    Biscuits & gravy

This is actually a hotel restaurant but it is open for all. It's small & not too crowded for late breakfast. Service was good, little slow but we didn't tell her we were on a schedule. Drinks were ok, we all tried an aperol spritz - very bitter but that seems to be that drink. The lemon blueberry pancakes were nice, needed more toppings. The sausage gravy was overly -thick & gummy, kind of cold & not much given to put on a biscuit. Bacon & eggs were cooked right & toast was good. Chicken & waffles were okay, waffle was a little soft & chicken a little more done than we liked overall, food & decor were nice & gets you fed.

A cool restaurant in a very cool hotel. The service was excellent, prompt and friendly. The food was fantastic and served on festive holiday plates. Great selections for brunch along with a variety of coffees, teas, cocktails and fresh pressed organic juices.

Came here durning a work conference with some coworkers. The food was good. I enjoyed the breakfast drinks. The prices were high, but the issue over all was the service. The waitress seemed super annoyed that we were there. Over all people in Nashville mostly came off as rude, so many this is normal? Being from Texas the southern hospitality here was lacking. Ambiance was fine. It was a cute little place. Over all I enjoyed the meal, but probably wouldn't be back. They are also only open until 2pm so keep that in mind.

Cute little spot inside our hotel. The menu had a nice variety and they offer some boozy morning options as well. The coffee was good and a decent strength, which is always important. I definitely recommend the cinnamon rolls and the egg sandwich with potatoes. Those potatoes were really tasty. Definitely worth a visit! The service was a little glitchy, there seemed to be some disconnect between employees themselves and customers, but since the food was good, I only felt it deserved a 1 star deduction. Hopefully, it was just an off morning. Still worth a visit! Update: went a 2nd morning, food consistently good, but the service is just not good unfortunately. Not busy, but still fail to follow up or check in on us, and on their phone/distracted while we sat there waiting to order and for our check. Food honestly is 4-5 stars, but service got worse maybe 2 stars. Would we eat there again next time in Nashville, possibly, but only if staying at Holston House.

TENN located in the Hyatt hotel which is walking distance from all downtown hotels. Love that this is a brunch spot so my husband and I decided to check it out. We walked over and waited for a good amount of time before we were acknowledged to get a seat. I was surprised since a handful of employees walked by us. We finally got seated and it took awhile for a server to come and greet us. Once we were greeted, we got our waters, ordered coffee, and food. There was a wait for our coffee. We were right by the coffee bar so I watched when our order would be up. The baristas were hanging out so I figured our waitress didn't put in our order yet. Once we saw our waitress hanging out she noticed we didn't have our coffees and started making them. Not sure why the service was so slow all around except with the food. Overall, everyone was really nice but didn't understand the lack of acknowledgment and slower service when the restaurant wasn't busy. For brunch, my husband ordered the loaded bowl with steak. It was great! Steak was cooked medium and came out just right. The bowl was topped with a paprika aioli. Diner vibes. Loved the colors. Would come back for the food but not the service.

The staff was extremely helpful and engaging. The drip coffee was great. I sat at the bar so getting great service was convenient. The Sammy I ordered was not good and $16. I don't know if it was due to how Smokey the bacon was but it took over the whole sandwich so I didn't come close to finishing it. I definitely would not order it again. I am sure there are other items on the menu that may be worth going again for.

This is connected to the Holston House so it was an easy breakfast location since they are connected. We had a sampling of everything with the our choice. Everything was great except the biscuits. They were quite dry and there wasn't enough gravy to counteract the dryness. Overall, a good experience. We would be back.

This place was a big disappointment. The food was burnt so bad and the pancakes were hard to swallow they were so dry

Visited July 22, 2023. Honestly food taste is about a 4/5. The Avocado toast is 5/5, absolutely recommend. Also ordered the chicken biscuit. The chicken was flavored beautifully but the biscuit and potatoes was dry. The price was 50% more expensive than other places in the area with the same items and portion. TENN's ambiance is scaled nicer so I wouldn't mind paying the price if the food was perfect and service was better. Arguably my table asked for more time with the menu when I was ready to order but our server disappeared for 15 minutes before coming back to take our orders. I was getting impatient because I brought my toddler & worried she'd be hangry. I'm not sure if there's a pooled tipping system, but when our food arrived none of the staff came to refill our water and there were a lot of servers before they slowed for their mid-day staff meeting. The manager was so kind to let us know that they are about to have a staff meetings so we weren't feeling some type of way when everyone disappeared. There is a parking lot across the street BUT they validate Valet Parking so please use the service! It's much more convenience and will save you the stress of finding cheaper alternatives!

Not great! Food is very average. Service was slow because there wasn't enough staff. The staff that was there was working very hard.

We came here for late dinner, 8.30 and this place was not packed which is very surprising, bc they play music jazz music, and you can have a lovely dinner and still hear ppl talk. But the best thing is their pork chop !!! This is a must get. Thank me later. We got the pork chop medium well bc we like our pork more cooked bc ain't no one trying to get salmonella from undercooked pork. But it was sooo good, has a nice char on the outside, and perfectly seasoned. Additionally, it sits on top of a bed of allegedly "rice" according to our server. But to me, it reminded me of a tendon brisket texture. I would've bet money on it too. But delicious with sweet peach sauce that came with it. For the prime rib, it was a huge cut of meat, but it was lacking flavor, needed some more salt and some rosemary to bring out the meat. Both main dishes can serve 2 people each, so worth the price and food. Definitely come back! And a shout out to our server Cole, who was great

Anyways the staff is really helpful. For the table, we ordered the nachos (didn't add chicken) and surprisingly it was pretty good! I would have liked for the toppings to be spread out amongst the chips (once you get to the middle, bottom they were empty). For my drink, I decided to try their bridesmaid's tears and this drink was just ok. It watered down very easily and didn't really have much flavor. I ordered the catfish and subbed fries instead of the grits and it came with collard greens. This meal was ok but the catfish wasn't fried hard (as I requested) and the greens were too vinegar based. The fries, however, were good! The sauce they offered - crawfish cream sauce - was way too oily and didn't have good flavor. Would've preferred a tartar sauce, though. Overall, the spot was ok. We had read somewhere that Acme Feed & Seed (in an historic 1890 building) offered a quieter alternative. We gathered around a nice table near the stage on the first floor, and maybe there were a dozen other people there? Yet, on the next Broadway block things were in full swing? We weren't complaining, but wondered why? The first floor at Acme has been described as a high-energy "Funky Tonk" atmosphere featuring a main stage for live music, a large bar, and fast-casual dining. Our band during our stage was even a little different than that, and what an enjoyable group is was! The Mudbug Stompers brought us the sounds of old-time jug bands, Dixieland jazz, blues, trains, baseball, and crawfish boils. Although this is a Nashville Band, we could have easy been on or around Bourbon Street in NOLA. I was particularly impressed with the trumpet player and the lead singer who played a mean mandolin. Add the string base, sax, and fiddle, and we experienced a very impressive whole. We were highly entertained and engaged, and we're still talking about the experience!
