I pulled up recently to grab a bite and was slightly horrified when I heard the order taker say "......blah blah out of garden burgers....." WHAT?! So in a pinch I ordered a chicken sandwich and it did not disappoint. Pair that with the out of this world Orange Creamsicle Shake and you are untouchable! Let's say they are the best burgers I have had! Their fries are a hit and miss, but their burgers are definitely good. They are decently priced and their milkshakes are pretty good. It's is just a drive through burger joint with a retro style. I would say it is better than Dick's burgers at the moment. I truly do not expect, want, or need frugal's to reply to this review. It is simply my expectation and experience with your food. They are in extremely popular and busy burger joint which I think is amazing! Any business that can draw in the crowds that lineup for their food, must be doing something right. Again, I expect no changes to their offerings for the way they do business. Why the two stars? While they are popular and draw big crowds, they are woefully and painfully behind the times. Some people simply want a bottle or a cup of water not sugary soda. When I ask about bottles of water, I received an apology with an explanation that they do not carry bottles of water. So, naturally, I asked if I could get a cup of water. Through the intercom, the young lady, very politely, explain they do not offer cups of water. My choices were Dan sugary soda or sugary milkshakes. They didn't have any ice tea on hand at that particular moment. The biggest issue for me, however, is the lack of ordering their sandwiches lettuce wrap. I know there are a lot of bad diet out there dad out of the benefit of no car. However, there are also a lot of people who simply cannot eat or digest just flour and bread. And yes, for a lot of people, even gluten-free is harmful to their digestive system! With this review means they open, is that my experience consisted of a hamburger patty I could not pick up and eat without using the utensil and happy nothing to drink with the meal. The cost? $6.31. Again, I respect their business acumen in catering build a clientele that adds to their bottom line. With a few simple tweaks to do their menu and their service, it would not only key that wonderfully large customer base, they would also add to that customer base. I hope they are not shortsighted so as to ignore a growing number of people seeking somewhat healthier options. As for the two pieces of ground beef, one slice of American cheese, two strips of bacon, here are my thoughts. If I hadn't read that they were using ground beef, I would not have known the type of meat I was eating as there was zero flavor. The meat was well cooked, it was not dry, and it had good color and texture. It's simply had absolutely no flavor. In addition, there was no salt or pepper on the meet. It was simply meet. The two strips of bacon were crispy on one hand and completely limb on the other end of the strips. I did not attempt this, so I think I could've helped them up to a piece of paper and read through them due to how thin the bacon was! Just pitiful... For a double bacon cheeseburger, there were two nickel sized pickle slices. On the bottom of the can container was less than a quarter cup of shredded lettuce. To their credit, they did provide the condiments in plastic take away containers. They also provided a knife and fork. Still, that is where they fall behind in customer service. This place is a drive-through only place. Do they expect me to eat with a knife and fork from a Styrofoam container while I am driving? That is why a lettuce wrap option, inexpensive as it is, would be a welcome change. read more

Always my go to drive through burger place when I'm in the area. Love that they have two windows which really keeps the line moving. Also like that you can customize your order (add tomato) and the cost is better than most for what you get. They tend to have seasonal specials such as peppermint shakes around Christmas and berry in the summer. The staff are always friendly and have yet to get my order wrong. New way to pay during the Pandemic, now they want to hand you a device that they have handed to every other customer before you, making you sign for your burger, and then ask how much tip you would like to leave them. I no longer live in WA and still make a point to come here for the amazing burgers. It's a drive thru joint and has 2 different windows. If you go in the left lane, your passenger has to do your bidding for you lol. Maybe my palette has matured over the years but it's been a long while where I can have everything on the burger and it is a symphony of taste from tasting the juicy burger, to having the mayonnaise and onion become more prominent. Very solid, decent burger spot located in Parkland. Burgers were good, but not great. Bun was pretty soggy from being inside of the wrapper and the meat was not the best quality. However, overall flavor was nice and the fries were solid. Milkshakes are also solid. Love the nostalgic vibe of the place but the burgers could definitely be improved a bit. read more

