Not the manufactured kind that gets focus-grouped into a brewery template. It feels lived-in and warm, and we got greeted like regulars from the minute we walked in. We had our minds made up on drinks until the bartender offered us samples of a few signature pours. That changed our order entirely. Both of us ended up with something we wouldn't have picked on our own, and both were better than what we'd planned to get. Food was great. Service was sharper than I expected for a brewery. Everyone we interacted with felt like they actually wanted us there. If you're passing through Galveston, stop in. Easiest recommendation I've made in a while.

Found this little gem of a place that has a pretty cool vibe. Very tap house feel at the bar, but with some lounge-type seating as well as bar top ,larger party tables and the standard two and four person tables. Just a note, tea is free here so help yourself! There is construction next door which doesn't look like it is affecting this place at all. Prices are what you might expect of a craft place, perhaps a little on the higher side but with the caveat they are probably in the high rent district. We tried the shrimp basket and al though the service was fantastic and helpful and the place was nice, this particular meal did not stand out as one that would make me want to rush back. It was somewhat bland/underseasoned save for the large chunks of pepper. The cocktail sauce was certainly different which I do like, but it had a Smokey barbecue flavor to it that just didn't pair well for us. Fries were a tad bit soft for our liking as well and also slightly under-seasoned. They had live music there which adds to the charm of the place I think (it was solo guitarist/vocalist) and it did just seem to work on this night after a fun parade it was a great place to get a meal and lounge around with some music and drinks. Fixable food items so giving the place a decent rating but think there's room for improvement.

My friend had a very large crab cake. It had a nice large pieces of white crab meat that also had quite a bit of "stuffing." Others at the table had shrimp plates that looked amazing. We had planned on ordering entrees but Sean never once checked back with us. So, we flagged him down (from 5 feet away) and asked for the tab. So, instead of getting tipped on $150 tab, he got tipped on a $65 tab. My wife and I are both service industry veterans and walk in expecting to drop at least a 25% tip. Sean earned a 15% tip. He cost himself and his employer money. Bartenders should be engaged and as social as they can be. We were the only people seated at the bar and the restaurant was quiet. No reason we should have been ignored.

Thai is my favorite food, so I can be a little picky--it can definitely be hit or miss for me--but this place was a HIT. The Pad Thai was exceptional: flavorful, fresh, and perfectly balanced without being overly salty or sweet, which can sometimes happen with Pad Thai. The fresh spring rolls were delicious, and the Tom Yum soup was absolutely perfect. And I have to mention the service because it makes such a difference! A great attitude from the staff can completely change the vibe of a restaurant, and everyone here was attentive, welcoming, and very well trained. It made the entire experience that much better. Thank you for the delicious food and wonderful service! I liked the relaxed atmosphere. I wanted to try sitting outside but it was too windy and there was dust and leaves and crap blowing around. The water tasted good, which is very rare for restaurants these days! Of course they served it in old plastic cups, though. They include the tax when 'recommending' a tip amount (of 20, 22 or 25%!) - um, that's a bit sketchy, guys.... So is not having the prices on the menu - it came to over $50 for two dishes and one drink.

Too busy on his phone and with friends at the bar. I visit here often and on Thursday happy hour great service. She even sold me your rewards card. Now I'm not sure I'll need it. A side note. You're bar is on the strand and is a vacation and tourist location. One of the songs played had language that should never be played in a public place. Sexist and disgusting. Please get some control of what people are exposed to at your locations. Please do better. I will return but will check and see who your bartender is.
