My wife and I love having brunch at Another Broken Egg Café whenever we don't feel like making it at home. They have a great menu, but they also come up with a very interesting seasonal menu, and I make it a point to try all of it. The service never disappoint the team is always cheerful and welcoming. The café is usually busy, although I've never made a reservation. They have plenty of seating, as well as barstools at the bar. On my recent visit, I ordered their eggs with crawfish and shrimp, while my wife got the huevos rancheros. The seafood eggs were amazing slightly fishy, packed with protein, and definitely loaded with calories. The sides were great, too. My wife enjoyed her order as well; everything was packed with flavor. We also had the beignets, and they were hands down the best I've had in a while. Where to start, there was a line so we had to wait outside which had quite a few homeless people sitting there waiting for food to be given to them. Once inside the staff was so kind and helpful. Our waitress was the best! They did have Gluten Free options which was very nice and they were good. I ordered the Cold Brew and it was gross. On a scale of 1 - 10 I would give it a 5 on cleanliness. I guess they allow pets so we listened to this dog bark as the owner threw waffles on the floor for him to eat. I happened to not be a pet person so this was a struggle for me + I felt bad for the dog. All those dirty feet walking on that floor and that dog was eating off of it. Didn't feel right. They did mess up our bill and we ended up realizing after that we over paid. Overall I do not recommend and wouldn't go back. The 4 of us came in for breakfast last Saturday morning, with a fairly reasonable 30 minute wait for our table. Their text system for handling that was efficient and we were all lucky to find a comfortable place to sit both inside and out. Our waitress (Amanda) was sharp in terms of communication, understanding our selections, friendliness, and the ability to move a lot of plates (with food or not) without losing balance. Our table near a front corner was also pleasant and comfortable. Gayle and Erin started off with a pitcher of Mimosas, while I went for OJ and Coffee, and Jim Coffee. Our selections involved 2 orders of Waffles, 1 set of Lemon/Blueberry Pancakes, and French Toast. Meat sides were evenly split between Andouille sausage (for a little extra spice) and bacon, while eggs were either poached, scrambled, or over easy. I especially appreciated that my "Poached Hard" request came back spot on. The Pancakes/Waffles/French Toast were all light, tasty and well served by the maple syrup. It was all delicious and perhaps too much food. We were all happy with our choices and appreciated our upcoming walks to work all this off. read more

Legitimately, this is Nashville's {best} for brunch. We were in town for a weekend to see a show at the Ryman which was top-tier but brunch here was a a close second. You can have it all; the sweet, the savory, the southern, the innovative, and any or all drinks you can think of from mimosas to delicious, dark roasted coffees. **Don't be deterred by the online waitlist either. We were quoted a 30-40 minute wait time, but by the time we left the hotel and arrived we waited only 5 minutes. The kitchen was pumping, the staff was hustling, and everyone was happy and friendly. I have to admit, this was way better than I was expecting from a restaurant within earshot of Lower Broadway. The food was really good. I got the Hash Brown Benedict, and I was a bit surprised that the hash browns were handmade, not frozen. Everything was good and tasty. We were seated and greeted by our waiter who was wonderful. My friend and I ordered the the Mardi Gras omelet which had crawfish,sausage, and shrimp (not that I saw any) but I did see the crawfish and sausage and a side of grits. My other friend had the Lobster omelet with cheese and all side of fruit bowl. And a side of smothered biscuits. We also decided to order a pitcher of Mango Margarita but it was too sweet as well as sour and tasted more like passionfruit juice mixed with alcohol; not a margarita. It was hard to finish it but we tried. All in all the food was good and the service was good. But the margarita needs work. Fabulous wait staff - very personable. Patrick greeted us upon arrival. We had a great conversation with him. Then JR was our waiter. He was so helpful guiding our menu navigation. My husband and I ordered the sunrise spinach omelette and the supreme omelette. We halved them so we could each try each. My meat loving husband preferred the spinach omelette as did I. It is a WINNER!! Both were excellent but spinach edged out supreme- we think it was the cheese that made the difference. The grits were delicious, hubby liked his potatoes. We initially joined the waitlist online, but I'm not too sure how accurate their online wait system is, because when we all arrived at the restaurant, we were given a whole different time. Initially, after joining the waitlist, we were told it was only a 25 minute wait, and when we got to the restaurant with about 10 minutes left on the wait time, they told us it would be another 40 to 45 minutes. After being seated, everything was smooth sailing. I really enjoyed my margarita as well as my hash brown Benedict. I would also highly recommend the waffle. We decided to try this place as it did come highly recommended from other reviews. To us this was just OK. They were extremely busy and we ended up waiting probably a half hour or more to get a table. They do have a waitlist that you join but that just alerts your phone when the table is ready. When we got in, it took a minute for the waitress to come to the table. She was not very attentive as again, they were extremely busy. The eggs in the omelette were overcooked and brown and just tasted off. The side of grits, fruit, potatoes and an English muffin were standard. There was nothing much spectacular that I guess you couldn't do at home. It was really noisy inside and the bathrooms were not very clean. Not sure when we will return again. read more

The loaded grits were an egg-ceptional side, and I tried the hashbrown Benedict the first day and the country power bowl the second day. My fiancée got the soft shell crab omelette the first day and the peach bourbon pancakes the second day. He also really liked the coffee.