Was very excited to try this place but it was a let down. My Oreo shake was so runny and I got a 24 oz. when I told the guy, he said it wasn't supposed to be runny and he was going to make me another one and gave me a 16oz...umm wasn't it supposed to be the price I paid for. Then we ordered a crispy chicken sandwich and got grilled, luckily I checked and had them make us a new one. We also got 2 strawberry milkshakes, which my kids who love shakes, was not impressed with their shakes. The burger was flavorful but was really messy and oily. Great burgers, warm fries, and a delicious strawberry and berry shake (with real fruit in it!) to wash it all down. The outside looks like you're stepping back in time, to a 1950's 60's feel, very neat! Overall this is a great place to swing by and grab a bite to eat as you're driving, or especially for me as I'm a graduate student up at PLU, the convenience of getting off the highway going right toward Frugal's is a win-win in my book. Though it is drive-thru only, so the onslaught of cars may test your patience a bit, but the reward is oh so satisfying. A great place to grab a burger and fries (plus a shake), they also have a nice little check-in bonus for you Yelpers for a free regular fry; get em while they're hot! Yum! This place is awesome. I recently learned about this local burger chain and knew I had to try it out. This place is drive through only and the line was long so I knew it had to be good. I tried the classic cheeseburger, fries, huckleberry shake (special this month) and the fry sauce. Service was so friendly and food was quick at the window. I grew up going to a different Frugals and love their burgers. I was very excited to have one near my new house and have gone three times. The food was good and mostly accurate, but the wait times are absolutely insane. Of the three times I have gone, only once was the wait reasonable at about ten minutes. The second time was about a half hour and the third time was over 45 minutes. If I could have gotten my car out of that line, I would have. I have never had more than 5 or 6 cars in front of me. The other Frugals I have been through could have knocked that out in about ten minutes. What's worse, is that they don't even care. Not even a "sorry for the wait." I will not be going back, which is a shame, since I like the food. I definitely recommend going somewhere else instead, unless you have an hour to blow and just really love hanging out in your car. read more

This is a hit and miss for the perfect burger but it is always good. I love their fries, is like old school kind and never too salty. Their burger size is good for the price, way better than other burger chains. The add pjs are always fresh and the lettuce, onions and pickles are always crunchy. I have also had their pulled pork, but it has left me hungry meaning their sandwich is too small, however the flavor is good. My daughter loves their shakes, they do not have a kids menu but I order regular burger and small shakes for her. Waiting 45 minutes in line for an eggnog milkshake that is advertised on their street sign, for the cashier to say they don't have eggnog and wait another 15 minutes to get out of the line from the speaker point is not my idea of a wild Wednesday night. I ordered a bacon burger and it was delicious. I normal go to their location in Auburn and always enjoy their fresh beef. I'm glad this location didn't disappoint. Depends on the crew but usually this place is really good. Check out the secret menu on their website, bacon bleu and a shake is our favorite and the sheila is a true old school fair burger. The lot they are located in is sketch as all get out. Right next to Foxes strip club and the highway. There is a possibility you could see some unsavory activity but hey, dinner and a show. ***update: this low life company and gm called me and told me i stole from them, that i came through the drive thru and demanded three times the amount of the meal in a cash refund, supposedly i was given said cash, which i was not, then they demanded i repay what i supposedly stole, without any proof so they didn't have to replace a meal **they** messed up on, multiple times. then they ghosted me. it's been over a week since said phone call, plus an email yesterday with zero response. you can make your own decision to eat here or not, but, make sure your food is right or don't complain if it isn't or this is how you'll be treated*** we used to love frugals. we've been coming here for years, at some times, three times a week. there are six of us so our orders are 70$+ each time. i doubt we will come back. our last three times have been not great. something is wrong or forgotten or missing. today, two double bacon burgers had no bacon, the sodas were 2/3rds full and it was mostly ice. we ordered 10 fry sauces and got three and we were missing a large fry. the gentleman at the window assured us that the order was correct. last time my burger was incorrect and we were missing a fry. the time before was a wrong drink and two missing medium fries. we never get the fry sauce we order, ever. i'm tired of frugals thinking they can just take my money. your inefficiency has lost a 200$+/wk customer. oh, and i expect a refund or replacement for the mistakes. read more
