Elegant perfection. If I had to describe Kingsway in two words, those are the two I would choose. This is absolutely a fine dining experience and you feel it first upon entering this beautifully decorated space. My husband's and my choices were all delicious, and my favorites were: Crab, Brie and champagne soup - rich but not heavy and I don't even know how that's possible, but it is. Tuna Solera - bright, fresh and flavorful Coconut Cloud - I can't even explain how much I loved this dessert. The flavors, the different textures - what a treat. The service was some of the best I've received ANYWHERE. The staff has a quiet concern for the diners. We never had an empty water glass and were checked on regularly. Each dish was explained upon delivery. Impeccable. This was truly a dining EXPERIENCE.

Another home run from Saffron chef Ashton Vilkhu. Asian fusion/contemporary menu with a variety of influences from stir fry noodles to izakaya, as well as a decent bit of gulf coast flair with shrimp and seafood offerings. Menu is prefixe style consisting of 4 courses and 3 options for each course. Everything well executed and balanced. Superb service, it seems there were at least 1-2 busboys or staff assisting the server. Had a hard time narrowing down my cocktail choice, but settled on the Day Dreamer, which was light and juicy but not too sweet. Great non alcoholic options too including this coconut Ube mocktail that was very popular among tables around us. Interior is clean and warm. You can tell there was thought put into every detail. Even the forks were unique. Definitely could see this being a great spot for a special date night or bringing guests to see the best of what Nola has to offer.

Went for my husbands 40. Service and ambience were superb. Chef came and checked on us and his vision for the restaurant has manifested.

Thoughtful cocktails, fine wines, French portions, delicious set/selection menu, visually enchanting desserts. Service is attentive tho sometimes desiring. Soothing and stunning interior design.

I truly had a 5-star experience. This has been on my "to try" list since I heard about its opening & I'm so glad I finally got the chance to go in. The restaurant is beautiful. I was quite obsessed with the mirror and the lights in the dining area. The service was stellar. All of the staff was delightful. The host saw the gift bag I had for my friend & asked whose birthday it was & I said kind of both of ours (they are days apart). After seating us, she went back to the hostess stand & wrote a "happy birthday ladies" sign & put it on the table. Each of the staff that came to the table told us happy birthday, which was super sweet. They also put a birthday candle in each of our desserts. Then, our waiter sent us home with menus that had "happy birthday" written on them. I loved that. I also loved that whoever brought a dish over explained in detail what the dish was. Now...the food & drink....superb. I usually only get one cocktail but I was so torn between two of them, I got them both. And both were delicious. The first was the Jade Dragon - perfectly balanced, the Thai basil comes through, and loved the toasted coconut & sugar disc decoration. The second (my fave) was the Clear Eyes, Full Hearts - cognac, smoked mango, lemon, milk, kombu-infused manzanilla. I can't even describe the taste, just try it for yourself because it's good. I love their ice mold designs too. Now for food...the milk boule started us off on a high note. The milk bread was so light & fluffy & the sea salt flakes on top...perfection. The tomato-miso butter was also delicious. I could eat that combo all day & I'm not even a big bread fan. I went with the pork spare rib, tamarind pork belly, duck confit, and pound cake. The rib was tender & delicious. Loved the mango salad & the sauce. Same for the pork belly, loved the sauce. I could eat it again and again. The duck was super crispy & seasoned perfectly. The sour cherry was so good with each bite. I tasted my friend's sweet & sour gulf fish too and I would totally order that. That sauce is a winner as well. The pound cake was moist & not too sweet just how I like my desserts. Loved the ice cream with it. I tasted the key lime pie too & it was great too. Not a single miss at this dinner. Seriously one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time (and I do quite a bit of dining). I will definitely be back.

The Kingsway was one of the best meals Ive had in a while! The service from start to finish was very attentive. The decor was minimal yet beautiful but the star of the show was most definitely the food! The soup was very flavorful, a bit rich but so many complementary flavors. I really enjoyed the tuna solera was delicious with the aged chili giving it just the right amount of heat. The second course I had the ABC chicken which was crispy and delicious. I also tried the salted shrimp and the shrimp was well seasoned but I loved the cabbage that accompanied it! My third course, the snapper, was my least favorite course not because it wasnt good but the first two courses were bursting with flavor and this dish was milder in flavor but still enjoyable nonetheless! To finish our meal we all opted for the chocolate cake and it was the best chocolate cake Ive ever had and I am not a chocolate lover but it was delightful. The portion sizes of each course was just right. Forgot to mention our drinks. We all ordered the pai gow which is the dealers choice drink. You let the server know which liquor and flavors you enjoy and they surprise you with a cocktail and we ALL loved our dealer's choice. Just trust the bartender and step out on faith. This was a culinary experience and I cant wait to go back

Ambiance - stellar. Sooo cute and modern! Service - excellent. Our waiter was so pleasant. Food - soooo good! I told my husband halfway through that my taste buds were dancing haha. From the duck to the crab soup to the lamb dish...all cooked and presented so delicately. 10/10!

Our favorite. The milk bread (don't forget that butter!)

