Marinated And Deep Fried Cornish Hen

I'm very been coming here for over 20years. I've always considered this place to be my go to top choice in the city for traditional Vietnamese offerings. My favorites are the spring rolls, egg rolls, shaking beef, cornish hen, and beef pho.

Love this cute Metairie gem!!!! Everything is made to order fresh, food is always hot... fresh smoothies are so much healthier there than other smoothie places. And the service is quick!!!!!

This is the best boba place to go. Their slushies are always fresh and you can mix your favorites. My favorite is mango Kiwi with lychee burst bubbles. I go there so much that they know my order by heart. The service is fast whether it's the boba or their delish Vietnamese dishes. The place is bright and friendly and a wall area to take a snapshot.

I LOVE Frosty's. Anytime I want to treat myself I stop in to get some Spring Rolls or D1. (Com Bo Luc Luc which is Marinated flank steak served with white rice with lettuce, cucumber , and tomatoes. I usually add 2 eggs to the order also). The Boba drinks are phenomenal also. Fresh fruit with ice and boba. I have tried different combinations of watermelon and pineapple, watermelon and cantaloupe, in addition to other fruit combinations. It is refreshing and satisfying to go along with your meal. Dan the owner is GREAT. Always energetic and engaging as well as upbeat when he is working with you and taking your order. The environment is intimate and music is soothing while you eat your food. I enjoy doing work here while I eat or having a small getaway while out in the field. Do yourself a favor and stop in and try some great food with a refreshing and satisfying drink to boost or end your day. You will not be disappointed and your stomach will thank you for it lol.

Chicken Banh Mi. Very dry, came with a side of ranch which is new for your traditional Banh Mi. It had no jalapeños, no cilantro, no pickled veggies. Very disappointed

I just revisited after seven years and nothing has changed - best fruit slushie/smoothie in NOLA. And rice dishes are excellent.

I have a love/hate that they change their menu because I thought I did my due diligence and studied the menu and precious Yelp reviews to prepare what to order. But then the menu changed but it was fine bc Nico helped steer us to all the good stuff! We ordered a bunch of dishes and ate family style so we could try everything! The stand outs to me were the Pani Puri with the fiery mint water that you pour and lets you control the heat (you eat it in one bite), the Pork Dan Dan Buco Di Creste noodles (we asked not too spicy, we're getting older! Haha ), the Gulf Shrimp Pakora, and the ice cream pie from Lucy Boone! Mister Mao is where the old Dick and Jenny's restaurant used to be across from Rouse's on Tchoupitoulas. It's a little pricey but so worth it for a fancy night out!! And ask for Nico, he's the best!!

Recommendations (note- we ordered all the spices and sauces to the side because we have low spice…read moretolerance LOL): The hanger steak was my favorite. It had such a nice smoky flavor and was absolutely delicious. The broken rice was very creamy and delicious. However, the title is misleading because it was more like grits with cheese on top. The Prahok Ktiss was pretty flavorful and authentic, but there weren't enough sesame chips that came with the dish to balance out the spiciness of the paste. We asked our waiter if we could get more chips, which they said they weren't able to do. As an Asian American, I could tell that the chips were an inexpensive snack that you could buy from the grocery store, so I thought it was odd that they couldn't fulfill that request. I loved the pani puri! The presentation was beautiful and the strawberry oddly went well with the dish. Do not recommend: The Kashmiri fried chicken tasted dry. Crab pasta- I forgot the name, but it didn't have much flavor and I didn't taste the crab. Service: friendly and attentive. Overall, the food isn't the most authentic but some of the dishes were unique and tasty.

I ordered the shrimp pho and was pleasantly surprised. The broth was light but still packed with flavor. It didn't feel heavy, but it still hit the spot. They were generous with the shrimp. They were a good size and there were plenty of them. I left full and satisfied. The space itself is cute and tucked into a tiny strip mall, nothing over the top but still a nice vibe for a casual meal. Service was excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The only downside was that they were out of quite a few items. The staff mentioned it was because we came on the later side of the early evening (around 4 pm), which felt a little early to be running low, but not a dealbreaker. Overall, a solid find and I'll return the next time I'm in town.
