all the works of your typical horror story. They're nice when you're test driving but that's it. They don't seem to know cars (one gentleman told me use a hybrid instead of the 2.4T for towing...) and the salesmen are just for show. Did not end up buying from them because it was futile or they're simply not good humans, left nasty impressions on me. Service: as others mentioned, an appointment time means diddly squat. Maybe if you get the morning appts. Had to wait over 2.5 hours for an oil change after lunchtime. Asked specifically (with a sticky note) not to overfill the oil and they did make sure not to overfill. I was allowed into the shop to thank the tech too, so aside from the wait, it was an acceptable service experience. Appreciate the help from Alex and the work by Bill. Just used the oil change as a barometer if I'd consider Frontier's service dept in the future and they did pass the smell test, good! Much respect to the techs and parts guys who actually know or like the mechanics of cars, but the rest of the dealer is fluff they could get rid of just leeching off profits or scamming people. read more

My experience at Frontier Toyota was hands down the worst car service I have ever received. I came in for a simple oil change, but my service advisor's attitude did a complete 180 the moment I declined a $500 service add-on. From that moment on, I was treated with disrespect and blatant discrimination. She deliberately made me wait over three hours for what should have been a routine, quick service--almost as if she was punishing me for refusing the extra charge. After 3.5 hours of waiting, she finally called to tell me that certain parts needed replacing. When I told her I couldn't wait any longer and would schedule another time, she had the audacity to call me one minute later, aggressively trying to force me into getting the service done immediately, warning that I'd have to wait even longer in the future. Her tone was pushy, rude, and completely unprofessional. And to top it all off, while we were on the phone discussing the additional service, she hung up on me while I was still in the middle of speaking--without even saying goodbye. That level of disrespect and unprofessionalism was shocking. To make things even worse, when I arrived at her office, she kept me waiting for over 10 minutes while casually chatting with colleagues about non-business-related topics. She saw me standing outside, made eye contact, and still completely ignored me, despite knowing that I had to leave to pick up a family member battling cancer. Her carelessness and lack of empathy were disgusting--all because I didn't accept her service recommendations. It was crystal clear that she was deliberately punishing me and pressuring me into services in the most unethical way possible. I have never felt so disrespected and mistreated at a service center before. This was not just bad service--it was downright predatory. We were looking for a new vehicle to purchase and Jesus gave us a lot of options to look at base on our budget, what type of vehicle, & the features it has. A few months ago, my family and I were helped by Dean Stricker at Frontier Toyota in Santa Clarita. We've been coming to this dealership for service for several years without issues. At that time, we specifically asked for an oil change, something we've regularly done every 5,000 miles on all our vehicles. Dean agreed to the service, but when we returned to pick up the car, he told us it wasn't done because "they only perform oil changes every 10,000 miles." This simply isn't true -- we've had 5,000-mile oil changes done at this very dealership before, multiple times. Not only was the oil change skipped, but we were charged under our prepaid service plan for a service we didn't request. When we questioned it, Dean was incredibly rude and dismissive. Unfortunately, we had to deal with him again today. While double-checking to ensure the oil change was actually performed this time, he made a snide remark as I was walking out the door, again insisting they only do oil changes every 10,000 miles -- with an unnecessary attitude. It's insane how this trash dealership has so many positive reviews, but then again, people in Awesometown throw their money at nonsense anyway and don't know any better. I never bring my car to an oil change here since it's just a corolla and my everyday work car. But with my Mercedes and Acura, those always go to the dealer. So this time I figured I give the Toyota dealer a shot. They were already shady and stingy when I bought the car and wanted to charge me for door panel protectors without telling me so we haven't had the best history. When I first pulled into the service area, I didn't even get out of my car when one of the associates came over with her clipboard and started asking who my service agent was. I said I called the general service line and scheduled so they didn't tell me who my agent was. She sighed and said "fine what's your name". Attitude much? I was helped by Lauren and just wanted an oil change. When she checked me in she said the price was $132 and included tire rotation. Since everything is going up in cost, I was surprised but also not since it had been a while since my last oil change on any of my cars. But I did ask if the tire rotation was extra, to which she said "no it's all included". Fine let's go with it. While waiting, which mind you, took over 2 hours for just an oil change (ludicrous) she came over and told me about some cracking on my tires I didn't notice along with quotes for two different sets of tires, Eagle at $688 and Yokohama at $715, WITHOUT installation. Installation would be another $100+. Even with inflation, I knew those prices were absurd so I called my local shop and got a set for $440. When I said this, she said fine but then sent another guy to ask me about the prices. When I said it, he said he could take off installation for the cheaper tires. Okay? So the tires would still be $688 - almost $250 more. When I said "no I'll stick to my own shop" he was almost shocked and couldn't believe I wasn't going to drop extra cash on tires at a dealership. Sorry buddy, no commission for you today. Also, about 1 hour into waiting, I get a text message saying I can track my car's progress. Okay that's neat, never seen that before. Well they didn't even send the right car to me and I was sent photos and info from a completely different car. Lack of privacy much? So here's where I find out the sneakiness of the dealership - when I go to pay for everything, my new total is $102 because they didn't do the rotation, which, from the start, I was under the impression was included in the original price and not an "extra" charge. I also noticed on my Vehicle inspection report the areas for "tire rotation" and "tire damage" are marked with the green square - uh, if I need new tires and they didn't rotate them, how is the inspection in the "green"? Started the day to look at cars at the dealership and yes, we all know the "vulture" mentality with the sales representatives. It is their job and we have to not hold it against them. It's a way of business and let me tell you, they are good! I had such a great experience with Jesus as my sales rep, Francisco as my financial rep, and Greg as the manger. Jesus greeted us in a warmly manner and started to ask the typical questions of what I am looking for. We started to look at models that I was interested in and others that possibly down the road interested in. We test drove a few and throughout the whole process I never felt pressured into buying but sure enough I ended up purchasing exactly what I wanted. The whole experience was very informative and fun to see what was offered. How often can you say, "I had such a blast at the dealership and buying a car!" It feels like a dream, a damn good dream, but it could not all be possible with the help of the Toyota team.
