Frosty's has the best bubble tea in town, without contest. They also have really great Vietnamese dishes, with more food than you would expect to get in each dish. the tables are small and very close together, but the owners are friendly and the other tables are usually other regular patrons who don't mind the close quarters. RACISTS!!!! I work very close to Frosty's Caffe and LOVED going there until my horrible experience over the weekend on June 25, 2016. Long story but everyone needs to hear this. First of all everyone at my job loves to eat here and we love love the bubble tea. My co-worker and I were at work on 6/25 and we wanted to order for pick-up. So I called and ordered my favorite tofu spring rolls and I wanted to try the avocado and cheese sandwich. When placing the order I ask what came on the sandwich. The gentleman told me only cheese and avocado so I said okay. I don't eat meat so that part was fine. So, my co-worker picked it up and when he came back and gave me the sandwich I was very shocked!!! The Po boy bread was hard as a rock and the sandwich was thrown together when I opened it. I tried to take a small bite and the bread broke off a small piece. I immediately called down to Frosty's to tell them that I was not pleased with the sandwich and I could not eat it and could I bring it back. The gentleman said, "I told you what was on the sandwich and that it came plain". I said, "Yes you did that's not the issue its too hard and does not look great". He said yes bring it back and I said okay I'm at work I will try to come as soon as it slows down here at work. So almost 45 mins later I walk in and he's helping a customer so I decided to move away from the customer so they would not see that I was bringing food back. I did not want to have a bad impression for that customer. I went to the counter and its the same Gentleman that is always there whenever I go. I started to tell him who I was and he cut me off and said, "oh you are the one who called about the sandwich". I said yes. So as I was handing him the sandwich to show him how displeased I was with it, he then Snatched it out of my hand from across the counter and threw it onto another counter where they prepare the teas. My mouth flew wide open and I said, the bread is hard and it does not look right in the inside its thrown together and I'm shocked that you all prepared my sandwich this way. I told him they never send food out like that. He then said, "But you ate off it and now your trying to bring me this sandwich back and hour later so that's why its hard" I said, NO it was hard when I got it so that's why I called you immediately! So he started to get cash outta of the register and I was about to hand him my credit card because that's how I purchased it. But he then said, Ive been here 16yrs and no one has ever brought food back. And I said I'm sure they haven't cause your food is good. I then said I have a bubble tea order that my co-worker would like. I laid the credit card on the counter and the gentleman gave me my cash from the sandwich (which was $4.50) and he said, GO AND EAT WHERE YOU EAT AT MC DONALD'S!!! Don't come back here and your money is not good here. And I said, what did you say??? So he repeated it again and I said, I DON'T EAT MC DONALD'S, I DON'T EAT MEAT!!!! He then said, take your card back I'm not making anything for you and don't come back here! I looked around and there was a young couple standing there in SHOCK like myself and trying not to look at me or the gentleman. An employee was behind me eating and he stopped eating to listen. I said, Okay guess what I WON'T come back here and I will make sure to tell my co-workers NOT to come here anymore as well and anyone else I know! He said, yea yea good and waved his hand at me like as if he was moving a fly out of his face! I was so shocked and in disbelief that I walked out and thought, DID THIS JUST HAPPEN????? So, I have to say, Bye Bye Frosty's Caffe and I will make sure that THIS post stay on their website. My co-worker could not believe it and that I came back empty handed! He said that he had been to New York, California and many other city's and NO ONE makes Bubble Tea like Frosty's Caffe and now he will stop eating there as well!!! Who would think a pork chop over white rice could taste so good? I saw the reviews here on Yelp and had to try Frosty's for myself. I got the Pork Chop over white rice. It cost $7.95. It came with a Tomato Cucumber Salad and an egg roll. Add Fish Sauce, and it was a really tasty meal. They must have marinated the Pork in a sweet marinade. It had a wonderful flavor. My rating is really more like 4 1/2 stars, with a small ding for the place being a little warm (it's October, so the weather is mild outside) and cramped. I wish I could give this place more than a 5! Seriously the best bubble tea in town. I've seen this man work everyday except Sundays! He works so hard and I can tell that he loves what he does. If you haven't visited this little cafe you need to! My whole family has been going for about 10 years! I love the environment, and he also expanded a few years ago! A lot more room and comfort. I really enjoy the food here. Everything I have tried has been very good. My favorite dish is the Grilled Pork Bon Mi. The bread is great and so is the pork. I'm not sure if there could be a possible better tasting bubble tea than their coconut-taro. The place has been enlarged but the parking is not the best. I just revisited after seven years and nothing has changed - best fruit slushie/smoothie in NOLA. And rice dishes are excellent.

Ordered the pho tai for my son. He wasnt happy with it. He likes the authentic noodles that normally come in the pho. Dont know if this is always or just this particular day but they used what was vermicilli-like noodles. Guess what - it makes a difference. Not sure if we will try another time. read more

Frosty's has fantastic pho, goi cuon (spring rolls), bun thit nuong (barbecued meat, vegetables, etc.), salads, and more. The bubble tea is also great. My favorite is strawberry (made with fresh strawberries) without milk with or without the taro "bubbles." I've always had great service there as well. Prices are excellent---not very expensive at all. I usually get take-out, but occasionally have eaten there (I can't remember how many tables they have, but I think it's at least 8). I think it's easy to find---it's off Veterans Blvd on Cleary (not far off the corner of Veterans and Cleary on the "lake" side of Cleary for those of you who know directions in the "New Orleans way"); Cleary is between Causeway Blvd. and Clearview Parkway. read more

TO ANY PEOPLE OF COLOR, do not sponsor or patron this particular Frosty's Caffe. I'd gone in, as I have before, and ordered a mango smoothie. I prefer not to have sugar in my drink, so I asked the guy fixing it not to add any. I have been to the west bank location several times without conflict. The west bank location even suggested skipping the "sweet n low" and going without sugar. No problems. Well not at this locale!! The first drink was basically made a fruit JUICE. I'd walked to my car and had to turn around to go back in. As I sat the drink on the counter and told the guy the drink was too loose, he(with a lot of aggression) tossed the drink in the trash... Okay! He then went on a tangent about how not putting sugar in the drink will break his blender. Now, I know with any establishment that things vary but this was ridiculous. He made it a point to blend the drink three different times, all while complaining, and I believe to waste time as I was the only person there waiting. He complained so much until I really didn't want the smoothie. Afterwards he asked, "is that good enough?" which I found offensive, as this is a place where SMOOTHIES ARE MADE!!!! His disposition was horrible, and I wouldn't recommend anyone (ESPECIALLY A PERSON OF COLOR) support this business. As I left, he suggested I "go to the west bank location" for the smoothie that I usually get. The service this guy provided is unacceptable to anyone.