White tablecloth. I wore a short silk black dress with comfy wedge sandals and did not feel over or underdressed. My husband wore a button down shirt with slacks and nice sneakers. Service was excellent. Dishes looked beautiful. Unfortunately a lot of the dishes had flaws, particularly with the proteins. There is a milk bread and butter that came before the meal--that was our favorite course--nothing short of perfection. Each course has three options and the menu (including the cocktail list I think) changes--how often, I am not sure. It was just beginning to be spring outside. For our first course we chose the soup and a dumpling. Soup was a seafood cream based soup. It was delicious and met our expectations. The mushrooms and broth that came with the dumpling were so so good. But the wrapping on the dumpling was either a touch too thick or under-steamed? For our second course we had the pork belly and the lamb. Lamb was flavorful but the pork belly was dry and hard. For the third dish we got the fish and duck confit. The duck was dry and much to our dismay, the fish was overcooked. But the sauces and vegetables that came with both of those dishes were delightful. Neither my husband nor I are huge dessert people but the fourth course is dessert. We chose a banana pound cake (the sichuan peppercorn ice cream was the star of that plate) and this coconut cloud dish (a sorbet but with so much other stuff going on). Both were phenomenal. They have a bar that seats maybe eight(?) people that's first come, first serve, where you can order à la carte. I think that'd be our next visit to Kingsway: a couple cocktails (I had two cocktails, both of which were perfectly balanced) and five orders of that milk bread please. Fixed menu is $95/person.

First visit to The Kingsway and it won't be the last! Everything about the restaurant is fantastic! We started with cocktails. My husband and I decide to order Pai Gow - Dealer's Choice (bartender's choice!) The only request I had was Vodka based and my husband's request was a bourbon drink. The bartender hit a home run! We loved our drinks! For the first course we had the crab & brie bisque and tuna solera. Second course we both ordered the salt baked shrimp. Third course I had the snapper and husband ordered the steak. Fourth course key lime pie and chocolate cake. Everything was absolutely delicious! Service was amazing! Treat yourself to this fabulous new restaurant!

Dive bar vibe is the feels. String lights, old creaky floors, big bay window, lots of outdoor seats, plenty of bar for us all! Total NOLA vibe! Bartenders were cool. I got a bit inebriated twice here and ate here once. Love that I could just walk back to my swanky hotel. Solid choice, C! Check out Hotel Henrietta if you are nearby. I asked the guy behind the what he recommended. Instantly he said "the mussels". You don't have to say another word, bruh. I had the mussels for my meal, obviously. Wow. They were perfect. The sauce was amazing, not sure what the white shit was, don't partake in that mess. The mussels were expertly cooked and seemed really fresh. The hand cut fries were also really good. I loved this meal and this joint! If I were local, I'd be a regular for sure. Get your ass in here if you can. I would advise getting the mussels. 100% '26 - 95

Chimmay on tap was dry but a Fin Du Monde was available to save the night. Big portion of house mushrooms had some bonus artichoke hearts and peppers in there for a nice surprise. The Vintage - New Orleans, LA…read more The Vintage on Magazine Street was our very first food stop in New Orleans, and it turned out to be a great way for my wife and me to start our trip. From the moment we walked in, I really liked the atmosphere. The place has a cool, relaxed New Orleans vibe with a little bit of an upscale café feel without being overly fancy. It's the kind of spot where you can come in, sit down, enjoy some good food and drinks, and just take your time. Of course, we couldn't come to New Orleans and not start things off with beignets! We decided to go with the Fancy Beignet Flight, which gave us a chance to try several different flavors. We got the raspberry, s'mores, and Chantilly. They came out looking almost too good to eat, covered in powdered sugar with all the different fillings and toppings. Almost... because we definitely ate them! They were warm, sweet, messy in the best possible way, and a fun introduction to our New Orleans food adventure. For my meal, I ordered the Italian Panini with the truffle Parmesan fries. The sandwich was packed with meat, cheese, and flavor. Looking at that cross-section, they definitely weren't being stingy with the fillings! The bread was toasted nicely, and everything worked well together. The truffle fries were another highlight. They had plenty of seasoning and Parmesan and paired perfectly with the sandwich. I also grabbed a small iced mocha, which went really well with the food and especially the beignets. One thing I really enjoyed about The Vintage was the atmosphere. The interior has a lot of character, from the marble tables and vintage-style flooring to the bar and pastry display. It feels like a place that belongs on Magazine Street. It was comfortable enough that we didn't feel rushed and could just enjoy being in New Orleans together. The service was good during our visit, and everything came together for a really enjoyable first meal in the city. Our bill came to around $48 after tax and tip for the two of us, and considering we had a sandwich, upgraded fries, drinks, and the beignet flight, I thought it was a good experience for the money. Most importantly, this place gave my wife and me a great start to our New Orleans trip. When your first stop includes a loaded Italian panini, truffle Parmesan fries, iced coffee, and a whole flight of beignets, you know the trip is starting off right! Definitely a place I would visit again. Great food, great atmosphere, and a great first taste of New Orleans. 5 stars from us!

Still a New Orleans Gem - Visitor since 2018!…read more I'm updating my review as of April 2026 because it's important for visitors to know that The Vintage has absolutely "still got it." My last review was in 2020, and I'm happy to report that the quality and atmosphere remain top notch. Whether you are looking for a morning pick up or an evening wind-down, this spot covers all the bases. Their beignets and coffee are a classic must have, and I can personally vouch for their Americano. It is consistently well made and delicious. They also have a great selection of beer and cocktails if you're looking for something a bit stronger. What really sets this place apart, though, is the hospitality. We have always had great interactions with the staff, but a special shout out goes to Jimmy, whom we met this past week. He was incredibly kind and hospitable, truly making us feel right at home. Jimmy if you are reading this, THANK YOU!! If you want a spot that feels authentic, welcoming, and consistently excellent, put The Vintage at the top of your list!
