I've drank a lot of Vietnamese coffee (cafe su da) and the one I got from here has the perfect combination of amount of drink, ice, coffee, and sweetness. I could tell by the color of the drink that it would be good. A taste verifies that it wasn't too sweet (too much condensed milk), too watered down, or have too much ice (not enough coffee). If I could take a gallon of this home with me, I'd be so happy! The shrimp spring rolls were presented well, and had fresh ingredients. Pho was tasty, served with a nice portion of veggies ( ean sprouts, jalapeno peppers, lime wedges, and basil. The grilled pork and egg roll vermicelli was another dish that looked and tasted so good. We live on the north shore and had never even heard of this place prior to today, but we decided to stop in on our way home from the airport. And we're sure glad we did. Holy wow. Arguably the best banh mi we've ever had. We ordered two pork sandwiches to go and split one as soon as we got home. We had a meatball bahn mi and it is not exactly meatballs but lots of ground meat with lots of good flavors in it (fresh jalapeños, cilantro, carrots, cucumbers). It was my first time at this little cute restaurant. I came here with a friend, who occasionally comes here to eat. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted by our server Long. Even though my friend hasn't been there in a while, he remembered exactly what she liked food-wise and immediately asked her if she'd like to order her usual. We ordered sushi and 2 different salads. Food was delicious! Sushi had a very thin layer of rice, fresh fish. Salads had sauces on the side, which I thought was unusual, but I liked it. I'm sure all customers are different, some want less sause, some want more... We asked for extra ginger, Long gave us a whole bowl of ginger. Of course, we ate it all haha. Honestly one of the best Banh Mi I've had around Metairie. What really makes the sandwich shine is the delicious bread. I got the soup and banh mi combo which was around $11. It was reasonably priced and the perfect amount of food. I really recommend the combo because the wonton soup includes shrimp, crab stick, and wontons and was great. I brought her here one day and out waitress, who said her and her family owned it, was so incredibly rude to my grandmother when she spoke to her in Vietnamese and asked her questions about the food. I love Vietnamese food but I have to say that Fusion's pho is tasteless and pretty disappointing. For starters the bowl is smaller than at most other Vietnamese restaurants. They also don't put as much beef in their pho as others. And to top it off the broth just doesn't have any taste. I have ordered sushi here a few times. The sushi is quite good and the sushi menu has about 30 different choices. Lots of families like this place too because they have items on the menu that kids love like chicken tenders, chicken nuggets, and bubble teas. The service is usually good as the staff is pretty attentive and upbeat. This is my go-to Vietnamese spot in my neighborhood. It's been around for about 6 years and I've been frequenting it since it first opened. It's always really good and quick. It's less than a 2 minute drive from my house, so I usually get my food to-go. Although, I have dined-in as well. The space is modern and very clean it's a decent size with about 8-10 tables and the staff is really friendly. This place definitely gets 5 stars because I'm always really pleased with everything I order, the portions are really nice and the price is very reasonable... plus it's just so convenient and close by! They have a really large menu with big variety. They offer everything from fried shrimp poboys, meat pies, fried shrimp salad, bahn mi, vermicelli bowls, rice plates, and a full on sushi menu, with typical offerings like squid salad, edamame, miso soup... etc. I love the Rare Beef Pho and the Chargrilled Pork Bahn Mi. The sushi is also really great and super fresh. I like to keep it simple with my favorites - the Salmon Avocado Roll and the Tuna Avocado roll, however a number the specialty rolls look really great too! My mom and brother really like the bubble teas as well. They do close promptly at 7:45pm sometimes even 7:30, 7:00 on Saturday and Closed on Sundays. So I tend to come here early -- if I'm in the mood for Vietnamese later in the evening or it's a Sunday I head over to Pho Orchid, which also has a great menu! read more
